kingfox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 We are on the SSN yellow ticker Now, we get to see what this guy is actually capable of, we needed a winger we've got one. But like I've said the past couple of days, I for one won't be getting excited just yet. But welcome Riyad, hopefully you turn out good
ollielcfc Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Sky are a bit behind, but this is from their live transfer blog online: "Leicester may have a batch of players out of contract at the end of the season, but a new arrival is imminent. Sky Sports sources understand Leicester have agreed a three-and-half year deal for Le Havre winger Riyad Mahrez. However, he won't be available for tonight's game with Derby, which is live on Sky Sports 1HD from 7.30pm." Seems done and dusted now, welcome Riyad!
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 The last player I remember playing for Le Harve was Florent Sinama Pongolle and he was sick so happy days.
Jobyfox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Is it significant that he's named after the capital of Saudi Arabia?
DanTheFox07 Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 possibly Mahrez and Phillips paraded before tonights game then? dont think phillips as he is still under contract till the end of the week, so we will be waiting for this to end
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 It's so irritating seeing people write Le Harve instead of the correct Le Havre. Auto spell-checker mistake? In any case, I wish Mahrez well at our club and that he can become as much of an enthusiastic and versatile and dangerous player at our club like Knockaert. The latter will have a few things to tell the new signing about English football and adapting your style of play accordingly.
Jace Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 I'm sure Chris Woods will give Le Havre some support and advice regarding dealing with supporters who spell their names wrong
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 I'm sure Chris Woods will give Le Havre some support and advice regarding dealing with supporters who spell their names wrong David Mutant concurs.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Now we can start welcoming the Lad Riyad mahrez, welcome to Leicester! This
LCFC FOX Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 We thought it was on We thought it was off now its back on again Just sign with that pen
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Just when I was thinking we ought to go to war with France again.
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 At this rate, the Leicester-Le Havre alliance baguettes will never sell out.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Just when I was thinking we ought to go to war with France again. I thought the countries were mainly allies during many of the conflicts in recent history? Or how far back in history do you want to go?
Finnegan Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 I thought the countries were mainly allies during many of the conflicts in recent history? Or how far back in history do you want to go? England and France are two of the oldest warring enemies in history.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 England and France are two of the oldest warring enemies in history. I know, that's why I said "recent history". Them bloody frog-eaters, nom de dieu!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 England and France are two of the oldest warring enemies in history. And now for the history lesson !!!
Steven Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 England and France are two of the oldest warring enemies in history. As someone with a Norman heritage, I despise every Anglo-Saxon cur even today.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 And now for the history lesson !!! Foxestalk - when history in class isn't history enough.
Lesta Legend Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 The last player I remember playing for Le Harve was Florent Sinama Pongolle and he was sick so happy days. Le Harve are famous for their youth system; Paul Pogba, Charles N'Zogbia and Lassana Diarra are amongst others the most recent players they have produced, it'll be interesting how he develops!
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 January 2014 Author Posted 10 January 2014 Back to the thread. Done deal. Welcome mahrez!! Let's hope you have a long and successful career!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 As we have been a part of France since 1066, we have only been fighting amongst oursleves
