Taxi for Hollowman.

Holloway's spent a lot of money for Palace this transfer window (£18-20m plus signing on fees).  If you're the Palace chairman, you sit there watching defeat against Fulham and see only 7 of the 16 Summer signings in the matchday squad.  A large part of you must wonder why you've spent so much money on players such as Guedioura, Bannan, Hunt, Kebe, Dobbie who either don't make the squad or at best only make the bench.  It's all the signs of a clueless manager, buying players who do not improve the team.

Apparently won only 7 of his last 33 league games.

Seemed to have no plan when recruiting players and went with the "small club" line far too early.

Seems like he went off his own back, whatever happened Palace are still a lost cause unless a true miracle worker is appointed.

Didn't he go to Palace to be closer to his daughters or something family related? I can't imagine Middlesborough would be too appealing geographically unless his circumstances have changed since.

3 of his children are deaf, I think they go to a specialist school somewhere around London / south east.

Two of them have long left the school and one of them married last summer. The youngest are doing her A-levels I think. So the location may be irrelevant now.

Surprised no-one's claimed he's the worst manager in our history yet.

Far from it, he needed sacking but he was no where near the worst manager in our history, at all.

I suppose you could argue he was our manager when we were relegated to the lowest position in our history, but if you blame to solely on him you really have forgot what went on that season, MM has a big share of the blame to take, i'd say the majority.

Well we can't say Mandaric was the worst manager in our history, can we?

Worley making his debut at CM in arguably one of the most crucial games in the club's history summed the clueless gimp up. Him and Taylor were both categorically as shit as each other.

Worley was our best player that day.

He shouldn't have been there in the first place though, should he?

This. ****inghell look at him now, and he was playing central midfield for one of our most important games over the last few seasons.

Who cares if he was the worst or not?

He was shit with us, and painstakingly negative shit with it. Took over in 17th and left in Division 3.

Yeah, others were to blame too but he had enough time and resources to avoid finishing below 21st (which was the only task he had). He's done well for himself since but was just appalling at Leicester.

Was not entirely his fault but I'll never be able to forgive him for taking us into the 3rd tier of English football for the first time in our history.

As as person I have the utmost respect for his honesty and he is certainly a character who brightens up the game.

I wish him well for the future but he should never ever be considered for a return to LCFC.

He played Harry Worley in midfield in one of the most crucial games in our history.

Him and Mandaric should have been in the town centre the next day in stocks being pelted by passers by with rotten tomatoes.

Promotion has actually cost him his job.

This is without a doubt, the worst reign I have ever seen from a manager at a club that included promotion. Most undeserved promotion I've seen (and that isn't down to bitterness).

The bloke's a clown. Good motivator but other than that, questions need asking.

They limped into the playoffs barely, squeaked their way up and were well under-equipped to make a serious fist of avoiding relegation.

If he did turn up at Middlesboro though after claiming that he needed some time to reflect and reinvigorate then that wouldnt reflect well on him.

The size of the Dwight Gayle fee was an eyebrow raiser id have to say. And Holloway did an extremely poor job of reinvesting the Zaha money.

Last season most managers would have got Palace up as a result of Freedman's groundwork (I'll never understand why he left them).

I can't see Hollowhead being out of a job long, which is a shame, because I'd like to see him disappear from football.

Got promotion (just) on the back of someone else's squad... gets his own together and is relegation fodder...

great manager...
