LanguedocFox Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 All the top countries should fail to qualify and make blatter look the like knob head he actually is. No, all the top countries should decline to enter. End of.
LanguedocFox Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 From The Fiver, The Guardian's football email newsletter: 24 April 2010: "I strongly feel that the World Cup should come to Qatar. I'm a regular visitor to Qatar and every time I land here I am impressed by all the development" – Sepp Blatter backs Steaming Hot Qatar's bid for the 2022 World Cup. 3 December 2010: "We go to new lands … the Middle East and Arabic world have been waiting for a long time, so I'm a happy president " – Sepp Blatter enthusiastically greets the news that Steaming Hot Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup. 13 December 2010: "This is development of football and don't speak about money. It is the development of the game. We have to take it to places where it can improve and have a social and cultural impact" – Sepp Blatter continues to bang the drum for Steaming Hot Qatar 2022. 9 September 2013: "I think it is high time that Europe starts to understand that we do not rule the world anymore and that some former European imperial powers can no longer impress their will on to others in faraway places and we must accept that football has moved away from being a European and South American sport. It has become the world sport that billions of fans are excitedly following every week, everywhere in the world" – Sepp Blatter tells concerned Europeans where to stick their criticism of the reality of hosting the 2022 World Cup in Steaming Hot Qatar. 16 May 2014: "Of course, it was a mistake. You know, one makes a lot of mistakes in life. The technical report indicated clearly that it was too hot in summer, but despite that the executive committee decided with quite a big majority that the tournament would be in Qatar" Rearrange the following into a well-known phrase or saying: "Blatter Sepp cvnt a complete is."
Steven Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Blatter must have a stiff neck looking the other way. It is my understanding that FIFA have some form of charitable status in Switzerland. It is about time the Swiss looked at this. Qatar World Cup: '$5m payments to officials' corruption claimhttp://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27652181

I'm long past being cross about this situation now, but there is absolutely no excuse not to at least re-stage the bidding process. Even FIFA can't wriggle its way out of it this time. Absolutely no chance the 2022 World Cup will be staged in Qatar.
ramboacdc Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 my twitter exploded with this last night when it all started coming out. Everyone saying they want a revote on a new place for the world cup. we all know they wont. Blatter has made his bed and will have to lie in it now by putting the world cup in a country that is not suitable for it with a worrying track record. if i remember right australia bid for the 2022 world cup and i think japan did on their own. both more suitable in my eyes. at least football is also more prolific in them countries.
Vacamion Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Blatter's position is untenable now. As such, he''ll probably stay on for another 5 years.
act smiley Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Blatter? Come on, it's more like a good 15 or so of the ExCo, minimum (with the rest being not at all bothered by turning a blind eye). If Blatter goes, his replacement is likely to be Platini, who voted for... Qatar. Whose country's prominent football club is owned by... Qatar. Whose son works for... Qatar.
MooseBreath Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Need the media across all nations slamming the pressure on now to get a re-vote and hopefully, finally, twatters resignation.
Finnaldo Posted 1 June 2014 Posted 1 June 2014 Need the media across all nations slamming the pressure on now to get a re-vote and hopefully, finally, twatters resignation. Blatter excels in being outstandingly ignorant. I doubt he'll even consider it, he'll probably laugh it off.
Kitchandro Posted 2 June 2014 Author Posted 2 June 2014 Sepp Blatter: Uefa tells members it opposes new presidency bidUefa has made it clear to its member nations that it does not support Sepp Blatter's intention to seek a fifth term as president of Fifa. The BBC has learned that Uefa does not want them to take part in any standing ovation for Blatter at Fifa's annual congress if he announces that he will stand for re-election. The 78-year-old Swiss has held the post since first being elected in 1998. Blatter had recently hinted he could look to stay in the post from 2015. t of media player. Press enter to return or tab to continue. If Blatter did seek a fifth term of office, it would appear to break a promise he made to Uefa's congress in 2011 that this would be his last period as the head of Fifa. Fifa's decision to hand the 2022 World Cup to Qatar is being investigated amid fresh claims of corruption over how the gulf state won the vote in December 2010. It is thought Blatter will address Fifa's annual congress in Sao Paulo next week and will make it clear he is willing to take on another four-year mandate - but only if it is the will of the governing body's member associations. Up to four football confederation heads may then address the congress and state their support for his candidacy, prompting Blatter to then accept their invitation. It is understood that European football's governing body does not want representatives from each of its 54 member nations attending the congress - which will include Football Association chairman Greg Dyke - to join in with any acclaim for Blatter if, as expected, his candidacy his announced. Michel Platini, Uefa's president, is thought to be undecided over whether he wants to seek the Fifa presidency in next year's election, with many observers expecting that he will decide not to run. Wolfgang Niersbach (left), pictured with Uefa president Michel Platini, could be one of two possible Uefa candidates to oppose Sepp Blatter Given his position, and Uefa's determination to oppose Blatter in the ballot, alternate candidates have been sounded out in case Platini decides not to proceed. BBC Sport also understands that the Dutch FA president Michael van Praag and the German FA president Wolfgang Niersbach are under consideration by Uefa as potential candidates to stand against Blatter in the Fifa presidential election, which will take place next year. While no formal approach has been made to either man, both Van Praag and Niersbach are believed to fit the profile that Uefa is looking for in potential candidates. Uefa do not expect Van Praag - who was re-elected head of the Dutch FA last December - or Niersbach - a 62-year-old former sports journalist - to defeat Blatter. But the hope is that the presence of one of the men on the ballot paper will send a strong message over their dissatisfaction with Blatter's candidacy and Fifa's overall direction. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27671654 The end is nigh for Blatter. UEFA have picked a great time to distance themselves from him. It's tactical politics all the way.
Dan Posted 2 June 2014 Posted 2 June 2014 Wouldn't it save so much pointless debate if someone just bombed both FIFA and UEFA headquarters. Imagine how funny that would be.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Even if he resigns we'll end up with another complete bollock anyway. FIFA and every regional governing body west of Moscow is corrupt as fck.

The Doctor Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 I'd say east of Moscow too Don't forget south of Moscow too. Oh, and in Moscow as well... Anyway, I doubt the corruption allegations are true. Wouldn't take 4 years to find them in such an obvious farce - more likely they realise they've ****ed up and are looking for a few scapegoats and a do-over.

Rincewind Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Not read all the thread but I saw a headline the other day (Star I think0 that the world Cup had been given to England in 2019 but not heard any mention of it anywhere else. I thought at the time it was a mistake and was doubtful they could stage the event. They do have some of the richest peop;e in the world though so that might have been an influence with the judges. Seems a bit of a clock up. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/world-cup-2014/381764/England-in-line-to-HOST-World-Cup-in-2018
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I'm torn, on the one hand Blatter is the epitome of corrupt but on the other hand I kind of was looking forward to the regular sight of players vomiting everywhere because of excessive heat. lol
davieG Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27751265 Qatar 2022: Fifa sponsor demands 'appropriate investigation'
MC Prussian Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 So, we're all racists now? Qatar 2022: Sepp Blatter says corruption claims are racist Fifa president Sepp Blatter claims allegations surrounding the Qatar 2022 World Cup bid are motivated by racism. Qatar was chosen as host in December 2010 but corruption claims have prompted Fifa to begin an inquiry. "There is a sort of storm against Fifa relating to the Qatar World Cup," Blatter said. "Sadly there's a great deal of discrimination and racism." Fifa will rule on the validity of the bidding for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in September or October. At that point, the president of football's world governing body said, the "matter will be closed". Speaking to African football officials in Sao Paulo, Blatter confirmed that the latest allegations would be discussed at the Fifa Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday. He said Fifa needed to combat "anything that smacks of discrimination and racism". "It really makes me sad," he added. At its general assembly in Sao Paulo, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) condemned what it termed "the repeated, deliberately hateful, defamatory and degrading attacks by some media, notably British, on the image and the integrity of the Confederation of African Football, its president, its members, its member associations and the entire African continent." Caf added that it would urge the executive committee "to file a law suit, if necessary, so that the authors of this smearing and defamatory campaign against African football leaders are brought to book". Qatar overcame competition from Australia, Japan, South Korea and the United States to be named as 2022 hosts. But the bidding process has been hit by a series of corruption claims. American lawyer Michael Garcia is currently involved in an independent investigation into the bidding process and is due to deliver his report to Fifa in mid-July. Blatter, 78, told delegates from the Asian Football Conference that Garcia would also speak at Fifa's congress to update delegates on his inquiry. Garcia is investigating everyone connected with the bidding process for both the 2018 World Cup, to be staged in Russia, and the 2022 event. Qatar's World Cup organising committee continues to reject claims of wrongdoing and says it is confident the vote was won fairly. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27762435
Guest Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 So, we're all racists now? http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27762435 Looks like he's determined to make as much of a twat of himself as possible in his remaining time in power.
Beliall Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 I enjoyed that. Ill have to keep an eye out for his show... is ot on a uk channel?
