Bert Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Who gives a hoot. Get behind the lads rather than worrying about another teams player.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I'm sure he'll get a few boos. I'm not really bothered by him tbh, he wasn't good enough and he left. Mills on the other hand showed a disgusting attitude while he was here, I'll always hate him. I hope he has a really embarrassing day. Please let him get sent off. Is he even good enough to start for them these days?

Soar Fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Whether you like him or not Wayne Brown was excellent in the 09/10 season. Just a shame about what happened so close to the 2 biggest games of the season. Regarding Beckford why bother wasting your time booing, as you know that would only fire him up to play better against us.
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Wayne Brown was an absolute prat for what he said and was right to be booted out - but I whole-heartedly disagree with anyone who says he was bad for us. He was a bit of a donkey as a footballer, extremely old-school, but you couldn't knock his defensive organisation.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 No, Wayne Brown wasn't good for us. He was dreadful mostly. No he wasn't? Leicester_Numan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I can forgive players a bit of ego and attitude if their performances warranted it, Beckford's and Mills's didn't. They were useless and we're much better off now they're gone. They're an irrelevance to us and I'll treat them as such by completely ignoring them.
foxfanazer Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Everyone I know that has met Beckford have said that he's a nice friendly guy. Just because he was garbage for us doesn't mean he has a bas attitude. Mills on the other hand seems a right bell end

foxfanazer Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 You can be a nice guy and have a crap attitude you know. What I'm asking is, is there any solid evidence that he had a bad attitude here? The only thing I remember is when he refused to go up for a corner once
theessexfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Is Danns actually back? Scored for them yesterday didn't he?
Guest ttfn Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 What I'm asking is, is there any solid evidence that he had a bad attitude here? The only thing I remember is when he refused to go up for a corner once The relentless moping around the pitch. The refusal to chase anything that wasn't going to lead to a direct shot on goal for him. Staring the fans down after a disgraceful performance at West Ham. Playing so poorly and giving so little effort that in eighteen months with the club he was replaced at half time or earlier SIX times. I think people are forgetting just how bad he was. I can't imagine there's another player in the football league who's been replaced as often at half time in their whole career, let alone 18 months.

Dickov22 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Wayne Brown was an awful footballer! Donkey, terrible in his distribution. We've got so much more quality about us these days in defence, he wouldn't get a sniff if he were playing here now.

I can't ever remember a player putting in less effort. Next close to him would probably be Collymore once O'Neill left. Although possibly he had depression by then so his lack of effort may be excusable. Beckford was terrible for us.

We've got so much more quality about us these days in defence, he wouldn't get a sniff if he were playing here now. Of course he wouldn't, but he had a job to do and did it well. It wasn't pretty but it was effective. He's not Morgan's quality, or Moore's level, but we couldn't afford any better back then and Brown fitted into the team for a while.
bovril Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I couldn't boo a guy who scored a hat-trick against Forest.
Lionator Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Beckford was crap here but bar the one overplayed incident at Peterborough, I don't think he ever let the side down because of his attitude. He's actually a very nice guy. Sometimes things just don't work out.
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Won't boo him unless he does something provocative ala savage, he's just an ex player who for whatever reason it never worked, he probably never really wanted to come in the first place, he was a last minute panic buy from Sven, hopefully we won't even notice him on Sunday.
RonnieTodger Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Of course he'll get booed, these are Leicester fans. The group that booed Gradel and called him a Leicester reject, despite not celebrating. I'm not bothered by him to be honest. A lot more is made out of him, with regards his attitude. I think Lionator has summed it up pretty well.
Guest Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I wouldn't boo him but it's a shame that his attitude was so bad here.
MC Prussian Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I don't think booing former players will help our cause. I can see it backfire, actually - with them playing their hearts out to prove all moaners and doubters wrong. Ignore both Beckford and Mills or even applaud them (reverse psychology - you know it works). In the end, it wasn't just them who let the team down at the time. The club management has to take part of the blame, too. After all, they were willing to pay such a hefty price tag for both of them.
Dickov22 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Beckford wouldn't be anymore motivated if we boo him. He doesn't give a toss. He probably won't start anyway. Freedman's worked out he's crap
Walshy5 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 0-2 defeat then. Beckford and mills. How much will i get on that? Might put it on.
