LCCFox96 Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 It will probably rotate depending on the opponent and formation we play (although this is mainly 442 now.) I'd be very tempted to keep Hammond on the bench particularly for away games.
Swarles Barkley Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I would risk not having back up keeper on the bench. The advantage of having that extra option on the bench outweighs the benefit if kasper gets injured/sent off. Therefore ill go with Was Schlupp Mahrez Hammond (at away games) GTF (at home games) King Phillips Wood

For me it's a no brainer to have a spare keeper. It's a very necessary precaution. Kasper can be a lose cannon as well.Logan Was Hammond King Mahrez Wood Phillips. Schlupp out on loan for a few months and GTF to rotate in and out depending on opposition and or formation.
Nalis Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Some people are ****ing crazy to suggest no goalie on the bench. Imagine Kasper gets injured early on in a vital game and NP didn't have a keeper on the bench... Would certainly fuel the fire of the anti NP brigade!
sylofox Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Harsh on players who have helped us to get to the position we are in to be removed from the squad for a bloke who's openly stated he's gonna retire at the end of the season. Hammond and GTF look most likely to be sacrificed. No room for sentiment only promotion. Half the squad that gets us up won't be good enough for the prem week in week out. Expect 5/6 new first team players to come in in the summer. If KP comes in scores 6 goals gains us 8 points from lose draw situations who give a toss. Football is an evolving game long time great servants get replaced before they retire. Thats life get used to it.
Bert Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Be surprised if Jeff is whilst Miquel is still injured. Left back cover.
theessexfox Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I reckon several players will make the bench...
Lakes fox Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Miquel can cover Schulpp's position easily. Miquel King GTF Hammond Phillips Mahrez Wasyl Bloody hell, what a squad we've got now.[what about the keeper cover]
yorkie1999 Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 We're going to field an extra sub. Kevin Phillips is going to hide in GTF's shorts.
MGLCFC Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Don't think NP will risk Mahrez for a couple of week, until he acclimatises to the pace of the game. I can see him playing a couple of warm up games, with a chance given at Bournemouth, so my subs for saturday are Logan Wasyl (as Miquel is not completely fit) Hammond King Wood GTF Phillips
lgfualol Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Just have the 7 subs and make GTF stand nearby, people wont think presume he's young enough to be a footballer and then we have 8 options.
JimmyB Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 We probably have 5 or 6 outfield players in our regular match day squad that are better keepers than Logan. Ditch him. I jest, I think.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 I can't believe my eyes, people seriously suggesting that we shouldn't have a sub GK??
theessexfox Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 For Saturday I'd go: Logan Wasilewski Schlupp Hammond King/Mahrez Wood GTF Just unsure on King or Mahrez.
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 16 January 2014 Posted 16 January 2014 Filbert Fox is a better keeper than Logan!!!
Leicester_Numan Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Isn't it brilliant that the signing of just 2 players has given us a selection headache for the bench? I think we can now say we have strength in depth in what is a relatively small squad. No offence to Logan but his name sticks out a bit.
Silverdaz Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Schlupp will be playing LB so that problem is solveed because if Konchesky has a hamstring pull then he might be out for a few weeks and as I think Miquel isnt fit yet

Imagine Kasper gets injured early on in a vital game and NP didn't have a keeper on the bench... Would certainly fuel the fire of the anti NP brigade! Of course you would have one in a vital game, some league games you could be tempted to get away with seven outfield players though.
shade Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 sadly we have to have Logan on the bench for home games, no one else could comfortably sit in the ass grooves he's worn in to his seat.
theessexfox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Of course you would have one in a vital game, some league games you could be tempted to get away with seven outfield players though. Why is it more of a risk in big games? Surely its a risk in any game?
Happy Fox Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Logan, GTF, Hammond, King, Wasyl, Schlupp and Miguel. - Usually. Logan, King, Wasyl, GTF, Phillips, Mahrez and Schlupp.
eddylcfc Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 With the arrivals of Mahrez and Phillips out bench is going to be seriously strong. I would imagine some players may be miffed about not being involved at all. Possible bench options for tomorrow: Logan Wasyl Miquel Schlupp Hammond King Mahrez Wood Phillips Waghorn GTF Hope it doesn't cause unrest! To me players like schlupp and waggy need to go. Either loans or perm
Jimmy Posted 17 January 2014 Posted 17 January 2014 Schlupp may well be in the team tomorrow, Waghorn won't be in the squad like most of the season, can't see it being a problem
