The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 In The Sun this morning he says he wants a new contract at the end of the season and wants it with leicester. Great stuff let's hope that he still wants it if we stay in this division
Ryanw21 Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 ginger fox must not have small kids! Just cos we go work does mean your not a parent when u get home. Also once you do have kids you will realise that looking after them day or night is the best feeling in the world ! Exactly which is why even if she offered I don't think Nugent would want her to do all the night feeds etc, its all part or parenting and that would come first over football and rightly so
Ryanw21 Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Some of you are so dumb. No lateral thinking is possible with some of you, clearly lacking brain power. Says the person that thinks Nugent should not be parenting pre football nights...
foxfanazer Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 10 of which will be penalties... Gallagher can do that.so what if they are penalties. He will probably also set up or be heavily involved in another 15-20 goals a seaaon
tomtom Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Still our best striker, bar none. The goal today was a typical Nugent finish... Struck hard and low, across the keeper, into the corner. And he worked hard again. I wouldn't even entertain splitting up the front two at the moment. It would be madness. Couldn't put it any better! .... The guys movement and link play is first class and he's the most natural finisher at the club I moved seats for the Blackburn game to sit with my old boy in the west stand and I could hear everything that was being said on the pitch (well the atmosphere was pretty poor! ) and Nugent was constantly talking to Vardy giving him advice and encougement etc. ... he's a fantastic influence on the pitch as well as being a good player!
Ric Flair Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Nugent will now score 5-6 goals in the next 7 or 8 games. This is what he does, enjoy it.
ronnup Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Nugent will now score 5-6 goals in the next 7 or 8 games. This is what he does, enjoy it. Love it. And actually agree.
hackneyfox Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Only on FT could we be within a solitary result of the top of the table but still be picking fault with one of the best players at the club. There's nothing wrong with people pointing out where the team or an individual can improve even if we were 10 points clear. The lack of goals from the strikers could be th reason why we are third on goal difference rather than second.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Father Ted's stats re. Nugent can't be argued with. Let's all be honest.. In recent times, Nugent's goal return is not brilliant. But just watch him.... His movement off the ball remains great and he's the type of player who could easily now go on a scoring run for the next few games. I remain adamant that Nugent is a player I'd rather have in my team, than someone I'm playing against.

The lack of goals from the strikers could be th reason why we are third on goal difference rather than second. Then why not slate ( as you are with nugent) the back four and kasper for conceeding goals?
KFS Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 David Nugent is imperative to this team- he's hard working and scares defenders in this league. He's been there and done it, and if he signs a new contract I'd be delighted. We never get players like Nuge to play for us, so can we not upset his family members by saying outlandish comments about his home life? Especially when we're hitting the dizzy heights of the league.
indierich06 Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 10 of which will be penalties... Gallagher can do that. How many were penalties last season? How many were penalties the season before? He's got 16 goals for the past two seasons - not amazing, but not terrible either. I've seen nothing to suggest that he won't achieve a similar return this season.

hackneyfox Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Then why not slate ( as you are with nugent) the back four and kasper for conceeding goals? I'm not slating Nugent, I just pointed out that there is nothing wrong with pointing out shortfalls however well your team are doing.
Bert Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Some people genuinely baffle me. We've got a player that has been our top scorer for the last two seasons, could well do so again this season, works hard for the team, has openly said he loves it here, and actually wants to play for us yet that's just not good enough? What more do people want? Great asset to the squad, there's a reason that even when he went through a dry patch he was playing. Class player.

foxfanazer Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 One of the most important players in the team whether he's scoring or not, which he is!
Kitchandro Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Why are you including last season? Why not go back 3 seasons? Because going back to last season highlights how long he's been off form. He's a good player but people need to be balanced about it.
foxfanazer Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Because going back to last season highlights how long he's been off form. He's a good player but people need to be balanced about it. Why is he off form? Pretty much always looks class to me
Kitchandro Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Why is he off form? Pretty much always looks class to me Because as mentioned he's scored 3 in 29 from open play. Really? You're not watching the same player as me then. If he was good on Saturday good on him but he hasn't been since January before then.
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Work rate is second too none. Palace fans didnt mind Murray scoring 9 or so penalties to help them get promoted. Also it means the midfielders put that bit more effort in. If they see the ball just isnt going in for the strikers. . Top post by Bert. Dyer looks like hes gonna score nearly every game he plays now. King, drinkwaters scored a couple. Dear me. Good post btw Bert

If he was good on Saturday good on him but he hasn't been since January before then. I disagree mate but I do agree he needs to bury more of his good chances. Still think his overall play amd workrate are very good personallyAlso disregarding his penalties is a load of rubbish, not aimed at you
ousefox Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Criticised him last week for not scoring in open play for so long, so put money on a hatrick on saturday. Close!

Not only that, 3rd on the leauge, beating teams that try and spoil/knock us about and the stiffs put the sheep out of the leauge cup. Not a bad start to the season yet all we hear is, yea but
