Danno Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Tomlinson's signed to help a charity cause, imagine being part of One Direction and being a pro footballer aswell, that would be sickkkk
Leicester_Numan Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Tomlinson's signed to help a charity cause, imagine being part of One Direction and being a pro footballer aswell, that would be sickkkkAll the sad little one directioners are going to want a shirt with his name on the back. If they give all of that to the charity, all well and good. If they don't they'll make a lot of money this season, very clever marketing ploy but cringeworthy if you're a Doncaster fan
Fox92 Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Tinpot Donny watch us sign Serge now They are a well run club, I really like John Ryan.
Leicfox Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Blackpool set to sign young Liverpool left-back Jack Robinson on a season long loan.
KFS Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Blackpool set to sign young Liverpool left-back Jack Robinson on a season long loan.Would've been a good signing had we not signed Zoom
Guest ttfn Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 QPR sign Charlie Austin. Good, and probably a far less expensive, purchase. The fact they don't have to comply with FFP is an absolute scandal.
StanSP Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Watford close to signing Nick Powell on loan. Okay now I'm pissed off My reaction. That's a really good player there.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Sorry guys but all I can see is some other clubs continuing to strengthen. QPR with Austin could be the cherry on the top. This is gonna be a tough season.
Dan Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 The fact they don't have to comply with FFP is an absolute scandal. The fact they don't have to comply with FFP is an absolute scandal. It really is and it completely undermines the whole idea of Financial 'Fair' Play. Typical really. Half decent logic, yet the execution has been nothing short of a disaster.

Guest Col city fan Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 What exactly is "fair" about a system where three of the teams play under different rules to everyone else?! I agree... As far as I can see, and I'm no financial fookin whizz kid , FFP and Parachute payments are at direct odds with each other. To be giving such a competitive advantage over the three teams relegated, for four seasons!, whilst restricting the other teams around them seems dramatically unfair?
Harry - LCFC Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Surely they have to get rid of these payments? They're in place as a safety net for clubs trying to cope with decreased revenue. With FFP now in place that limits the amount they spend so it becomes much less of a problem. There's no longer a need for parachute payments, now all they serve to do is severely skew the competition in favour of a few. Makes total sense to have them scrapped, immediately.
Corky Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 Sorry guys but all I can see is some other clubs continuing to strengthen. QPR with Austin could be the cherry on the top. This is gonna be a tough season. So they should, when they can benefit from £48 million over four years basically just for being shit at a higher level. Parachute payments are just a reward for failure.

whoareyaaa Posted 1 August 2013 Posted 1 August 2013 QPR and more importantly ARRY will get all the press this season, should put some pressure on them.
iamafox Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Grant Holt's scored two goals in one minute. Edit: He hasn't actually, BBC cocked up again.
Corky Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 Yeovil winning at Millwall. MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Daz93 Posted 3 August 2013 Posted 3 August 2013 http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/championship/transferuebersicht/wettbewerb_GB2.html All the transfers so far. Interesting to see how the Championship has been tightening its purse. Transfer revenue: 28.384.400 £ Transfer expenditures: 13.930.400 £ Total: +14.454.000 £ Financial Fair Play definitely making an impact.
