crisp monster Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Don't post on here very often but felt I had to put something on here for him. Last Sunday evening aged 39, Neil had a tripple stroke and has since been fighting for his life in Bedford south wing hospital. He hasn't regained consciousness and his brain is showing no signs at all and a decision will probably be made on Monday. I first met Neil in a pub in Bedford after we'd beat millwall 4-2 a few seasons back - we got chatting and decided to get season tickets and share travelling expenses. Even though I did, Neil never got too down after a defeat and whilst I was swearing and blaming someone for our performance's, he just laughed, lit a fag and just said 'well that was a load of shit 'and carried on laughing. Me and my kids went to today's game and I'm so glad they put in such a good performance - he would have loved it! God bless ya big man - it's been a pleasure Leicester till we die
The whole world smiles Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Never met you or Neil but got goose bumps reading that. It's funny city will never be man united or Liverpool but its who our dads took us to as kids and its who we are. I've been in the same boat as you once before where I have had some kind of family tragedy and really needed city to win for me. It didn't happen for me (they were shite at home to birmingham ) glad it happened for you hopefully a good omen all the best for your mate.
