Babylon Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3448845/Jamie-Vardy-s-Euro-2016-spot-doubt-Danny-Welbeck-Daniel-Sturridge-returning-Leicester-striker-didn-t-help-cause-against-Arsenal.html What a joke article. Fingers crossed, it means we get him back nice and fresh.
Jordan Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Instead, I witnessed a lone striker repeatedly throwing his arms in the air because he had no support as the ball went back to Arsenal time and time again, almost as if Vardy wasn't aware that his side were down to 10 men. It's almost as if Adrian Durham weren't aware that Vardy's side were down to 10 men.
Corky Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Complete bollocks. Vardy worked as hard as anyone and twice forced throw-ins deep into the Arsenal half through sheer pressure and allowed us to break from defending and get players up the pitch. It was a difficult role (one against four defenders) and he did the best he could.
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 'Seemed to give up'. Absolutely joke. He ran about 80 yards when Arsenal were passing it around the back towards the end of the game. Vardy should be first on the plane and he would if he played for Tottenham ****ing Hotspur.
WardyisPukka Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Fingers crossed, it means we get him back nice and fresh. True but some of the comments about his performance are pathetic. Thing is if (big IF) england are in the QF's and it goes to penalties i for one would like Vardy to take the first penalty.
Adster Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Why has it taken this long for people to notice that Adrian Durham is a prise bellend? He's been spouting shit on Talk Shite for years.
Captain... Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Durham is a cvnt we all know that don't give him any more publicity than he deserves.
lgfualol Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I know both Sturridge and Welbeck have a good track record for England, but if Welbeck ends up going to France instead of Vardy I'm going to hope England get wrecked in the Euros.
hlz Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I got shot for starting a thread about vardy the other day. It's true. He has definitely altered his game. He doesn't close down anywhere near as much as he used to and also tires a lot quicker. But that's due to not training half the season. You might call it a joke article but I can actually see where he is coming from a bit - sturridge when fit is on another level. But I just can't see welbeck starting that many games with Giroud around. Welbeck won't be going

Welbeck won't be going he ran at Cech full pace to close him down albeit Cech dummied him but not many strikers bother to do that ! Would you not want vardy at least in the squad as an impact sub?
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I think Roy will take Rooney, Kane, Vardy, Sturridge and Wellbeck, with fewer midfielders. Vardy will only get a look in if we are struggling against a team with lots of possession and trying to counter attack our way back into a game. He might well not play at all, but I doubt Roy will be strong enough to leave him at home even though he is very unlikely to play him.
Babylon Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 True but some of the comments about his performance are pathetic. Thing is if (big IF) england are in the QF's and it goes to penalties i for one would like Vardy to take the first penalty. It's Adrian Durham, he's the football version of Katie Hopkins. He makes a living by spouting click bait for people to get angry about.
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 This is a joke, right? If Vardy doesn't go to Euro's and Welbeck, whose scored once, does it's a fvcking travesty, what part of that is diffucult to understand? It'd be further proof that **** managers like Roy Hodgeson continue to favour players at big clubs. If he doesn't go ahead of Welbeck I too hope England go out at the first stage of the Euro's. This is the Wellbeck who has 14 in 33 for England playing in the formation Roy plays, vs Vardy who has none and doesnt play in the formation Roy plays? Annoying as it is, Wellbeck makes more sense if he is fit.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I'm with lgfualol. If we are still picking the squad purely on their celebrity status and how many shirts their team sells, fvck them. I don't care if it's unpatriotic, England are never going to get anywhere if they keep choosing the same old shit. Vardy is the leading goalscorer in the PL and possibly the hardest working player in the league - if he loses his chance because some "celebrity" has decided they're no longer injured then fvck Hodgson and his whole setup
lgfualol Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 England are going to lose anyway with a dinosaur-owl as the manager, so I'd rather them lose with Vardy than lose after not picking Vardy because he doesn't play someone like Arsenal. We're hardly going to get to the final with James Milner, Phil Jones and Wazza as our players - miles behind other countries. This was in response to another user and his post has gone.
Brooksy Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Adrian Durham in anti Leicester article shocker
Koke Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Vardy is comfortably a better goal scorer than Welbeck. Welbeck has never been prolific. His record at United is pathetic. He does however offer something different and I'd take him to Euros based on that. Sturridge is a great striker but I don't trust his fitness. Walcott is a joke of a footballer. Vardy is a better finisher than Walcott, better understanding of the game, more intelligent, more tactically aware. Kane is also a better footballer than Walcott.
Adster Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Why has my post (quoted from Jon the Hat) been deleted?
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 when liverpool basically won the league we should've just played the liverpool team. now we're going to win the league we should play as much of our team as possible. but durham's right, vardy won't go. and if he does i doubt he'll play. the article is written bizarrely because his performance at arsenal was the same as always, ran himself into the ground, had one moment of quality (won and then scored a penalty) and nearly scored a second, too. but
Jon the Hat Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Why has my post (quoted from Jon the Hat) been deleted? Did you question my viewpoint?
Lesta Legend Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 It must mean he's possibly trying to be balanced but fails as he comes across as a bit of a bell in the article - listen to Drive Time everyday he usually bums Leicester and in all fairness was giving us the credit and praise where half the media just couldn't bring themselves to do.
Captain... Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 A fully fit Sturridge and Welbeck will be in Roy's considerations, the odds of all 5 striking options being fit is slim, Rooney has a decent injury record until it comes to an international tournament, Sturridge will be injured again before the season is out. The number of games Kane may end up playing for Spurs as their only striker could also result in injury, Welbeck has played 15 minutes of football after a long lay off, he has a long way to go to prove himself. Vardy like Kane could also end up on the treatment table running himself into the ground every game (despite what Durham says). From an unbiased England perspective it is great to have some credible options up front, lets not forget Walcott (sorry) and if I was being purely objective all parties fully fit, then Vardy misses out. England don't play to his strengths, if Hodgson played as a fast counter attacking team then Vardy would be first name on the plane, but he doesn't his team plays in way that stifles and limits everything that makes Vardy good. Slow, one dimensional, possession based and rigid.
Stevosevic Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I actually agree with him in terms of who Roy probably favours. I can see him going with Kane, Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Walcott if all are fit - which they currently are.
Darkon84 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 at people still actually getting annoyed by things Durham says.
Soar Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I hope he doesn't go to the Euro's. Nice long summer for him to relax and come back recharged for us next season Fvck England and fvck that clown they have in charge of them. Club over country for me.
