Just booked a week all Inc in laganas zante.

Know it will be lively in august but as its our wedding anniversary. Anyone got any hidden gems on the island so we can get away from the drink fuelled chaos for a bit.

Cheers mate. We're staying at the Marriott Marquis in times sq. it was £1500 for a week so it better be good. It's got those cool elevators and 1,900 rooms so expecting it to be big.

We have already booked to see New York nicks and a show on Broadway. The brewery tour sounds good, I'll do that when the mrs is seeing some bullshit sex and the city thing

I stayed in the marquis last year - was really good.  I've also stayed at the renaissance, also in times square, and I much prefer the marquis.  Location is ace, exec lounge is good, and the revolving restaurant / bar on the top floor is good for a few cocktails.  My room was pretty big by ny standards.  I'm sure you will enjoy!

2 of my favourite restaurants in ny are Del Firsco's (6th Ave) and Quality Meats (Central Park South), give them a go.

Times Square is basically Piccadilly Circus on steroids. It's one of those places where I'm not sure why people end up going there (just like Piccadilly Circus in fact). I say that, I still went there. I think I developed epilepsy. The Toys R Us there has a part designed like Jurassic Park and a Ferris wheel. Worth it just for that.

Thinking about it I had to walk through it at about half 9 on a Sunday morning on the way back to my mate's apartment after we lost the play-off semi to Watford. It hadn't really kicked into gear and it was probably more interesting seeing it then than later in the day. At least I think it hadn't. I just spend half an hour walking along shaking my head after that match. Then went to an all you can drink champagne brunch and got smashed. Good times.

Okay cheers, next question.

For cliffs and rough seas, where would anyone recommend. All of UK and ireland is cool

cheers

Im not sure about cliffs, but we went to St Davids a couple oof years ago.. took a jet boat ride out around the islands... simply spectacular (fvcking cold though).

Giants Causeway and the North West coast of Irelend is beautiful, the walkway bridge (whos name escapes me) is delightful.

My folks did that a few years ago. Just had a hire 4wd tho and ended up having to sleep in the car because of flood waters at a river they couldn't cross.

Pal, that sounds an absolute dream, been wanting to do a skirmish round eastern europe for ages now and nearly booked it for this summer but going SA in November for 3 weeks instead. Go for it!!!

Let me know where in SA you are going. We could have an international FT meet up.

Got a short break in St Ives, Cornwall coming up in May. Hopefully should be a good hol for us and our 1 year old daughter

Im looking for a cottage in St Ives as we speak, trying to get a week in from the 29th March before the prices hike for Easter.  It is a challenge, but maybe I am picky!!
