Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Creditable 0-0 result, but I do think the FA may want to look again at the rule that cup goals don't count as the replays are really beginning to pile up.
ousefox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Glad I didn't go. Best end result for the league really. Sounded like a decent enough performance, with players rested and Nugent with a goal.
ImBlue Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Us, QPR and Burnley all out. Derby probably to follow tomorrow. Interesting. They put out good sides though. Vokes and Ings played, which surprised me.
Unabomber Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 If there has ever been a more uplifting post match thread after a loss I haven't seen it.
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Injury-free, replay-free, with a goal for our huge away following to celebrate. Could have been worse. Yep we could have drew and had a replay
A fox for life Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 It'd be great to see Nugent come into form now, been overdue for a while. It could have been a hell of a lot worse. both goals we're headers from Nuge so they don't count, only 4 goals this season . . . pathetic
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I was about as bothered by this as the stoke fans were. Bring on the Derby
purpleronnie Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I don't care about thios result unless we lose to Derby.
Ric Flair Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Another goal from open play for Nugent is a big positive. We'll be bob on for the shaggers on Friday. Sound
TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I just got told Knockaert has a gangster french accent.
foxfanazer Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 The most satisfying defeat we'll ever have Glad we kept it to a 1 goal loss so morale won't be destroyed. Well done again Nuge, for a sh1t striker you don't half score a lot of goals
ealingfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Only 1 win all calendar year, no wins or points from our last 1 games, wheels fallen off?
lgfualol Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 At least we didnt get thrashed like QPR. Now to concentrate 100000% on promotion.
fleckneymike Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Glad you find it funny, the only reason Stanley Matthew's played on for so long was because he was still registered to Stoke for a 3rd round replay in 1932, it was eventually settled on a coin toss in 1964.

Buzzell Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Only 1 win all calendar year, no wins or points from our last 1 games, wheels fallen off? Pearson out.
AKCJ Posted 4 January 2014 Author Posted 4 January 2014 Did Pearson do an interview with the radio?. Ah, right on cue.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 When the draw came up I said it was a shitty one for us because Stoke away are the type of side we don't usually do well against. They are bigger and stronger and in Adam have a player with a bit of Prem quality. Those genuinely predicting we would win this game were IMO a little naive. However, we haven't been tonked, came back well in the second half and can leave with our heads held high. Im not at all surprised we lost and am not really bothered because at least we had a good go at it. Now we can focus on Direby and keep this momentum going. I wasn't there today so can't say this with much authority, but where I expect we lost the battle today was physically. We do need to address this if we go up, in terms of signing one or two players with a bigger physical presence because the Prem is full of really strong lads. Thats not important now though, of course. Im sure Nigel will look at the squad per se if we get promotion. Good effort today City and now the big stuff starts again

GingerrrFox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Hammond struggled massively. You could tell our lads were used to having no time on the ball. Stoke didn't press us much and just allowed us to make mistakes. Very sloppy in possession overall not a bad run out but some of our play was woeful.

Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Hammond sounded good but I wasn't at the game.
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Stringer my geography isnt good but we are close. Pearson: we are in the midlands
