suffolk fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Won again today. Now up to fourth two points behind us. They are on a roll at the moment let's hope they derail soon. Mcclaren has them playing well.
Vardinhio Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Fairplay to them, it was a brave decision to sack Clough but they are on fire!
MGLCFC Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 They'll loose key players in Jan and as per normal will fall away.
Devonfox1884 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 We want them to go up with us, if we get to the prem, we're gunna want a derby aren't we?!
Johnny Cash Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Congratulations to them. We've beaten them twice this season. We're the team to beat in this league.
Happy Fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Wash your mouth out son!, sheepshaggers are f**king shit all they have played is shite teams lets see how they do when they play Us! Back to midtable mediocrity where they belong.
Brooksy Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Wash your mouth out son!, sheepshaggers are f**king shit all they have played is shite teams lets see how they do when they play Us! Back to midtable mediocrity where they belong. We lost to Sheffield Wednesday.
Banks Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 We lost to Sheffield Wednesday. And Charlton, and Doncaster... lol Wash your mouth out son!, sheepshaggers are f**king shit all they have played is shite teams lets see how they do when they play Us! Back to midtable mediocrity where they belong. They aren't that ****ing shit though, rate them far more than Forest. May have beaten them twice this season but they have a real chance of getting a play off spot.
Tom17LCFC Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Fans of the sides they've been playing recently have been saying they're not all that, so hopefully they'll soon fall away, can't stand 'em.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 hate the feckers, I hope this is just a lucky purple patch
DennisNedry Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Derby's 7 wins in a row have been against: Sheff Weds Bournemouth Wigan Middlesbrough Blackpool Charlton Doncaster Not any of the teams that are going to be pushing promotion this season imo, let's see how they fair against the top sides.
StanSP Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Derby's 7 wins in a row have been against: Sheff Weds Bournemouth Wigan Middlesbrough Blackpool Charlton Doncaster Not any of the teams that are going to be pushing promotion this season imo, let's see how they fair against the top sides. We lost against 3 of those sides. Regardless of pushing promotion or not, they've got points where we haven't. And it may be the case that we pick up points where they don't. But they have to be taken seriously, like Burnley.
Dan Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Derby's 7 wins in a row have been against: Sheff Weds Bournemouth Wigan Middlesbrough Blackpool Charlton Doncaster Not any of the teams that are going to be pushing promotion this season imo, let's see how they fair against the top sides. 3 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats against those sides from us. I must admit seeing it was 'only' those sides has made me slightly less fearful, but putting a run of 7 wins together shouldn't be sniffed at for one second. They've added themselves alongside us, Burnley and QPR.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 It doesn't matter who they beat in the run they've had. I have never seen us win more than five in a row winning that amount of games at this level is very impressive and no easy thing. I just don't care about any other teams results.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Of course no doubt we'll sneak into the top two before May, but I wouldn't mind seeing Derby joining us in the premier league.
Jimothy Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Won again today. Now up to fourth two points behind us. They are on a roll at the moment let's hope they derail soon. Mcclaren has them playing well. Hate to be a pedant, but they aren't up to 4th, they were 4th anyway. And seeing as we both won today, they must have been two points behind us at the start of play. Situation and positions are the same as they were this morning with regard to Leicester and Derby.

You can't discount it as a good run though. If the boot was on the other foot and we'd have won seven on the trot we'd be waxing lyrical about our squad regardless of where the opposition are in the table.

I have never seen us win more than five in a row winning that amount of games at this level is very impressive and no easy thing. I just don't care about any other teams results.not forgetting in the last 11 matches they have won 9 lost 1 and drew 1 ,scored 27 and let in 10.like them or loathe them that's fantastic form all round.
Tinman Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Will Hughes is worth £400 billion Not until he learns to use his right foot. :xmaswink:
surrifox Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 they are relying heavily on loans and hopefully these players will catch the eye of prem sides
Kitchandro Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 You can't really knock their run, its impressive no doubt. But I'm still not convinced they'll sustain a push for automatic promotion. They looked a dreadful side under Clough, I saw them against Forest just before he was sacked and they were terrible. Most of their players are quite average. Not that much could have changed in that time. People were panicking about Reading a few weeks ago, now no one is talking about them.
Guest Bilo Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 They're having an excellent run and dispatching the smaller sides with merciless ease at the moment, but I seem to remember Forest being on fire when 'King Billy' first returned to the City Ground as well. They have two away games now, against Huddersfield and Barnsley, so it's not inconceivable they'll add to that winning run either before facing us at the KP. I can see a wobble coming though, they looked average against us in both games and you can't shake the feeling they're flat track bullies given they've lost every time they've faced a play-off side. Ourselves, Forest, Reading, QPR and Burnley have all beaten them this season, and it's that kind of side you need to pick up points against to really make the difference.
StanSP Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 they are relying heavily on loans and hopefully these players will catch the eye of prem sides Are they?? They only have 4. Similar to what we have had in recent seasons so I don't think that can be used against them. If they were using loans on the scale of Watford last season, then you'd have a point.
Vardinhio Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 If they beat everyone outside of the playoffs home and away they'll be going up. Disposing of the "lesser" teams is just as important. 3 points is 3 points.
