Kyle_Le_Don Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Put it this way, I'd rather have a David Nugent with us than playing for the opposition!
cjslcfc Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Fair enough he's scored a pen. BUT even Nigel says it's criminal how many chances we missed upfront. Not just him though. Vardy, Dyer, Knocky all sounded like they had good chances as well
svensson Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Fair enough he's scored a pen. BUT even Nigel says it's criminal how many chances we missed upfront. Did we win? Did nuge score and set one up? Massively clutching at straws. Think its about time to retire to your cave.
Bert Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Fair enough he's scored a pen. BUT even Nigel says it's criminal how many chances we missed upfront.Nuge had two shots tonight. One saved, one scored. Your vendetta against him is embarrassing! When he went off we lost all momentum and shape going forward tonight. No coincidence whatsoever.

When he went off we lost all momentum and shape going forward tonight. No coincidence whatsoever. So not the fact we conceded a questionable penalty and then all the momentum shifted to them for the last 10 minutes? He was nowhere near as good as you proclaim him to be. I don't have a vendetta against him if anything it's you who needs to get your tongue out of his arse on twitter pal.

Don't tweet him actually, but nice try and I am not your "pal". He was much better than you're making out. Who set Dyer's goal up? Nuge. Who scored the winner? Nuge.

Ginger, stop being such a daft cvnt. We are Leicester City. A Championship team. Our strikers will never be the Van Persies or Girouds of this world(for the foreseeable future at least, you never know...). So although there are areas where Nuge could stand to improve, you should be tripping over your jaw about his 100% penalty record this year with 6 goals and 3 assists in 10 league matches, not focusing stubbornly on the negatives and implying that one of the most in-form players in our league(let alone team) is rubbish and barely worthy of the bench.
Jace Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Cracking penalty tonight yet again Nugent for England we could win the World Cup with him in shoot outs next year
GingerrrFox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Yeah when Nugent wasn't on the pitch.... Don't tweet him actually, but nice try and I am not your "pal". He was much better than you're making out. Who set Dyer's goal up? Nuge. Who scored the winner? Nuge. Oh apologies for the use of the word pal. Shall I use **** instead? I didn't say anything about his performance ****. I said fair enough he scored another pen but the strike force and Dyer wasted far too many opportunities and in turn what should have been a comfortable win turned into a fought out 3 points in the end. You made it seem like the turning point was him coming off and we automatically struggled when he came off when it wasn't like that at all, all the pressure came as a result of a questionable penalty from Moore.

Did you read this before you posted or are you drunk? What has the last 10 got to do with Nuge?
Corky Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 He's in the sort of form that, if he was playing elsewhere, we'd all be loving it and desperate to sign up. Could you imagine the reaction on here if Beckford had that record? Pearson would be lynched for letting him go.
GingerrrFox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Did you read this before you posted or are you drunk? What has the last 10 got to do with Nuge? It doesn't have anything to do with Nuge. All I said was we wasted far too many chances and what could have been a comfortable win ended up being hard fought. I didn't say anything about his individual performance. Then **** aka Bert declared I have a vendetta against Nugent which is about as truthful as him saying he doesn't arse lick players on twitter.
Aus Fox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 To be fair to Ginge if you take out Nuges goals scored with his right foot, left foot or head and don't look at his assists or work rate, what are you left with, nothing but someone who smiles at the opposition.

For sure. And i said we lost all momentum and shape going forward. Not all over.
svensson Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Come on Ginge, admit it , you were wrong. Come join in with the rest of us loving Nuge, its far more fun and you may even learn a thing or two....
Carl the Llama Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 It doesn't have anything to do with Nuge. You're going on as though he's a bloke who can't get his own house in order both at home and on the pitch. It's frankly embarrassing how wrong you are. You clearly realise it too, or you wouldn't be trying to retroactively change the point you're making.
hackneyfox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 I'm pretty sure that Nugent isn't happy with the lack of goals he's scored from open play, he and Vardy have been given a role of defending from the front which doesn't help, but it works, we're winning games.

Where have you got that from? Listen to the interview after saturdays game. The guy couldn't careless about "open play". When did fans start caring either?

Nope he was absolute shite against Blackpool and apart from Middlesborough he has been mediocre most of the season and his all round performances haven't been as good as Jamie Vardy. However I don't appreciate **** as he prefers to be called by me saying I have a vendetta against him when in actual fact I remember how good he was up until January last season and would like to see that David Nugent back in a Leicester shirt.
hackneyfox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Where have you got that from? Listen to the interview after saturdays game. The guy couldn't careless about "open play". When did fans start caring either? Well I don't believe everything players say on the radio, they're hardly likely to admit to being worried on the radio, they've been trained not to. The positivity of OS interviews shows how scripted it all is. I don't care how he scores if he gets goals at the rate he is at the moment but clearly we're not going to continue getting penalties at the rate we are. He's part of a wining team so he stays as one of the first on the sheet for me. He will score more goals from open play, we all know he's capable of it.
Winnershfox Posted 1 October 2013 Posted 1 October 2013 Have always rated David Nugent. Remember him coming to the walkers with Preston in 2004 -2005 season and murdering our back four. Remember his England debut and put in a good performance. Was good at Portsmouth in an average team. Was good at Burnley in a poor team. Has been first class for us, in fact i would say one of the best strikers we have seen here in years. How on earth anybody can come on here and critisise the guy is beyond me. He always puts in a good shift and is dedicted to the cause. Love him. Ddd David Nugent.!!!!

He quite clearly wanted to make a point to the idiots who bang on about open play this and open play that. what is to say the penalties will dry up? No one associated with the club could have predicted how many we would have got, let alone how well Nuge is taking them.
