ealingfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Hammond struggled massively. You could tell our lads were used to having no time on the ball. Stoke didn't press us much and just allowed us to make mistakes. Very sloppy in possession overall not a bad run out but some of our play was woeful. Hammond sounded good but I wasn't at the game. Interesting, a guy recently accused of knowing fvck all about football (by cityfanlee tbf) v Alan Young.
GingerrrFox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Interesting... Youngy gave Hammond MOTM.. Can't believe that. De Laet was very good first half, as was Knockaert. Hammond struggled in possession and didn't seem to cope with the tempo of the game.
Swarles Barkley Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Reading between the line my assessment of pearsons post match interview is "were probably signing phillips and harry redknapp is a nosey cvnt"

Bryn Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 That was a fantastic interview ! Think it was quite good natured. Sounds promising too.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 First half was uninspired dross. No urgency on or off the ball, the attacking threat looked minimal and we simply could not hold onto possession to save our lives. It got embarrassing at times. Much better second half. Would liked to have seen the subs much earlier. Nice goal from Nugent, but my god he lost the ball way too many times. Thought schlupp had a poor game throughout aswell. Great support from the fans. Loud and proud! Disappointed to be out if I'm honest. To me, today highlights once again that our squad is weak when our key men don't play. That needs sorting if we want to survive in the PL. Onwards and upwards into the league. Up the Foxes!
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Pearson knows his geography... that is what I got from that interview
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 That was a fantastic interview ! Think it was quite good natured. Sounds promising too. Wasn't awkward, it was funny to listen too and Pearson seemed to be taking the p out of stringer
AKCJ Posted 4 January 2014 Author Posted 4 January 2014 Iggy has a really weird accent. Mixture of spanish and cockney.
Guest Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 This loss is a good omen. EVERY time (that's 100%) that we've won the league we've been knocked out of the cup.
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Iggy has a really weird accent. Mixture of spanish and cockney. True sounds like a cockney trying to put on a Spanish accent
Unabomber Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 We had our share of cup fun vs Fulham and City, credit to Pearson for going out so others could have a taste and we can do a job on winning the league.

I personally would have been pissed off if we hadn't have had a good go today. My gripe about the Man City game was that it looked like we were holding a training session in front of 30k plus people. But today it sounded like we gave a decent account of ourselves, second half especially.
Bert Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 The most disappointing thing for me today is that we didn't give a very good account of ourselves. When we finally had a go we actually looked ok, and it was no surprise that we looked better in the 4-4-2. We were crap until Dyer and Nugent came on. Nice to get a goal to give us something to cheer about. At least we can concentrate on the league now, absolutely no excuses can be given now. We are top of the league, 4 points clear with only our league fixtures to fulfill. Our key players have had a rest and we should all be up for Friday.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Decent performance shame we couldnt nick a draw. Ref was shit and two mins injury time is a joke to be honest. Not unhappy we have gone out though and pleased that because boro lost our fixture list is intact. Bring on derby

Yeah, the Man City game was always going to strange/tough due to the state of their squad, and the way they were/are playing.
