cambridgefox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 The first episode of An Idiot Abroad in China is TV gold.Brazil on the nudist beach.First thing in the morning and the ice cream seller has his " knob and bollocks out" and he had never seen anyone bend over so much!Thought 2 women had been planted on the beach to stop people getting aroused and that Christ the redeemer looked like Jimmy Hill!
Mack Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 1 of the most unfunny people on TV. I agree. Completely pointless.
foxfanazer Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Love his character in Derek also. Its pretty much just him
21st Century Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 One of the funniest people ever. The xfm shows and podcasts are hilarious. Legend. The XFM shows surpass anything else he's done. It had pure, raw, unadulterated, stupidity, moaning and whining. The one where he tells the story about meeting the woman who can read minds, so he thinKs about dog things to confuse her into thinking she's reading her dogs mind is possibly one of the most mentally amazing things I've ever heard.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 "They put a manhole cover on the nuclear bomb. Blew it up... Never saw the manhole cover again." That was one of the funniest XFM shows for me. Also the couple of times Karl actually laughs are gold - - when they suggest lifting Karl with balloons, but it might pull his trousers down - when Smerch declares him the winner of an argument against Ricky regarding lighthouses switching off during daylight - making the coffee-machine noise during An Idiot Abroad promo, causing Ricky to scream with laughter so hard it causes Karl to laugh If anyone can think of any others Let's not forget "Do We Need 'em", the greatest idea for a show ever. That or Fifteen Taiwan.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 I agree. Completely pointless. 1 of the most unfunny people on TV. Boooooo! We will have no negative comments regarding Karl Pilkington in the "appreciation" thread.

Can't remember exactly but its something like 1. Before a rainbow there has to be rain 2. Nothing is worth more than today 3. Cat food (at which point Ricky explodes with lauhhter) stinks a bit but if you love the kitten you have to.put up with the smell Also can't beat a bit of Rockbusters Wetknee Houston Detrout spinners
cambridgefox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 ( on fun sized chocolate )" I don't know why they call them fun sized,if I called a midget fun sized they'd kick off"
21st Century Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 “I woke up the other night, quite late, and I said to me girlfriend, I said, ‘How do you put a snake down?’†“The Tudors? I don't even know if I had a family back then.†“I went down to Kelloggs, saw me sisters boyfriend there at the time, he sorted me out with some variety packs.†“The fact that it was three different people hassling him about a fire that didn't happen, about a wife that didn't exist and a cat that didn't look happy.†“When you're a kid, I remember really loving going to bed. There was one time where I actually laughed myself to sleep, 'cause I couldn't believe me luck.†“If it's all about arse, why don't gays like a little bit of tit?â€
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 The cat didn't look happy, I piss myself at that bit every time That's Rickydiculous "I know you're just 16, but looking all of 21, that's because Chiiiii-neeeese look older!"

absolutelegend Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 I can't take him seriously; his grumpiness just seems totally put on for the cameras to me.
kingfox Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Was watching Moaning Of Life earlier, the death episode the only episode I missed. Here he is, with his Twix Coffin.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 I really hope he carries on doing travel programs - I was worried the Moaning of Life wouldn't be entertaining without Gervais' involvement but even when it's not particularly funny it's just great watching someone become more and more open-minded Regarding the death episode of Moaning of Life - was anyone else a bit freaked out when they were posing and making up Comfort's corpse?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 "They put a manhole cover on the nuclear bomb. Blew it up... Never saw the manhole cover again." That was one of the funniest XFM shows for me. That or Fifteen Taiwan. one of the funniest ones is the one where Steve has a sore throat and it's just Karl going HAM for about an hour
foxfanazer Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I can't take him seriously; his grumpiness just seems totally put on for the cameras to me.Listen to him on XFM with Gervais and Merchant. It's really not put on
whoareyaaa Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 can't wait for this, been waiting for some new footage of Pilko, has me in stitches every time.
purpleronnie Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Listen to him on XFM with Gervais and Merchant. It's really not put on He is grumpy but anyone who thinks he's not playing up for the camera is deluding themselves.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Yeah he definitely does now, the show is far too contrived for me. Same with the podcasts, the radio show is gold though he's so much better when it's natural and free flowing
MC Prussian Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Imagine Immanuel Kant and Lloyd Christmas having a baby. Like Twins with Schwarzenegger and DeVito, but less... muscular.
RonnieTodger Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 It's good to watch but I agree that the podcasts and XFM show are so much better.
