Corky Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Spherical Fox â€@SphericalFox24h @John__Percy any #LCFC movement? Awfully quiet! Has Nige got the club on lockdown? John Percy â€@John__Percy23h @SphericalFox needs to sell before he can buy. Waghorn Drinkwater Beckford Danns Gallagher Wellens St Ledger can go Plenty of Pearson's so-called favourites in there.
Simo86 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I believe the Merc stated he was out of contract, but that it was an error repeated several times. As said above I think he has a year left. Ah right, bloody papers eh
hackneyfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 This is why the decision to not sell Kasper is all the more stupid! We could quite easily miss out on some of our targets if we have to release some income before we can buy. £2 million for Kasper and the years wages is nearly £3 million saved I suspect, plus we'd have got our centre half to play alongside Wes. That £2 million could be used to bring in a new GK, central midfielder and a winger. Then the pressures off and we can dispose of Wellens, SSL, Danns, Beckford, Drinkwater, Gallagher etc. I know it doesn't exactly work like that, but there's no sense in keeping Schmeichel for me. I'm baffled by us not selling him for 2m + Hobbs Either NFP doesn't want Hobbs Or he wants 4m cash Or he's confident off getting Beckford, Danns Gallagher etc off the wage bill. Or we aren't in as much finanacial trouble as we thought and he can still bring in players without selling Schmeichel.

Or, option 5: It's all a bad dream & I'll wake up any time now surrounded by empty Buckfast bottles.
Callabinho Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 It's a shame all the players we are trying to shift are wank and no one wants them.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Drinkwater is a bag of shit. If he stays and we play him next season and he performs like he did in the second half of the season just gone, then god help us, mid table all the way. We can improve on him, we don't need negative players in our side, James and King aren't negative, we can replace Drinkwater with either a hard man because Drinky is a puff, or we can replace him with a better attacking minded midfielder, someone in the mould of Mark Davies when we had him on loan. For me, I would concentrate on getting Beckford, Danns and St Ledger out first, and then concentrate on the rest.
bmt Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 There arent sanctions for ffp this coming season are there? Thought it was 14/15
Chazwaz Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 The Waghorn quote wasn't to do with me asking you about FFP it was more a general question as he keeps getting included in the list of players who can leave. Why's that? Compared to most of us they are all on ridiculous amounts of money, so it doesn't prove he's a high earner in the squad. Don't go stating things that you really know nothing about Gallagher is definitely on more than nearly any other bench warmer in this league
Simo86 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Gallagher is definitely on more than nearly any other bench warmer in this league But you don't know that, so why say it?
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 There arent sanctions for ffp this coming season are there? Thought it was 14/15 yeh i think so, but if we spend again and then dont go up, then we really are fooked!
Chazwaz Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 But you don't know that, so why say it? It might be an assumption but based on the fact he was given a contract under sven makes me think he's on a fair amount and he did tweet himself suggesting he's on a lot, and has two years left.
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I actually think Troy Deeney would come here if we made a bid, he full on bums us. After the game against them he started his post match interview by showing his appreciation for us, and has since spent his time arse licking us when asked a 'favourite question'. E.G best away ground, and questions about Wes. I've noticed this too. When asked what was the best atmosphere he'd experienced he said Leicester away in the POs, also seemed very keen on being respectful when they had beaten us. I've not known many players to admire another club as he seems to with us, does he know a few of our players or something? For me he seems a bit of a **** what with his entanglements with the law but clearly a good player. Having said that I can't imagine Pearson would like him much.

Like I said before whatever he's on he's getting for not doing a great deal so the money signs could be him saying he's on a lot more than what the person who tweeted him was on, it depends how you look at it I guess
Deucalion Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 There arent sanctions for ffp this coming season are there? Thought it was 14/15 The sanctions start next year but they are based on this year's finances. So...we could go for broke and hope we are in the PL next year but we have tried that before and failed. If we don't comply this year, then next year we will be fined and could have a transfer embargo enforced. I believe this to be so anyway.
morris1234 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 A question on ffp....if fined for breaching the rules...what if this fine then puts the club over the edge for the next season...and as a result get fined again? You get the picture!?
Dan Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I've thought that in the past. Also makes points deductions nonsensical.
Brainy Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 why do people think he has a soft spot for us just because he reckoned the atmosphere was good in the Play Offs?
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 why do people think he has a soft spot for us just because he reckoned the atmosphere was good in the Play Offs? There were other reasons mentioned you know.....
LCFC FOX Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Troy Deeney â€@T_Deeney6 Jun “@HEGGSY_16: Something tells me @T_Deeney has a soft spot for #lcfc is this true #askdeeney†no it not
VLC86 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I heard he tried to sky that shot and then threw his shirt on the floor in disgust because it wasn't blue
Fox42 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I genuinely think we have no chance of getting promoted judging on the shite we're linked with. COME ON PEER SUN.
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Well of course he's going to deny it if asked directly. I don't know, I'm not definitely saying yes but he's said enough in the past to make me suspicious. Not usual for players to make a series of positive comments about another club.
kingfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 I heard he tried to sky that shot and then threw his shirt on the floor in disgust because it wasn't blue And when he jumped into the crowd, he headbutted one of the Watford fans, and suddenly went invisible and tripped Zola up.
Danizen Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 why do people think he has a soft spot for us just because he reckoned the atmosphere was good in the Play Offs? It's like when a nice girl smiles at an awkward boy and the boy misinterprets this for true love and embarrasses himself... Not that that has ever happened to me, I might add.
