Yeah went Zante in 09 and it was fairly sick!

Looking for a lads holiday with the uni lot this year for one last big mashup before we all move away and into full time work. Consensus seems to be Napa atm.

Big gigs this year. Bruges and York in February, Poland in August and then South Africa for 3 weeks in November/December.

Have you been to Bruges before?

No mate, any tips?

Yeah I have been the last 2 years, last year just for a day from Brussels.

If you are into your beer you definitely need to check out T'Brugsch Bieratelier which is near the de halve maan brewery and they have a selection of beers on tap which they change round each month. 't Poatersgat is a great cellar bar which like everywhere else there has a great beer selection (la chouffe on tap there is amazing as the guy who works there is an ambassador for it). Then you have Cambrinus which is more touristy as they have one of the biggest selections of beer in the world.

For food if you like ribs then you HAVE to go to Ribs n Beer, it is up there with the best restaurants I have been to and as the name suggests you have to have the ribs which are unlimited and come in 3 different styles. You are best to book there and can do so online which is what we did.

Any questions feel free to ask mate.

Cheers mate appreciate it! Will definitely check out all of those places. Love ribs that sounds right up my street.

I've heard it's just a great place to wander about which I like as I hate getting too caught up on specific things to do. Like to just wander and end up in peculiar places. Haha

Yeah it is great for that, me and my mates had a few bars which we definitely wanted to check out which we did but it was really nice just wondering round. Although after we had ticked off most of the bars we did end up on a canal tour during which the chap running it seemed to lose his shit with us due to our alternative running commentary. I blame the copious amount of 8% beer.

Went to Bruges last year with a Geordie mate to watch Club Brugge vs. Newcastle. Didn't have a ticket to the game so watched it with about 1000 Geordies in the main square on a big screen. They let us drink 8% beers from the corner shop while standing around. I can't remember anything from half time onwards apart from shouting at some German tourists "LET ME USE YOUR GOOGLE MAPS" at about 2am. I woke up to pictures of me and policemen, and multiple missed calls to Tooting Blood Donor centre. I haven't the foggiest.

I have 33 days holiday this year. I've already managed to book it all lol Spending Easter weekend in Krakow, off to Glastonbury in June, a week in Cornwall in July, a long weekend in Finland in July for a stag do, a long weekend in Edinburgh in August for the Fringe and Commonwealth Games, a week in Majorca for my mum's 60th in September and three weeks in India in November. Better start saving...

Anyone know much about Tunisia?

Thinking off a break for the wife, without the 2 terrors. For our anniversary in august.

I went in August and it was terrible. I stayed in the resort of Sousse apparently El Kantoui is a bit better. But overall I wouldn't go back to the country again.
