EnglishOxide Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Jamie Vardy is having a party, bring your vodka and your charlie Repeat Hmm. Hope this one doesnt catch on. It makes no sense (unless ive missed some Vardy related stories!).
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Hmm. Hope this one doesnt catch on. It makes no sense (unless ive missed some Vardy related stories!). great thats ok then.cuz iwan and julian did actually live in council flats. we will actually riot if we sell Knockaert. and peter reid can eat bananas with his feet and play piano with his toes.
JonnyBoy Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Hmm. Hope this one doesnt catch on. It makes no sense (unless ive missed some Vardy related stories!). if it helps improve the atmosphere who cares?
purpleronnie Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 if it helps improve the atmosphere who cares? That's one of the problems we face we seem to have a lot of song police about, this song's shit lets sing another one etc etc...We seem to be very uptight.
Voll Blau Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Make sure you take some dips if you're going Jamie Vardy's. (and breadsticks)
EnglishOxide Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 That's one of the problems we face we seem to have a lot of song police about, this song's shit lets sing another one etc etc...We seem to be very uptight. Well the same song was sung for Paddy Kenny but had a reason behind it. I just didnt know whether there was a story to it or not. Weve already got the fleetwood town/million pound one that doesnt get an airing.
Voll Blau Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 The same song's sung about Josh McEachran, Phil Tufnell etc. They just seem like the sort of blokes who might host that kind of party.
tommypello Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Could have been worse, Leeds fans took the loss well ha ha. Brilliant
Dickov22 Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Im pretty annoyed by us today to be honest. Can't believe it's come to this, that Leicester City play a weakened side against a very average Premiership team in the fa cup. A side we had a great chance of beating. Sad day for football that most teams now aren't bothered about such a fantastic historic competition. We were utterly woeful in the first half- outmuscled, outpassed. It was like a training game for Stoke (Stoke FFS!). We didn't cause their back 4 a single problem. It was embarrassing. I sat in the corporate bit and had to endure serveral 'this is why you're championship' shouts. Frustrating, because I believe our best 11 would have given these a bloody good game. I can't remember us playing this diamond formation and ever looking good. Our best formation is 4-4-2 and we looked much better once we switched to this. It was too late by then. We just lack width, and our full backs become isolated. Schlupp couldn't be bothered, and our 2 centre halves were totally outclassed by Jones. Shame for the magnificent Leicester fans, who were so loud throughout. We never got amongst Stoke today, never gave it a go. So annoying. Lets hope it's a blessing in disguise and we give a better account of ourselves against Derby.
Stadt Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Vardy was rumoured to be snorting coke, I reckon he's perfoming better now because he's off it .
KFS Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Why would we go at it though? There would be another few games on offer which we just can't handle with such a small squad. The 'historic competition' debate just doesn't hold up against our current league position imo. No injuries and not demoralising, on we go.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 A shame we didn't go for it more, but I doubt we'll be too upset if we're on the pitch with Lloyd and Vardy carried aloft on our shoulders in May. I don't think this'll have the same impact as losing at home to Huddersfield last season, now that was decidedly limp.
Corky Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Disappointed, we didn't play well and certain players who came in didn't play well, especially Schlupp. Dyer was missed, you could see the midfield almost subconsciously looking out to the wing for a pass, and we didn't have anyone with his drive and determination to really take people on (Knocky apart). The tempo was too slow and too hesitant, especially in 50/50 challenges. Improved when we brought Nugent, who had our best two openings, and Dyer arrived but it was too late to fashion a real recovery. I've no problem with the changes Pearson made, several played a part in a crucial win at Millwall whilst Dyer cannot play at the level and energy he has every game he plays. That team was good enough to pose a real test and we didn't do the basics well. A shame to be knocked out after one game but hopefully Pearson will have learnt things from it. Need a winger to back up Dyer the most crucial signing if there is to be one.

Thracian Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Family members went and enjoyed the crack but I couldn't take the game seriously - nor any Leicester City Cup games nowadays. Mind you Pearson had the decency to say beforehand that promotion is our priority so it was perfectly clear we'd start with a side much changed from what has come to seem like our strongest line-up. If 40 coachloads of fans chose to watch, plus extras, then all credit to them but I didn't have the slightest doubt that we'd lose. With blokes like the Villa manager Paul Lambert saying what a pain it is to have to deal with the FA Cup I'm starting to wonder why we still go through the motions of staging cup competitions at all. Not that I understand the half-hearted approach for one moment. To me the FA Cup is what it always is, an excellent chance to fly the club's flag from the rooftops. Now though the game is so ruled by money and fear that the attractions of Cup football come a poor second to the League business at many clubs. And today's pampered players can't possibly put the effort into both, for all their scientific state-of-the-art fitness regimes. Strange that considering all the energy they seem to have to carp about their contracts.
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Call me old fashioned but leicester city carved in the fa cup would mean more than promotion and maybe 12 months in the top flight. maybe I'm a sentimental old fool. at 34.

I agree. But, realistically we were never going to win it this season. Let's take try and win it when we're in a better position to do so.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I agree. But, realistically we were never going to win it this season. Let's take try and win it when we're in a better position to do so. Indeed. If you look at the teams that have made the final and indeed won it in recent years, a financially backed and well-managed Leicester City in the PL could have the potential to challenge for a trip down Wembley Way in a couple of seasons.
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I agree. But, realistically we were never going to win it this season. Let's take try and win it when we're in a better position to do so. I almost knew that would be the 1st response.but why not have a go every year. Did wigan really think they could win it. we could still (forgive me father) not go up. but could fluke for or 5 wins. History that will last a lifetime and longer. For the record I want promotion and the TITLE as much as anyone else. just have a hankering for an fa cup cuz I'm never gonna get a champions league trip as things stand.
C-man Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Could have been worse, Leeds fans took the loss well ha ha. Can only remember that once from a Leicester end - after the 5-1 at Forest. Foaming.

Of course, spot on.

Don't think I wouldn't want us to win it! Just saving for a house wouldn't go well with a long weekend away at Metalist Kharkiv

Just saving for a house wouldn't go well with a long weekend away at Metalist Kharkiv I've got a house and want a few mid week trips anywhere as a city fan. Ok it may end in divorce. But I missed out on the madrid and vienna trips so I would take a few europe aways.
