Leicester_lad_92 Posted 2 January 2014 Author Posted 2 January 2014 IF we get promoted I say we all buy a city track suit and some white reebok classics and wear them to the last match of the season as a tribute, who's in? Brilliant :: !!!!! I'm in mate!!
MPH Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Ignore Thracian, Pearson has done 'marvelously ' so far this season. If we replicate in the 2nd half of the season what we have done in the first half well have the highest ever points total in the championship. I don't imagine we'll do that but THAT is how well we have done so far! Is the job done though? Not by a long way and I think that's what he was getting at.. and thinking it is done would be incredibly dangerous. We have basically the same team and they would of been deeply affected by what happened last year.. With the young guys being a year older I think the experience will actually spur them on and push them over the line.
Corky Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Despite our run last year (in which I must admit my faith in him slowly started evaporating), I've never wanted him out. He's completely outdone my expectations this season so far and whilst I did think we were lacking mentally last year, I did always think we were only 2/3 players from being the league's best. We're not safe from a cock up yet but we've bounced back near enough every time so far. Only once have we gone on a run of more than a game without a win this season. I lost faith after Barnsley away in April, that performance was so bad that I felt he'd lost his touch and couldn't turn it around. Was very surprised when the owners stuck by him and we slowly started to improve and ended the season in a bit better shape before the play-offs. You can't knock him this season, winning games consistently, winning tight away games, improved the squad with sensible, experienced signings and outperforming QPR, Wigan, Bolton, Reading and Nottingham Forest currently. Just hope he can get us over the line.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Has anyone seen seenitall? It's nearly two weeks since his last post I'm starting to get worried.
cc_star Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Wanted him to stay, although the later stages of that run made it difficult But my overriding desire was for our club to try something completely different to what we'd done for the previous decade and actually keep the faith with a manager for the duration of their deal. This season we've reaped the rewards of that in so much as we're not going through yet another transitional season and for once are building on plus points of the previous season like Mackay was able to with Cardiff and McDermott previously with Reading. Rather than starting again... again... again.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Has anyone seen seenitall? It's nearly two weeks since his last post I'm starting to get worried. Don't worry, he will be here after our next defeat. Giving his usual nonsense...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Well if that's genuine then fair play. I'd suggest that the people that didn't have the faith that he could be successful had a stronger argument at certain points .... i didn't have the faith that he would be where he is now. However early this season he showed that he'd got a new facet to his character and had probably gone away over the summer and had some serious thinking time about how he'd change himself. This is the case. Pearson has vastly improved as a manager, apparently having learned from his previous mistakes, as all good managers do.Well done to him.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Maybe his agent doesn't band his name round like a tart. What kind of tart? Hope it's not a horrible custard one.

MC Prussian Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Don't reading have the record at 106 points? We wouldn't match that. We could, but it would take a major miracle to pull it all off. It's only 55 points from the remaining 22 games...
Molson Canadian Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Pearson's spot on. All this OTT self-congratulation with Stringer leading the way as if we're already promoted is so annoying. We're not looking marvellous by any means but we are collecting points and it's rather like scoring goals, points are points however they're accumulated. Yes, there are aspects to commend as well, but so many other things can be done better and such a long way to go before we can start getting cocky. Pearson's comment reflects that and I hope he's still focused on improving because we'll need to. Totally agree with you Thracian, we must continue to improve. Winning lots of games is great! I love the fact that we are top of the table, but in order to keep moving forward we must continue to remain focused and find ways to improve, and the way that Pearson highlights that is excellent.
cuddly ken Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 The reason Pearson doesn't get recognition from sides in the PL, is because they see Leicester top and it isn't a big surprise to them, it's almost expected. We all know what he has achieved bringing us from our lowest point in history to top of the Championship is magnificent. Thankfully others aren't seeing it. I'm sure if we get promoted and start to stabilise ourselves in the top flight he will get the recognition. At the end of the day I doubt he would go to a lower PL side, he is on good money here and will feel he could at least get us to be a stable side in the PL. We are a bigger club than some in the top flight . The simple reason is that people in the game know he's an average manager at best. We should of got rid after the play off disaster and brought in King Billy. Take today King Billy's team and tactical changes saw them thrash West Ham, whilst we get the run around by an awful Stoke side. Bottom line is Suedehead just hasn't got the ability to be able to change games and turn potential draws into wins and loses into draws. Like I say it's just my honest opinion.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 D- must troll harder. Is he trolling, or does he believe it. If he does, then he is merely giving an opinion, and not trolling. Extreme views, and not ones I agree with. I have been accused of trolling in the past, when expressing views I sincerely believed in. Is he trolling? I don't know.

Nope, you haven't got the hang of this trolling, you have to post this when we are in 3rd place or below and just come off the back of a draw or defeat in the Championship! You could learn a lot from Seenitall.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 ken's comment about Pearson not being able to turn draws into wins is factually incorrect. We have the most wins in the Championship and the most points. If he intends to use falsities as part of his 'argument' then what else am I suppose to conclude? Of course he's trolling! Or does he seriously expect us to be convinced by statements which are undeniably false? I'll give him the credit he deserves, I simply can't imagine a man would be so unintelligent to attempt to do that.

To be fair football is about differing opinions, he might be on the wind up, i don't know. I remember a guy that used to sit behind me in o'neills era that slated him every game, leicester fans are an odd bunch.

I can prove that part of what he said is wrong. Admittedly I can't do the same for his view about having Davies as manager but when people start to say things that they know are untrue then it's surely time to start questioning whether they're being serious or not.
