BigWesMorgan Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 On my phone so I'm not going to give ratings for all the players. Just a few points: Konchesky 0 - Absolutely diabolical Kasper had a great game James was our best outfield player I thought Your views?
sdb Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper, Wes, Drinky and James were excellent. We were resilient as a group. Konch had a bad day.
TJB-fox Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper 9 de laet 6.5 wes 8.5 moore 6/7 konch 4 Knocky 6 drinkwater 7 james 8 dyer 5 nugent 7 vardy 6 was 7 kp 7.5 king 6
kingfox Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Schmeichel 8 - Saved us, numerous times today De Laet 7 - Had a decent game, hopefully injury is not bad Morgan 9 - Absolute beast of a performance, great display Moore 7 - On the floor a bit sloppy, but couldn't fault him in the air Konchesky 4 - Awful Knockaert 7 - He looked the likely source to open things in first half, mediocre second Drinkwater 6 - Not his best game today, quite a mixture from him James 8 - Proved why he's such a good footballer, good on the ball, won a lot of headers Dyer 5 - Just couldn't get him in the game Vardy 6 - Hit the post, but apart from that fairly quiet Nugent 7 - I thought he was quite poor, until he sent me into a celebrating frenzy Subs Wasilewski 5 - Won a few headers, but of course when covering right-back, he gave away a free kick Phillips 6 - Held ball up well, that dummy King 6 - Not enough time, but did a job
deanolegend1989 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Drinky was excellent? you must be watching a different game . He was terrible today. Kasper 7 De Laet 6 Morgan 7 Moore 7 Konch 3 Knocky 5 James 6 Drinky 4 Dyer 5 Nugent 6 Vardy 6 Subs: Kev 6 King 7 Was 6 Defence: Moore & Morgan fairly good from 30 mins onwards but they could of been out of sight by then. Konch has a stinker, De Laet steady enough. Midfield: Knocky was poor but icelated a little, Dyer was not involved but he had 2 on him and we were getting bossed out the game. James was decent but didnt create much..Drinky was poor, lost it alot and got bossed out..Leeds won the midfield today Strikers: Nuge was poor, didnt press and ill be honest I called him to come off, however hes a big player and a vital contribution. Think Vardy did as well as he could but was living on hoofed balls up to him..Unlucky in 5th min. Subs: Think King was impressive, vital to winning the game I think, broke up play and started the move for the winner. Kev smart step over and unselfish play. Was little impact but did nothing wrong.
XLM Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 I am more than thankful that we didn't end up signing Stewart or Kebe this transfer window. Kebe in particular doesn't look even half the player he was at Reading.
Devonfox1884 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper-9: great 1-on-1 save from McCormack. De laet- 6: generally did ok until he was subbed. Wes-9: beast. Moore-6: not his best game, but did ok. Konch-3: could've cost us 2 goals, maybe even more. Knocky-6: steady. A couple of flashes of skill. Drinky-6: not his best, but good enough. James-7: worked really hard against a dogid leeds. Dyer-5: marked by 2 players, therefore ineffective. Nuge-7.5: great work rate, well taken goal. Vardy-6: see drinkwater. Was-6 Super kev-7 Kingy-6.5 Well done lads.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Some of these scores are too harsh, far from a performance but think back over watching many games over many years and you can still get to them scores? Lowest would be a 5/6
RowlattsFox Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper has to be man of the match, for the first half saves alone.
bovril Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 From tele: Kasper: 9 Da Laet 7 Morgan 9 Moore 8 Konch 5 Knocky 6 Drinky 6 James 7 Dyer 5 Nugent 8 Vardy 7 Was 7 Phillips 6 King 7
Swarles Barkley Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper 9 - Kept us in it right till the end. Excellent game De laet- 6.5 good defending. Not much going forward Morgan/moore both 7- typical game for them. Looked strong and didnt give the strikers much after the first 20mins Konchesky 4- worse player by far today. Seemed like his injury niggle played a big part in his performance. Knockaert 7 wanted the ball all the time. Worked tirelessly Drinks 6 not his best game James 7 as with drinks not his best game but did well against their very physical midfield Dyer 5 nothing from dyer today Nugent 7 had one chance and took it. Not much more you can ask Vardy 7 worked his socks off, had very little service. Unlucky not to score King 7 did a good job coming on. Decent shot as well. Had a big part in the goal i think Phillips 7 looked very good for a 40yr old! Great work for the goal
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 McCormack 10 - helped Konch's backpasses on to Kasper beautifully.
foxfanazer Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper 8.5 Moore- 5.5 Morgan 7 De laet 6.5 Konchesky 1.several Knocky 6 Drinkwater 6 James 7.5 Dyer 6 Nugent 6.5 Vardy 6.5
Lcfc Jordan Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Schmeichel 8 - Saved us would of lost without him today imo De Laet 7 - thought he played well today couldnt really get forward as much as he would of wanted to and a shame about his injury crucial player for us Morgan 8 - Leader today defended well Moore 7 - defended well but showed that he has still got a lot of work to do to become the finished article Konchesky 2 - Awful really was poor today Knockaert 6 - mixed bag today, and his tackling really is awful haha Drinkwater 7 - Not at his best but kept playing it around and tried his best James 8 - played really well today Dyer 3 - Just couldn't get him in the game couldnt fault his effort though Vardy 5 - thought his one and only shot was goal bound but apart from that was quiet Nugent 6 - poor for the majority but showed why hes in the side Subs Wasilewski 5 - defended well Phillips 7 - looked so good when he come on King 7 - played well when he came on
dmayne7 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Drinky was excellent? you must be watching a different game . He was terrible today. Spot on. Think that it showed people were a little premature on that topic about our best pairing in the middle. We actually managed to win the 2nd ball when King was on and the fact that he's on the bench tells you just how good our team is. James was very good and Drinkwater to his credit, whilst struggling to dictate play, showed just how much he has improved defensively because he made some great challenges, interceptions and lots of clever bits of play (winning free kicks, throw-ins, holding up play etc.) Kasper showed why he is regarded as the best keeper outside the Premier League. Even we McCormack went through on goal, I was still pretty confident Kasper would save it, such is his ability at one on ones. Today showed why we are rightly being touted as potential champions. Such different performances in 2 games but the same end result. Fantastic.
Dickov22 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper 9 Absolutely fantastic De Laet 6.5 Did his job Morgan 9 Colossul. Excellent performance Moore 6 Think he's become a bit cocky/complacent. Dodgy first half, better second Konchesky 5 His worst performance of the season Knockaert 6.5 Worked hard, always wanted the ball but nothing really came off for him James 8.5 The pick of our midfield Drinkwater 6.5 Quiet game for him but did ok Dyer 6 Couldn't get him into the game Vardy 6.5 Quiet game by his standards but his first half effort was fantastic. So unlucky not to score Nugent 8 Excellent goal. So well taken King and Phillips played their parts in the win. Wasilewski hoofs the ball too much Average performance, great win.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Do think that Mccormack in our team would go down a treat
deanolegend1989 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 I agree Dmayne with a majority of that but I must say about Drinky, whilst he did alot of breaking up etc he was poor overall I feel. If we had drew 0-0 which we probably at best deserved we wouldnt be giving such praise to a majority of our team. We were lucky today no doubt, but thats the sign of a good team. However doesnt mean we suddenly played better..Morgan, Kasper were very good tbh, James, Vardy, Moore and De Laet couldnt fault them tbh. The rest were below par, espeically Konch, Drinky & Dyer+Knocky(the latter 2 couldnt get involved).
Joe Weetman Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Kasper 10 De laet 7 Morgan 7 Moore 7 Konchesky 3 Knockaert 7 Drinky 8 James. 8 Dyer 6 Vardy 7 Nugent 9 Wasilewski 8 K phillips 8.5 King. 6
Guest ttfn Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Schmeichel 8 - Best player on the pitch De Laet 6 - Meh Morgan 7.5 - Solid Moore 6 - Nowhere near the levels he showed at times this season. Konchesky 3 - At times he looked like he was trying to let them score. Two dreadful back passes, one of which was easily seized upon. Must have committed 5 fouls, one of which he should have been booked for after about 10 seconds. This was not the Konchesky we know. Knockaert 6 - Ineffective Drinkwater 6 - Kicked out of it. James 6 - Likewise, unsurprisingly put himself about a bit more than Drinky. Dyer 4 - Not in the game at all. Vardy 6 - Worked hard and put himself about. Unlucky not to score. Nugent 6 - Not in the game, but ultimately was in the right place at the right time. subs: Phillips 7 - Exactly what we needed at the time. King 7 - As above. Thought he looked very classy and was a real calming influence. Wasilewski 6 - A couple of silly fouls, otherwise fine.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Konch was poor but 2s and 3s? Bit harsh There is no point in having a 1-10 rating system if you're going to give Konchesky more than a 4 today. You may as well start the ratings at 5 and go from there.
pazzerfox Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 I am more than thankful that we didn't end up signing Stewart or Kebe this transfer window. Kebe in particular doesn't look even half the player he was at Reading. Kebe, without that blistering pace he had is.....a Sunday league player.
jpddd1975 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Konchesky consistently the worst player. But McCormack certainly gets the foxes MOM....should have bagged a trick in the 1st 20 mins & then spent the rest of the match trying to buy free kicks.
