Brown Fox Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 While a wins a win, after the way we played on friday and they played yesterday, a 1-0 win would be rather disappointing, because the gulf in class looks absurd. They got torn asunder and were chasing shadows of a team with minimal pace: the likes of Lloyd and Vardy would have an absolute field day against that defence. A win is never disappointing!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Will be interesting to see what their fans are saying on their forums No doubt after our performance this week, and Leeds non performance we should be going into this to pick up an easy 3 pts. However we all know football isn't like that. Surely their must be some fight in their team and I'm sure they won't be that poor again and we will see a reaction next week. Having said that I have faith in Pearson to keep the players feet on the ground and not get carried away. We need to take every game seriously, and if we do and play our own game I believe we will get the 3 pts. Some people claiming we should hit double figures next week need to take a reality check. I'd take a 1-0 win right now! This
The Doctor Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 A win is never disappointing! Change it to underwhelming then - the point behind it remains the same. On recent showings we're far better than just a 1-0 win against these.
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 I have a bad feeling about Leeds. They are shite at present and in desperate need of a win. In Kebe and Stewart they have signed two wingers who can be very good and awful in equal measure. Lets hope its the latter. Finally, we are now up there to be shot at. I just wonder if its gonna be one of those games. I dont think its gonna be easy.
Kitchandro Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 We're not going to play quite that well every game, and we will have off days. Offer me a scrappy 1-0 win against Leeds and I'll snap your hand off.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 It's a game in which we need to get the first goal, giving ourselves a cushion, and making Leeds come at us. Our pace could do terminal damage if this is the case. We need to play well to win, make no mistake.
XLM Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 One positive judging by their highlights yesterday is that they have a very slow defence. I doubt they'll be as bad as they were against Wednesday, but if we exploit them with our pace I don't see how they'd cope?
oxtonfox Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Leeds current form reminds me a little bit of West Ham last week. Hammered 5-0 in Cup then 6-0 in League Cup; Allardyce under pressure and look what happened they won 2-0 against Cardiff who were themselves in good form. One other thing: This is about the time last year when we lost to Peterboro away and they were in dire form too and we started that awful run of form ourselves . Someone once said "it's a funny old game" : I just hope I don't hear Jeff Stelling saying "Leeds on an awful run , Leicester on a great run of 5 wins in a row but it's all change at Elland Road !!! " We have ourselves to beat or the only fear we have is fear itself
MGLCFC Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 Thankfully Jeff Stellng's not on that early - but I know where your coming from. Difficult game, but one NP will have the boys fully prepared for. A solid first half with a 1 - 0 lead could see a comfortable win in the second half. I'm going for a hard fought win, but know we could get turned over if we are complacent.
Beliall Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 if we play like we did against against derby, im goimg to quickly run out of space on my planner! watched yhe derby game again today and still dont wamt to delete it.
Simonb Posted 12 January 2014 Posted 12 January 2014 The only worry I'd have is kebe v schlupp feeding mccormack.. if we can keep kebe quiet its ours for the taking
foxfanazer Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 The only worry I'd have is kebe v schlupp feeding mccormack.. if we can keep kebe quiet its ours for the takingSeriously overrated player imo (Kebe). Mccormack is obviously the danger man so we'll have to have a plan for him. Just limit the supply as much as possible

But they don't give all that much attention to the early games, they just talk about the Prem for 3 straight hours.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 I fully understand people being cautious like pre Derby, however like many, having watched the Scum being destroyed by the Owls I think we will have far too much for them. If we're at them from the off I feel our blistering pace and slick passing will destroy them. Early goal and I genuinely feel it could be over as a contest by HT. COYB

Just limit the supply as much as possibleKebe is a little like Beckford IMO. On his day, just about unplayable, otherwise completely goes missing. Get stuck into him early doors, refuse him time and space and he'll give in after 20 mins. Do the opposite and he'll be a fookin nuisance all game.I agree with you over McCormack. Too good a player for Leeds IMO.

COYBI can see another Sheffield Weds performance by us sadly, however hopefully we can still grind a result out
deanolegend1989 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Im suprised by the overwelming optamism for this. Do people not remember that every time we think were going to kick on we blow it? 6 wins in a row doesnt happen for our lot. We look so good at the moment, Leeds are absolutely sh*te..we have 5 wins in a row. There is NO chance that we will win the game..its as simple as that. Lets put it this way if we win tomorrow we might as well write our name on the trophy! I expect to win but Id be suprised if it happened. I wouldnt take a draw right now despite this but if it happened then it would be ok and bring on the Boro.
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I see no reason why we cannot beat them, yes its the Leicester way to lose this game but we aren't making those same frailties and mistakes like before.

deanolegend1989 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I'd say it would be nothing short of remarkable if we win tomorrow I sense sarcasm..but on a serious note, I know as well as everyone else that we are on great form/Leeds awful etc. I remember full well the same at Sheffield Wednesday though and I genuinely would be very suprised(even if it shouldnt be a suprise on paper) if we actually did beat them and bring up 6 wins in a row. If we did do that it really would suggest to me this is literally the season when everything that usually happens with us(in the last decade) is changing..
Buce Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 It might be something to do with you thinking the game is tomorrow.....
Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 For all it'd be typical of us to lose this, that doesn't excuse it. We're a better side and should win it as a result.
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Leeds appeal to rescind a red card for Matt Smith is turned down that is one less thug for our team to deal with.
