That was a really, really dull game of football.

I pity any neutrals who watched that shit, because as a STH I needed an injection of caffeine to stay awake at half-time.

Leeds showed zero ambition for 90 minutes, and we showed zero ambition for an hour. There was almost no quality on display today, with the exception of one or two nice flashes from Knockaert, Moore's rock steady performance at right-back and Austin's imperious performance in central midfield for them. I've heard a lot about him before without really seeing him and I was really, really impressed.

No quality + no ambition = no goals. Must do better.

You can't win every game and as long as we draw instead of lose I'm happy. Teams that get promoted from this division are solid and consistent. Everyone wants promotion and the first 2 games of this season on paper were tough and to get 4 from 6 is a good return.

I actually quite enjoyed the game, knowing either team could win it or it could end in a draw right up until the final whistle. You couldn't really say neither team were up for it either. There were some good physical battles. I feel last season we would have let them bully us and we would have ended up conceding. I really like the back 3 of Moore, Whitbread and Morgan, they are all so physically strong and good in the air that teams will really struggle to score from crosses and set pieces which is where the danger lies against the lesser teams.

I agree with ADK, clearly Pearson is adding the extra defender to deal with our awful set piece defending towards the end of the last campaign.

I'm happy with that, conceding from set pieces really fvcks me off.

And it appeared to work today .... didn't look like conceding from a corner to be fair, and i can't remember the last time we didn't!!!

Was talking about this with mi mates last night.

There is SO much more the club could do.

How about having a pay at the gate section? With a turnstile, turn up on the gate, 20 quid to get in. Any of the remaining three corners would do for this. Rather have those areas with people in than empty.

Secondly, how about some post-match entertainment? Putting on an old game, an interview with an ex-player... And keep the beer flowing at £2.50 a pint for an hour or so after the game. Many of the old guys like to hang about for a bit anyway (waiting for the traffic to 'die down') so why not keep some people back by letting them drink at the ground, rather than in a local boozer?

Finally, why don't the KP stage any concerts? It's been basically empty all summer!

It seems to me that the marketing people at the club are completely devoid of ideas to generate income and make the ground a more exciting place to be.

all valid points. apart from we cant get a safety cert for concerts due to the fact our ground is already falling apart.

What is the reason for the safety vert not being granted for concerts??? Is it that we don't have enough fire exits??

Is it that it's a safety thing at all and not a restrictive covenant in the planning application?

I do not know, I sang from the back of the Kop in SK3 and no one would join in... bloody terrible!

We were towards the back of SK1, got going a couple of times but not good. Don't know why people are happy to just sit there and let Leeds take over the place year in, year out, it's embarrassing.

It should spur our fans on, make them abit competative, compete against each other, attempt to drown each other out, but no, our fans just sit there. Quietly.

Another point, empty seats, everywhere, very empty today, I know it was on Sky and I know people might still be on holiday but I personally noticed a drop in fans today.

Thought the attendance was disappointing but no surprise when $ky ruined it as usual and it was most likely priced badly. It should be alright against Birmingham, and I can see them bringing a similar number to Leeds.

I agree. I also thought Whitbread looked solid. He's shite on the ball, but as an out-and-out solid defender he made some last ditched challenges, particularly the one to head over our own bar.

We still lack that creative midfield player with the final killer ball. Knocky helped in this respect, but he's no Gary Parker. That's the type of player this team is absolutely crying out for.

Poor Vardy had literally fook all to feed off.

Whitbread wasn't bad. He had a poor first half but improved a lot in the second.

The midfield is what concerned me today. As a three - they're just far too similar. They're all tidy footballers, but none of them have a creative spark, none of them are going to constantly win you the ball back. Setting up with those three and Konchesky as 4 of your 5 is asking for a low score.

That line up simply won't work. There's a lot of players it suits but there's just no obvious attacking plan at all to me other than shite hoofball.

Why oh why he insists on not using Knockaert I'll never know.

Jesus, I know our expectations have dropped but come on. Ah well, may as well join in; James's long throw is a great weapon it really has added a lot to our attacking options.

It was Moore wasn't it??

Was there any shots on target from us at all??

Today was exactly what I was expecting to be honest. Normal service utterly resumed.

Going to be a long long season based on what I saw today.

Nevermind, Pearson will be 'working hard in training' I'm sure.

Poor performance all round...no positives from the game that I can think of!

We looked like headless chickens for most of the match no leadership no passion and no fooking chance of promotion judging by that effort today.

Leeds didn't give us any time on the ball, closed us down continuously which unfortunately showed our limitations. Our passing was woeful and the final ball simply not good enough.Seriously my son's under 12 academy team pass the ball sweeter.

Back on the training ground Nige and sort the feckers out.

And I bet you that £30 quid the negative moaning on here wouldnt exist had we nicked the 3 points.

2 games in and some 'fans' are suicidal already!

It IS embarrassing

I definitely think some people over-react when we lose but I've read very little in here that's made me think "kinell, idiot". It's been mainly constructive criticism.

I'm well aware it's only the second game - that doesn't make it exempt from criticism. No-one has said it's season over, or that we won't do anything as a result.

The result was average at best, the performance wasn't good enough. No point trying to cover that up for the sake of not pissing off some people who clearly can only see one viewpoint.

I wouldn't say people criticizing, i think people are just pointing where we need to improve and that's it.

Got lost in the lost bar, so just got home.

Well where to start, what a boring game.

We were the better of two very average sides, Leeds fancied before today, and us as always fancied for promotion, but on today's showing both sides can forget about promotion, both mid table sides unless something dramatic changes.

We looked so clueless as an attacking force for most of the game, with wood the only player who looked like he had a goal in him.

I see are biggest problem is we have no creativity from the middle of the park, and the front two are left with half chances, or long balls hit in hope, basically feeding off scraps.

Didn't hold much hope for the season and on that mediocre showing have even less hope.

Awful, dour, boring.

Moore was the only one to come out with any credit.

We just didn't ever make the right pass selection and there was no quality on display from us at any point. I don't think the problem is the formation, it's the personnel. Matt James has been a massive disappointment for me in the first three games, he's not got into any of them. Hoping he's not going to be the Marshall of this campaign. Drinkwater I thought was pretty poor and King made uncharacteristic mistakes. On days like today it's about someone stepping up and grabbing the game to try and make something happen. To their credit, Knockaert and Wood did this.

Whitbread is awful. Playing out from the back and ball retention are two things that he cannot do. He's extrememly clumsy as well. You can say it's rustiness but I think he's gone as a player - he was making the same mistakes last season (Watford and Barnsley away were two of the worst defensive displays I've seen by someone in a City shirt). It's almost like he'd rather just desperately grab at a player and give a free kick away than let them run away from him. If St Ledger's out for a while then I think we need another centre back in in addition. Get rid Nigel!

At least it wasn't a defeat. It's too early in the season to be getting too worried, remember last season we were playing well for half games and not picking up any points. We'll get into our stride soon enough.

Aye, constructive criticism. Criticism really isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

BBC says two shots on target for us and none for Leeds, Leeds did close us down but we didn't move the ball quick enough which helped them, Dyer was in acres at times but aimless passes from Drinkwater and slow predictable play allowed Peltier time to close down Lloyd.

It was obvious if we had run at them, they shit themselves, which is what Wood did at the first opportunity hitting the post. But our midfield went sideways or backwards far too often.

From what I saw today there was little quality, the plan seemed to be hoof and hope for a throw which Liam moore can chuck into the box.

Didn't go today but from what I saw on sky it was an utterly abysmal game with regards to entertainment. What frustrated me is that we were trying to force something to happen too much. Too often we were playing it into the channels too soon, trying for the killer ball or Kasper was trying to get an attack halfway up the pitch before our players were even ready. This lead to us giving possession away far too easily. Felt sorry for Nuge and Vardy who had f**k all too feed on all game. If we play 3-5-2 it can't be the three CMs that played today. All of them look to keep us ticking over and are good at being solid sitting central midfielders, but don't make the runs in the final thrid we need. This leaves no link between midfield and attack and no creative spark. Once Knocky came on running between the lines we looked a much more attacking side. I agree that 3-5-2 can be very effective away from home in the way we have been using it, but not starting Knocky and playing Konch at LWB screams of a defensive formation...

Otherwise really pleased with the back three. All of them were very solid which showed in Leeds having next to no chances at all.

I can't really recollect a neutral game over recent times where I switched off the tele. Certainly very few of the Prem games.

Today, yes we got a point. If that's enough for you against a Leeds side who clearly came for a draw, then so be it.

I said this last season. I'm less bothered about whatever result we get, as long as I'm entertained by the game. That's not to say I'd be happy to lose them all. But I watch football to see killer passes, tricks, flair and goals.

Today's game, especially first half was dreadful to watch.

Welcome to my world Col. What's the point of football if not to try and play it properly? Setting up to not lose is not the same as setting up to try and win, in every game so far we've played not to lose, I don't actually think this is what Pearson is asking them though. If you listen to his pre and post match comments he's quite clear that he's happy for them to take chances but for what ever reason they are reluctant to do so.

That was genuinely infinitely better than the first half at Boro though.
