61%. I only ate at Grimsby once after being told it's the best chippy in the world... I don't know if they were having a bad day but it was the most average chips I can remember having

Very average. Fish was sometimes nice but chips were always poor in my visits.

Unfortunately another one of those places that had masses of uncultured people who know little about food eating there and telling everyone how nice it was when it wasn't.

Bit similar to now when you get people telling you you can get a decent breakfast or steak in a weatherpoons.

It used to be very good but then it got overly popular expanded and went downhill.

First time I've ever seen a person get on their high horse about a fish & chips shop. Good grief lol

When you have been to a really good chip shop you will.

Birstall Fisheries are the best fish chips I've ever had.

I think Rothley is the best around here, best I've done is this one in Market Deeping though, was a proper restaurant and was absolutely stunning, I could have exploded had I forced myself to it was so nice.

Haven't been for years but it was good. I've been told Rothley is good but the only time I went there it was shut.

Motto must have just been in and eaten all their stock.

Having lived in Birstall for 4 years, I have two local options:

- Baine's (nice chips but very questionable hygiene)

- Birstall Fisheries (nice service, chewy chips)

Have you been recently? Or am I going on the wrong days!

Rothley is good. I also used to love Sileby Fish Bar, although occasionally thoroughly undercooked

Fairly recently, last time was over the summer, you do occasionally get chewy chips, but that normally happens when they are busy and rushing them out, normally the chips are perfect nice and crispy and not too greasy and the fish is always good.

74%.

Should have been questions about knowing Gary Lineker' school, buying something from Lineker's market stall, having been to Lineker's bar in Tenerife, swimming in the cut (or in Abbey Park near the weir), knowing who "The Lions" are.

That might've given me 80%

There's still one on Church Gate and one on Humbo gate ain't there?

Brucciani's have two places in Leicester, Churchgate (one word) and Fox Lane, just off Humberstone gate. Their production premises are still near King Richard's bridge.
