Just tweeted the TWUNT told him to get his facts right before opening his stupid FOOKING fat mouth as we have had a superb season and fully deserve to be promoted and have the right to have 1 bad game he's a complete Knob Head !

I think we as city fans should bombard his twitter account with a decent reply to his idiotic comments his twitter account is @talkSPORTDrive let him know how we feel about his comments !!

I remember us winning promotion after the first Easter match in 1957.  The second Easter match was against Leyton Orient at home.  They clapped us onto the pitch and then beat us 4-1.  History repeats itself!

Watch the highlights again Col. No-one is seriously telling me they were properly prepared for that game. They looked half asleep.

Absolutely true. Liam Moore was either still pissed or very hungover. The worst game he has ever had in a Leicester shirt.

I do like the guy. I believe he has a great future and I know he is still young, but he ( with others ) was an absolute disgrace against Brighton.

Agreed.

It wasn't the only factor by any means, but I do not buy for one second we'd have been that comprehensively beaten if we'd been properly prepared. No-one is fooling me we'd have lost that game 1-4 if QPR had won at Bournemouth.

By properly prepared, do you mean had been drinking?

Does anyone actually KNOW whether last night's shambles could be attributed to a big celebratory piss up?

I assume they had a nice little drink but to suggest that they were in some way 'hungover' for last night's game is to suggest that Pearson didnt have his normal level of close control over setting us up as a professional unit.

I find this hard to believe.

What I saw was a side with too many changes, lacking much desire and work-rate and a Brighton side who took full advantage.

This whole 'pissed-up' thing sounds like another big assumption to me. Like Pearson 'not being able to handle big name players'.

I think we just got beat. End of.

I almost didn't wanna go on Tuesday because I anticipated this result & level of performance. I'm not surprised that a team as close knit as ours has been this year celebrated promotion together. It's not the first time and won't be the last that a footy team has done this, at whatever level. It doesn't make it right tho. Personally I feel they let themselves down & I'm more annoyed that the run of games without defeat was given over so easily. It was plain to see from the off that they had little energy, and chased nothing down. These are professional athletes who can't cope with abusing their bodies and still play at the required level. I'm certain that that is what they did, BUT I'm not bothered because they represent us fans better than any group we've had in years so I can't complain when they behave like us.

As for Durham, he's just a WUM, and I've stopped listening to drive because he annoys me.

Well I was there mate and I thought we did look very lacklustre but that Brighton were also very up for it.

If this is to be believed, what I'm saying is that I'm surprised. Pearson is the manager and usually has his players under close control.

Babs was shrewd actually. With the benefit of hindsight, it made sense to have a few shilling on Brighton. Why I didn't was because I didn't think Nige would let the players become overly exuberant. If this is to be believed, he did, which is surprising.

Blimey, as that was about 7000 years ago I have to ask, did we stay up the following season? :-)

I tried to tip everyone off!! http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/94041-promoted-any-new-reports-or-videos-etc/?p=2944902

I had them to win and another one on them winning 2 - 1... if we could defend set bloody pieces I might have won both!!!! :D

Were De Laet & Schlupp dropped from the squad because they had been partying too hard?

They've probably had more rest over the last couple of months than most of the squad, seems strange they weren't even on the bench.

That, as well as mentality. I am not convinced in the slightest they looked up for that game. It's a shame as it bucks what's been a proud trend for us this season.

Oh don't get me wrong, Brighton were very good and I'd say the best two displays against us this season in the league came from Brighton. I thought 1-4 was a bit flattering but having watched the highlights I'm glad it was only 4. Non-league sides would've been ashamed of that defending.

I'm with you there as well. We've gone a bit downhill before the Brighton game so I thought they'd frustrate us to another draw, but not in the manner we produced. I'm amazed a Pearson side played like that.

I fancy us to win at Reading though. It's just a shame what was meant to be a night of celebration was just total utter shit.

Yes it is... and yes it was.

The 'celebrating' should have happened after the Brighton game. A night or two 'celebrating' followed by getting back to proper training again in preparation for Reading.

As I said, if they were in no fit shape for Brighton, I'm surprised and disappointed.

More a case of giving others a run out I would have thought, but who knows.

You've only got to watch the videos circulating on twitter from Saturday night :

Nugent - wasted

Knockaert - wasted

Moore- wasted

I don't have a problem with it to be honest, but if we're expecting them to be prepared for a game on a Tuesday having been out hammered until early hours of Sunday then we are stupid

None of us are 'stupid' over this. What was expected was to keep the celebrations to a reasonable amount such that we could remain professional and could put out a team capable of winning a football match.

If that's 'stupid' then you and I certainly had differing expectations.

I thought at pre kick off that it would be the best way of giving Miquel some game time from the bench, not having Jeff or Richie to choose from.

No no no- I was as annoyed as anyone at how lacklustre and under prepared we were on Tuesday. It was unprofessional. My point was we should have expected it seeing the pictures/videos from their weekend celebrations. No athlete can recover from that in a day or two. I doubt Pearson realised just how drunk some of them were.

I'm sure we will see a different level of performance on Monday. However, I think we've been 'off it' for quite a few games now.

Always listen to TalksportDrive on the way home and think as a double act they are good value.

You have to take what he says with a pinch of salt, Goughie knows his onions about football surprisingly, It's clearly all scripted but decent entertainment on the commute home

Really? I think he's clueless, and Matt Holland/ Alvin Martin would be a far better fit for Durham's stirring nonsense.

Adrian's a good pal of mine and he's a proper wind up merchant on Drivetime. His LCFC-baiting had me for about five seconds with his latest trolling and then I just shrugged my shoulders and got on with my life. Not worth getting wound up about.

Yes, we stayed up for a 1000 years (from 1957 to 1969).
