AKCJ Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Can't believe the turnaround to be honest. Looks a different player. I think he's a bit stronger this season, looks like he's been on the weights in preseason.
DennisNedry Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 He's been excellent the last half a dozen games. Long may it continue because he went off form dramatically last season.
Danno Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Class player. You can tell he's worked with Paul Scholes, his passing range is fantastic. Especially that curling one with the outside of his foot to put Vardy through against Wigan.
Fox92 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 I said during the summer that he has the ability to dominate games. We saw that last season, I remember Sheffield Wednesday away, for example, he was class that day... He was excellent today, dominated midfield. He was everywhere, a couple of times he read the play and stuck his foot in to get the ball out. Fantastic.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Can't remember a time since the O'Neill days where we've had such strength in depth in central midfield. King, James, Hammond, and Drinkwater all offer something different too. Fantastic.
Kitchandro Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Great game again. MOTM. He's becoming consistent. Very pleased.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Wow he has been a revelation this season, superb player
sdb Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Class player. You can tell he's worked with Paul Scholes, his passing range is fantastic. Especially that curling one with the outside of his foot to put Vardy through against Wigan. Parts of his game and movement do remind me of Scholes. I've held off mentioning the comparison personally though! Maybe when he starts adding goals to his game... But his spatial awareness and passing is looking class atm.
StanSP Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 All 4 central midfielders are looking seriously strong now. Drinkwater top of the pack but all 3 others are deputising well. Fantastic stuff.
kingfox Posted 2 November 2013 Author Posted 2 November 2013 A lot slated him in the second half of last season, including myself, still think he deserved to be slagged off back then, because he was pretty crap. However he was excellent in the first half of last season, and he's turned the right corner again, I just hope he can stay on the right path, and keep it up.
GingerrrFox Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 I've always said he was our version of Paul Scholes. Watching him reminds of how Scholesy bossed the midfield for United albeit it not on quite such a high level. Top draw so far this season.
wattolcfc Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Won everything today. It's no coincidence that when we play well, he's the man that makes things tick. Towards the back end of last season, when we were losing games, he was awful and at the start of last season when we were doing well, he was playing well. Just hope he doesn't slack towards the back end of this year, but he looks a star at the moment. Well done Danny.
foxfanazer Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Our best player this season imo. Just class, domimates the midfield and is so consistent
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Unbelievable set of 2 faced fans!!!! How many of you wanted him out the side? Now look at you. I've stuck by him the whole time as you don't lose your ability overnight as some fans think. My god, we have a fickle lot

dmayne7 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 He's one of the players who has benefitted most from the stronger mentality. His decision making has improved massively and thats no coincidence playing alongside the best cm in the league. Really hope he can keep it going!
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 No but its two faced that a lot wanted him out the side yet the same fans now acknowledge he's quality.... Yes he's in form currently but the abuse he's had on here has been embarrassing
Babylon Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 It's not two faced to acknowledge he's playing much better than he was. Indeed, it's just a shame so many are quick to forget the good when things go wrong for a while. A young player was very good for us the first half of last year and people were happy to chuck him our because he hit poor form.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Pretty decent isn't he Some custard with that humble pie KF?
