Do you have any pets ?

No... I hate cats and dogs always seem to want to kill me (I'm slightly scared of dogs tbh).

You couldn't keep my favourite animals as pets.

Not at the moment. Not really allowed in a flat and my place is not really suitable.

Can a rabbit be house trained? Saw a rabbit inside the Alexandra in Derby. Complete with hutch and play area. I can only assume that there was not enough room outside for it. Not as friendly as a dog. In the coming to you and being licked way. Just curled up sleeping.

Ken - rabbits are probably the easiest animal to house-train. They always shit in the same area (in case they need to re-eat it to get more nutrients, in lean times) so you just put a tray in their designated area and once they've used it they won't go anywhere else. The only problem is some will develop a habit of chewing wires if you don't give them alternatives, but there's a deterrant spray you can use which they won't go for.

Currently without any proper pets, arguing with the missus over what dog to get next year - she wants a labrador, I want a springer spaniel

Probably why they had the rabbit in it's own little playpen. If I had room I'd consider it. Depends how long they could be left if going away but I suspect if you put extra food out they'll just eat the same. Dogs however would eat the lot in one sitting.

I've got 2 cats and a dog.

The dog and one of the cats I've had since the late 90s, the other cat for 10 years. In that time I can definitely say I prefer dogs. They're more fun, charming, friendly and nicer looking (well, a retriever is anyway). Although she is 14 now and is getting senile, blind, deaf, mad, even a bit incontinent. She's still lovely though.

The cats are just swines most of the time. Today I was making a chicken sandwich and one of ther bastards just jumped up right in the middle of me making it and went for the chicken. At least the dog knows she's only supposed to have stuff on the floor.

I fúcking hate cats. Scum of the earth.

I'd like a dog though. My mate's got a dog and he's boss, like another person in the house.

Massively disagree. My cats are ledges. One just wants to play all the time and the other just wants to chill with you.

Yeah it's probably sweet when it's your cat. Plays with you, chills with you, shits in everyone else's garden.

I hate cats. Come in the garden, sit on your car. My mate used to have three, and one of the little gits scratched me.

I am not keen on cats but a cat would be better suited for me and my flat and lifestyle. A dog needs attention all the time and exercise. Fish, birds  have to be fed. Little fury rodents dont llive long. So cats because they can look after themselves and if not fed for a couple of days will either hunt or find a kindly old dear that will feed it.

Unlike Ozleicester, I don't subject animals to a life of servitude and captivity.

Until one of them sat on Fox92's car.
