Why would he be, hes Danish.

Ok, perhaps I should have said is Joe Hart trying to copy Kasper or is Joe Hart Kasper in disguise?....

...I was alluding to Joe Hart's kicking.

Joe Harts distribution is about as useful as a DHL plane with one pissing wing!!! Lucky he's a good shot stopper. (I'm assuming that was a distribution joke too matt?)

Secondly, addressing Vacamion's post, the fact is that right now we are a middling side. But the players we had 5-10 years ago should have been challenging for major honours. That was not a collection of quarter- final standard players. We probably average a QF standard team, this one is some way below that, the one of 2003-9 should have been some way above that.

Agree completely.

We had our chance, against Brazil, in Japan in 2002.

We bottled it.

We could have won the bloody thing that year, but we went out in the 1/4 final, again.

This is awful.

The only thing I've taken from it is that I quite like the camera angle they have going on. It's like Im watching PES or something.

I think the team that Carlton Palmer got 20 odd caps for under Graham Taylor takes that accolade - but this one ain't far off.

Palmer was just a ridiculous choice though with players like Ince, Robson and even David Batty around.

I think this is just about the best XI available to Hodgson and even including injured players I think only Wilshere and Gerrard would come in.

FWIW I think Jones, Wilshere, Hart and Sturridge have all got a shot of getting to the required standard for us to compete at the back end of a major tournament. Maybe Walcott too, he's still young.

But go back 10 years and we had 5 top class centre halves, 2 top class full backs, at least 5 top class midfielders, and 2 excellent forwards. And we still got nowhere near winning a tournament.

Think I'd rather watch paint dry........ On the outside of the Maracana....

OMG we're awful, we've got 11 players who are knackered after 10 minutes. Where on earth is our experiments no Zaha, Lambert, Agbonlahor, ha would have even called up Morgan!

How an earth are we going to go cope if we do qualify, HODGSON OUT!

How much do you hate Roy Keane?

Keane's great.

I think my view is perhaps obscured by the fact he's probably my favourite ever footballer, certainly midfielder.

People are always saying how shit we are yet still expect us to play well against the likes of brazil, when the only player that would get in their team is hart.

Needs to be an acceptance that we are not on same level. So a potential draw in brazil will be a great result.

Do you mean generally, for stuff like deliberately maiming an opponent and bragging about it in his book, or deserting his country just before a major tournament, or being a shite manager after one miraculous stint which he has lived off ever since, or specifically, because he is an abrasive foreign pundit who appears to revel in our failures.

On both counts, very much.

Townsend never lets me down.

'Brazil have a reputation for having a dodgy defence, but now they have players like David Luiz at the back...'

Aye, nasty piece of work he is.

He's not even a likeable willy puller either, just a willy puller.

Great footballer though.

Should we just abandon talking about the game and talk about the Roy Keane enigma instead?

Absolutely flaming shit, and now they can't get any pics, so we have to put up with Chiles face even more

Milner is starting for defensive reason's, but this defensive shit is too defensive and negative. It's awful absolutely poor, and when they do get the ball they are giving it away again.

Glen Johnson is terrible, and always has been, Micah Richards when he begins to get his fitness back, really deserves a call up and a starting place.

Baines had a poor game, and Ashley Cole is coming to an end of his International Career, so next time I want Luke Shaw to be given a shot.
