Clazie Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Sacking Dave Jones could go the opposite way that we're all thinking for us, what if it leaves them a manger-less demoralised squad?
Guest kristianity77 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 It wont make any difference that hes been sacked when they play us. Man for man we are streets ahead of them so if we play half decent, we will turn them over.

Leicesterpool Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 I'm not sure it's good news that's Jones as been sacked just days before we travel there, it'll raise the Wednesday players who will look to impress the next boss. I wonder who'll go to Wednesday? Is Di Canio already spoken for Bristol City? or does Sven fancy a return to England?
lgfualol Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 You can;t post a Daily Mail link and say it's even a lil official.

I wonder who'll go to Wednesday? Is Di Canio already spoken for Bristol City? or does Sven fancy a return to England? Well let's hope it's not Sven. What he can do is to get players to pick themselves up off the floor pretty quickly. Then they realise it's all been an act and hit the ground with a bump again. It is a shame Jones has been sacked. He's had a good chance of something at Wednesday and, to be fair, has fooked it up good and proper.
Corky Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 In my opinion he's a poor manager. He did well at Burnley granted but I think he's been living off that promotion for the past few years. With a decent manager in charge Wigan could be challenging at the top with their current squad. Though playing in the Europa league certainly hasn't helped. Biggest loss for Wigan was Martinez. He'd have them near the top now.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Biggest loss for Wigan was Martinez. He'd have them near the top now. I completely agree. Wigan really have been a right fookin flop so far this season. With that chump at the helm it's no shock though. He just talks and talks and talks and talks.. And most of it is bollox.
Dan Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 The timing is typical. I thought if Jones was still in charge we'd go there and thump them literally 0-4/5. I still think we'll win but it'll be another 1-2 job.
Soar Fox Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Biggest loss for Wigan was Martinez. He'd have them near the top now. Of course it is. But the squad that Coyle has at his disposal and the money he hasn't spent they should be a lot higher than 14th.

Absolutely, no disagreement there. He's been awful since the cup semi-final two and a half years ago, Bolton were fairly stable until then and he had no clue how to turn it around. Started last season poorly, sacked then given a great chance at the FA Cup winners, in Europe with a decent squad for this level and money to spend. You'd have to be crap to be 14th now.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Whatever the Wally with the brolly is doing at Derby, he's doing it right. Another 3 goals today.
Happy Fox Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 I really cannot see the sheepshaggers sustaining this momentum they will fall off the rails when we beat them!
Devonfox1884 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Biggest loss for Wigan was Martinez. He'd have them near the top now. Agreed. Do you think NP would have wigan near the top, or do you think he's better when there's not as much money to spend??
Strokes Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 We've lost then.Milan hardly has a good track record at appointing intrim/caretaker managers.
Devonfox1884 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Milan hardly has a good track record at appointing intrim/caretaker managers. wasn't it him who appointed chris powell as caretaker manager for a couple of games?? Correct me if im wrong, which i probably am

Devonfox1884 Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 He was at the club still but our owners were pulling the strings by then. That makes sense, only decent caretaker manager we've had in ages, of course it wasn't mandaric's idea!
Soar Fox Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 Shame Coyle has been sacked, they'll probably start picking up now. Can see Holloway or Karl Robinson going there.
Brooksy Posted 1 December 2013 Posted 1 December 2013 If Wigan can appoint a decent manager I reckon they'll be up there come the end of the season.
Xen Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Sacking Dave Jones could go the opposite way that we're all thinking for us, what if it leaves them a manger-less demoralised squad? The SWFC Christmas nativity just won't be the same this year...
