purpleronnie Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Aaron Ramsey really is probably the best player in the world
purpleronnie Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I bet a certain Mr. J Mourinho won't sleep all too well tonight. Chelsea 1 -2 Basel. What a turnaround! I thought he might last 2 seasons, maybe it'll just be 1.
Guest shearfox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I thought he might last 2 seasons, maybe it'll just be 1. 1 month more like it, some terrible football and results...
MC Prussian Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 God, I love results like tonight's. Beating a star-studded Chelsea side with tons of overpaid egos just feels sooo good. Sometimes, football's really great.
purpleronnie Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 1 month more like it, some terrible football and results... Maybe Never go back. He left Chelsea as some kind of demi-god, still amazed he back back to them.
Finnegan Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Aaron Ramsey really is probably the best player in the world Easily worth 87m.
ScouseFox Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 Easily worth 87m. I might back Wales to win the 2016 Euros. Obviously gonna happen.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 "...egg on your face." "With?" "Egg on your face."
Finnegan Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I might back Wales to win the 2016 Euros. Obviously gonna happen. Rob Earnshaw, out of the wilderness, bags 96th minute toe-poke winner from five yards against Spain.
Dan Posted 18 September 2013 Posted 18 September 2013 I suppose for all the negatives in modern football, it truly is brilliant when a club like Chelsea falls at home to Basel. Imagine the amount of shit Benitez would've got from the Chelsea (sign willy puller) fans if he'd produced their last two results? I still think Arsenal will struggle to get out of that group but hold fire - I'd love to know what odds you could get on them and Napoli going through. Everyone had Dortmund down as the banker but I'm really not convinced, that's a very big win for Napoli tonight. How bad are AC Milan?! Them over the past season and a bit have been completely unregonisable compared to previous Milan sides, same with Inter as well actually.
Finnegan Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Anyone that Dortmund down as "the banker" or expected them to walk Napoli away simply doesn't follow football.
VinceNoir Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 I usually love fairytale stories like Basel beating Chelsea, but if Chelsea had won, I would've won 15000 Danish Kroner (roughly £1500) from a £1 bet. I can't believe that was the game that let me down!

MC Prussian Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 That's the fella with the strong anti-Isreal views isn't it? I think there was some media hype over alleged comments by Basel's two Egyptians Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny prior to the game away at Maccabi Tel-Aviv (coached by none other than Paulo Sousa). According to Salah himself, he was sort of pushed by Egyptian media and social networks not to travel to Israel in order to make a political statement. It was also widely (and falsely) reported that Salah and Elneny were to "boycott" the game against Maccabi Tel-Aviv ("I surely wouldn't want to play against Zionists in Israel"). Lots of hot air, in my opinion.

Corky Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Having listened to Chelsea fans relentlessly bang on about Mourinho coming back, slagging off Benitez with their shit little banners and flags, it would be quite amusing if this return fails.
Finnegan Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Having listened to Chelsea fans relentlessly bang on about Mourinho coming back, slagging off Benitez with their shit little banners and flags, it would be quite amusing if this return fails. My God, this. So much.
Fox92 Posted 19 September 2013 Posted 19 September 2013 Having listened to Chelsea fans relentlessly bang on about Mourinho coming back, slagging off Benitez with their shit little banners and flags, it would be quite amusing if this return fails. I agree. The way they treated Benitez was not fair. He didn't sack Di Matteo, he didn't appoint himself.
Finnegan Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Unbelievable goal from Arsenal. Great hold up play and a good flick from Giroud, great run and cross from Ramsey and a stunning finish from Ozil. Classic Arsenal goal.
ScouseFox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Shit the bed how good are Arsenal. Quadruple beckons.
