Leicesterpool Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 They don't play in the group stages do they? (Because they are hosts?). I mean in the actually tournament.
Fox92 Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 I mean in the actually tournament. Oh I get you now. It isn't the best Brazil side I've ever seen. But then again, the last time they won the World Cup they had the likes of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Cafu. Better players than what they seem to have now.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Never said I wanted Redknapp in. Plus, QPR were already a sinking ship when he took them over. Rooney is up top on his own with no service. You could put any player in the World there and they wouldn't do anything. All this 'Rooney is overrated' talk annoys me, he isn't the worst player (I'm not saying he's the best either)... He plays with better players at Manchester United, and he doesn't play as a lone striker... I'd like to see the manager out first before our forward. He may well be up there without any service TONIGHT. Usually he's running around like a blue arsed fly in defence or midfield and then we have noone up there. Hodgson and every other managers since his debut have been guilty of trying to revolve our play around Rooney. He was bought back in for the 3rd group game and the Italy game only for fear of being crucified by the media and these so called experts who bum Rooney. It so happened we were wank when he returned, unsurprisingly IMO. I saw Kamara in Kiev airport after the Italy game. I was dying to ask him one to one his genuine opinion of Rooney as I simply can't believe all these pundits honestly think he's as good as they say on the TV. If Woy won't drop Rooney then I agree, get rid of him. Bring in a manager with big enough bollocks who will.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Once we attack we're strong, it just proves negative tactics get England no where! Yeah this is true, when they scored we had no choice to attack and immediately things got better.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Maybe, they reached the WC final in 2002 though, cant see us doing that next year. True enough, but they did have the easiest run to a World Cup Final I've ever seen. They had Ireland, Cameroon and Saudi Arabia in their group before playing Paraguay, the USA and South Korea in the knock-out stages. No disrespect to those sides, but I'd expect England to cruise to at least a semi final with that line up.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Just can't understand why Rickie Lambert hasn't been called up, what is it fifteen goals in the premier league and Fat boy as scored, yes!
Guest Bilo Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Two ridiculous goals from England tonight, that Brazil goal was some wake up call.
marko Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Well I never thought this would happen at half time. I bet Roy Keane's upset.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Rooney, because he's so shit... apparently. 6 goals in seven now for England, he is rubbish.
purpleronnie Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Nice deflection but I'll take it everytime. Whats going on.
Fox in the North Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Incredible finish! How are england winning this? Wait a second, don't care one jot
Finnegan Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Ridiculous really. Joe Hart should be man of the match because Brazil had to have been out of sight by half time. Could have been 4 - 0.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Get Holt and Lambert up front, they're much better than Rooney.
Fox92 Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 I was just typing my Rooney reply as he scored that. I think it says it all for me. He might not be World Class, but he isn't overrated and there is no doubt he is one of our better players. 7 goals in his last 7 Internationals, (incuding 2 against Brazil) backs that up.
kingfox Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 That's what you get when we switch tactics and don't become so negative and defensive. Like I said Milner is better in the centre than on the wing, and he is proving this. Great strike, hopefully they can hold on now.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 June 2013 Posted 2 June 2013 Okay i know what i said about Rooney, but we shouldn't treat him like a god. Like some people on this forum do.
