Simonb Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 He'll be a sub and to be honest id rather have him come on for the last 20 mins with his impact record over what we already have but id never have him in the starting 11 over wood nuge vardy or gtf.. id like to hold on to schlupp as he can help out on the left waggy should go though phillips a right winger n hold on to all the squad bar waggy n il be confident we can push on for the remainder of the season
Dan Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 There you go KentFoxSteve, just fixed your script for greater Radio Leicester 'authenticity'. My hat goes off to you. One of the best things I've read on here
Nick Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 In the Mirror now. Yeah, seems to imply he's not fit. Hmm. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-eye-kevin-phillips-2987744
Unabomber Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Bump! Just in case anyone missed it... Fine effort, Sir! I've seen someone post that before.

Nick Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 How fit do you need to be for a 25 minute cameo appearance? My only point is that as a January signing he needs to hit the ground running, not be able to give the side 20 mins around the end of March.
Happy Fox Posted 5 January 2014 Author Posted 5 January 2014 KP has been renowned as a poacher Fox in the Box striker his movement is very good, he won't be starting games that will be Nugent, Vardy and Wood's duty. But he will be a valuable assett to come of the bench, particulary when we are in losing positions, winning positions will be GTF.
Deucalion Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 I assume he means he is not match fit. Surely he was training with Palace so is fit fit?

dpjfox Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 if he wants regular action he wont come here , will probably go Wolves
LCCFox96 Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Not for a while. I would play Wood over Kevin Phillips. He has proven himself capable of scoring over several loan spells, like millwall and Birmingham, and in the early part of his time here. When he has started he looks very good this season and I think he would have made his return to the team against forest before internationals and injuries reclaimed him. There is something - despite Phillips obvious high finishing standards - that says we should get an impact sub on the right side 32ish who can play the whole 90. It might be of more use in the long run. If it doesn't work out this year Phillips will be off aged 41 and we will have to look for a player in that position again. I think we can agree we could all do without adding to list of contracts expiring at the end of the season. Also someone we can keep as a squad player if we go up would be grand too. I'm not writing Phillips off. A player of his class it would be foolish to do so. I would just prefer to look at other options who can be used in this tough, challenging league more frequently and in more roles (I.e. Starter, impact sub etc). We nev.er know what problems injuries, suspensions or this transfer window will get us and I don't see KP as a sustainable option.
Stadt Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 I've seen someone post that before.ASS has posted it twice now.
rico Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 ASS has posted it twice now. He'll be dining out on that for years to come
Unabomber Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 ASS has posted it twice now. No I mean before that.
ScouseFox Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 I already can't wait to see a GTF and Phillips partnership.
Simonb Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 No I mean before that. I agree it was posted last jan or last summer I think

Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Chris Wood will score 10 goals between now and the end of the season
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 I agree it was posted last jan or last summer I think I tweeted it in March 2012 when I used to run a football blog. You can google it, Teamtalk quoted it in an article.
lcfcsnow Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Chris Wood will score 10 goals between now and the end of the season Who for?
MPH Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 My only point is that as a January signing he needs to hit the ground running, not be able to give the side 20 mins around the end of March. I know what you mean I'm just being realistic in so much as knowing a 40 year old probably won't even get half a game for us.. As an aside the prospect of him coaching vardy, Waghorn and Schlupp is mouthwatering....
AyewJoking Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 4? Nugent, Vardy, GTF, Waghorn, Wood, Schlupp Turns out as well as being illiterate he can't count either... think he was having a pop at Waghorn.
