lol sorry, I hope you don't mind me using one of your quoted tweets to shut some of these deluded people up lol

We're not being that unreasonable, suggesting a player may admire a club from a number of comments made.

There's a real tendency to exaggerate on here, "deluded" just isn't the word.

@T_Deeney: “@HEGGSY_16: Something tells me @T_Deeney has a soft spot for #lcfc is this true ;) #askdeeney†no it not

I genuinely think we have no chance of getting promoted judging on the shite we're linked with. COME ON PEER SUN.

We all thought the same in summer 2009 when we were signing a Lincoln winger, a defender out of favour at Hull, Bristol City's second choice 'keeper, a Sunderland loanee forward. We were a shoot out from Wembley.

I agree there's very little to be excited about but if we make sensible additions and show the right mentality anyone can get out of this league. You've only got to look at how dour Cardiff & Hull were at times and they've made the top two.

I think it's obvious nothing will happen until we rid ourselves of the crap, but that's exactly what they are, do how shall we be rid of them?

Drinkwater is a bag of shit.

If he stays and we play him next season and he performs like he did in the second half of the season just gone, then god help us, mid table all the way.

If ALL of the players play like they did the last third of the season we'll be midtable.... if he or they play like they did the first two thirds then we could find ourselves 2nd a week or two into Feb again.

There arent sanctions for ffp this coming season are there? Thought it was 14/15

Yes... but the sanctions are decided on what we spend THIS season.

The sign of a clueless manager if this is the best we can muster up.

Spot on!!!!!! We have needed a ball player in the middle of the park for god knows how long now, someone who can dictate the game in the oppositions half, but instead we are looking at hatchet man?? He hides on the pitch, rarely goes past the halfway line & only gets himself recognised when he does one of his numerous mistimed tackles. If we need a person to make meaningless little 2 yard passes in our own half then he's the man for us.

Oh for fûck sake... Pearson is clueless because we've been weakly linked with a player...

Kind of ill thought out throw away comments that make NP's job look impossible as he'll always fail. Last season Most people bemoaned the lack of a ball winner / metal in the middle of the park against the more physical sides that cost us so many points last year.

We create plenty of chances, that much is painfully obvious we do seemingly need a player to lead by example when the going gets tough. Am sure mj a king & ak would reap the benefits of such a player.

This is going the same way as the first Twitter Links thread...

I think next time we need to say you can only post quoted tweets in said thread, no comments or discussion. Otherwise it's basically just rambling drivel over idle speculation.

There is no way Troy Deeney will be playing in a Leicester shirt next season

Did Dr Watson help you figure that one out?

well people on this thread seem to think we could sign him if we put a bid in because he made a few comments on twitter about us. Stupid

The sanctions start next year but they are based on this year's finances.

So...we could go for broke and hope we are in the PL next year but we have tried that before and failed. If we don't comply this year, then next year we will be fined and could have a transfer embargo enforced.

I believe this to be so anyway.

Ahh i understand. Cheers, I was hoping we had another year. What can we lose this year without sanctions?

It was going this way the other day when I asked why the first one was locked.

As it does every year lol

I'm not an expert on this but I've tried to get some kind of idea what is happening.

I think that the sanctions this year (for last year's accounts) are the same as they have been for a year or two.  I believe it is pointed out to the club that they are not abiding by FFP and that is it.

So no sanctions but also no leeway for claiming ignorance of the implications of FFP once sanctions do come into play.

Are we?

Who says? Reporters? ... They've got to put some names forward, it's part of their job, but it doesn't mean Nigel is interested at the player. These rumours are annoying, most (if not all) won't even be true. So just chill out, and don't take the rumours so serious.
