I'm just not too sure about Owen Coyle, he had a good team at Bolton last season but he didn't get them going as much as he should of. and are already gonna be a game behind by this weekend plus another 6 min after the europa group stage. depending on how serious they take it. i like the look of wigan dont get me wrong. but they will be playing twice a week every week.

Dan Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Surely they have to get rid of these payments? They're in place as a safety net for clubs trying to cope with decreased revenue. With FFP now in place that limits the amount they spend so it becomes much less of a problem. There's no longer a need for parachute payments, now all they serve to do is severely skew the competition in favour of a few. Makes total sense to have them scrapped, immediately. I'd scrap them. Nothing but a reward for failure. Everything wrong with the English game.
