les-tah Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 never take someone seriously that is that ugly.
fuchsntf Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I never liked the mail, but its sports pages were always decent, with some top sports columnists, its a shame, because Adrian Durham just doesnt belong. Controversial points all well and good, but there is just no class or thought in his statements.Hes stayed a sort of daily star probi...no more.
Finnegan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Trolling coventry fan in being contrary about Leicester shocker.
Babylon Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Trolling coventry fan in being contrary about Leicester shocker. Peterborough isn't he?
Great Boos Up Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 When we went to 10 men Claudio gave touch line instructions to Vardy to stop chasing the ball when they had possession at the back (I saw it with my own eyes). He wanted him fresh and at his sharpest as a lone striker in case a decent through ball was played.
Koke Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Trolling coventry fan in being contrary about Leicester shocker. He's a Peterborough fan, but you're right in that he is a troll. He thinks that managers who get humiliated in one game (6-0, 8-2, 7-1 etc) should offer their resignation to the board.
Finnegan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Peterborough isn't he? Genuinely don't think I know the difference.
ronnup Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Makes a living from winding people up and then getting a reaction. Been doing it to top clubs and especially Arsenal for ages. Don't get sucked in. It's flattering if pricks like him are trying to goad us.
theessexfox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 He's gonna win the Golden Boot, of course he'll be there if fit.
Corky Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Peterborough isn't he? It's all the same lower league envy of the big club in their neighbourhood.
dedlock Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 When I saw this thread, I wondered " who on earth is Adrian Durham?" I am not really much enlightened to learn that he is a dimwit who works for the Daily Hate Mail .
Mike Oxlong Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Can't take a bloke who's a wannabe Sherminator seriously!
bridport007 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 To be fair, Durham has praised us to the hilt this season. He has always said we're a breath of fresh air and hopes we win the league. I see this more as a dig at Roy for being predictable and having no balls. If Vardy goes to the Euros he won't play as England play sideways at best.
Viva Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 He's gonna win the Golden Boot, of course he'll be there if fit. I don't think he's certain at all now. Not if Sturridge and Welbeck stay fit. He should go and I would definitely take him, but in Roy's eyes he certainly would be behind Rooney, Kane and Sturridge. Probably a toss up between his old favourite Welbeck and Vardy.
MC Prussian Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Durham is clearly fishing for compliments there... from Arsenal and Liverpool supporters. And Hodgson. He can't be serious if he's preferring a Welbeck or a Sturridge who have just come back from injury over an in-form striker on course for possibly 30 goals in a single Premier League season. Both scored, but more significantly both are fresh, and will still be fresh when the Euros come around. Vardy has pretty much been fresh all season. Oh, dear.
digitalalba Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Oh no, Adrian on the radio has said something we don't like, what are we going to do, quick, someone call the police...
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Let the haters hate This. . He's generally been very complimentary toward us this season. and anyone who winds up 'the gooners' as often as he does can't be all bad
Number 6 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Durham wakes up, finds out what the prevailing opinion is on the topic, says the opposite is true. And repeat.
Dan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Don't bite to Durham. The bloke makes a living out of talking absolute bollocks.
Izzy Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Don't bite to Durham. The bloke makes a living out of talking absolute bollocks. The sad thing is that sometimes I'm not even sure that he believes some of the shite he comes out with. He's paid to be controversial and wind people up so they phone in and contribute to his Programme. Underneath all the bollux he actually knows his stuff. If he worked for a credible broadcaster and didn't have to put on the act, I'd probably take him seriously and respect him a bit more.
Tuna Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Can't believe we have actually stooped to discussing this professional moron on here! He's a paid troll and is only in work because some people (usually moronic gooners) are actually stupid enough to fall for it..
Dan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 A fully fit Sturridge and Welbeck will be in Roy's considerations, the odds of all 5 striking options being fit is slim, Rooney has a decent injury record until it comes to an international tournament, Sturridge will be injured again before the season is out. The number of games Kane may end up playing for Spurs as their only striker could also result in injury, Welbeck has played 15 minutes of football after a long lay off, he has a long way to go to prove himself. Vardy like Kane could also end up on the treatment table running himself into the ground every game (despite what Durham says). From an unbiased England perspective it is great to have some credible options up front, lets not forget Walcott (sorry) and if I was being purely objective all parties fully fit, then Vardy misses out. England don't play to his strengths, if Hodgson played as a fast counter attacking team then Vardy would be first name on the plane, but he doesn't his team plays in way that stifles and limits everything that makes Vardy good. Slow, one dimensional, possession based and rigid. The question for me then - what does Vardy, or Drinkwater for that matter, actually have to do to get in Hodgson's squad? We seem to have accepted what our squad will be (even though we're not that great anyway) and Hodgson's given away that he has little desire of changing it. What sort of form does Vardy have to show to get into England's team? England will do nothing as usual. We never ever learn from our mistakes.

I don't believe I can disagree with someone as consistently as that and for them to be serious. He's a sure wind up merchant.
Captain... Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 The question for me then - what does Vardy, or Drinkwater for that matter, actually have to do to get in Hodgson's squad? We seem to have accepted what our squad will be (even though we're not that great anyway) and Hodgson's given away that he has little desire of changing it. What sort of form does Vardy have to show to get into England's team? England will do nothing as usual. We never ever learn from our mistakes. I think they have to prove they can play Hodgson's way, Vardy so far hasn't for England, Drinkwater hasn't had a chance, it does look like he will get his chance though. If you think of some of the most talented players, players like Le Tissier or Ibrahimovich or Berbatov who are brilliant but lazy and will not chase lost causes all day like Vardy, or fantastic goal scorers like Defoe, Yakubu or Austin who contribute little else other than goals. I wouldn't swap any of them for Vardy, not because Vardy is a better player, or a better goal scorer, but because he is better suited to our game. The fact that England's game is turgid, boring and painful to watch is one thing and hopefully something Hodgson looks to change to utilise the pace of our forwards, but if Hodgson has a way of playing and Vardy and Drinkwater can't adapt to play that way then there is no point picking them. The only way England will win anything is as a team and they need the players that fit that team, and not a CF stuck out on the left, or a man with Vardy's pace being used to hold the ball up and bring the attacking trio behind into play.
