dayday Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'm actually not totally convinced he'd pick us over Reading or Wigan. This.....he has already turned us down once opting for Forest
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 From that Pearson interview in the Merc I read: " Yes we're looking at defenders but Jack Hobbs isn't one of them"
Soar Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Jack Hobbs holds all the cards here really. He's out of contract in 6 months if he doesn't want to join Reading or Wigan he can just reject them. If he sees out his contact with Hull he'll be sure to get a good wage and signing on fee in the summer from a club.

The key for me is that I reckon Hobbs will want first team football and at City I doubt that would be assured.
dayday Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The majority of there fans reckon Hobbs is better than Wes,but then again they are saying that Lansbury and Reid are the best midfielders in the championship
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The majority of there fans reckon Hobbs is better than Wes,but then again they are saying that Lansbury and Reid are the best midfielders in the championship To be fair, Lansbury and Reid are good at this level. Not the best though. I'd have James and Drinkwater at present. What Reid and Lansbury do give you is goals from midfield. James and Drinkwater don't. They give you steel and control.
lcfc will Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The majority of there fans reckon Hobbs is better than Wes,but then again they are saying that Lansbury and Reid are the best midfielders in the championship To be fair the majority of Forest fans are completely and utterly deluded about the quality of their squad. Some think that if making a joint team a bit like Derby) it would be pretty much all of their players and barely any of ours. Which team are top again?

CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE SAID TODAY'S SPECIAL WORD 'DELUDED"!!!!!!
Jace Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Starting to think sky got this all wrong. The storey should have been. LCFC make an offer to FoxesTalk for Jace Hobbs. If that is the case they have no need to make an offer I'll give them a £5 to take him. I'll do a better job than Matt Mills
sylofox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'll do a better job than Matt Mills WHOooooPiiiiiiii Doooooo lol
Mike Oxlong Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'll do a better job than Matt Mills Heather Mills would do a better job than Matt Mills and she's only got one fookin leg.
sdb Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I hope there is not truth in this, Keane's inability to defend cost us last season big time. Agreed. I'd be flabbergasted if we tried to re-sign him.
CosbehFox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I personally feel Hobbs agent or maybe Hull used our name to force Reading and Wigan into sorting out personal terms. Most Hull fans are annoyed Hobbs isn't playing over Bruce.
dmayne7 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Heather Mills would do a better job than Matt Mills and she's only got one fookin leg. Really?
Mike Oxlong Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Really? Well, strictly speaking, one and a half.
woznotwos Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Heather Mills would do a better job than Matt Mills and she's only got one fookin leg. Unfair comment. There is such a thing as prosthetic limbs. Shes bound to be better.
RedHux Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 To be fair, Lansbury and Reid are good at this level. Not the best though. I'd have James and Drinkwater at present. What Reid and Lansbury do give you is goals from midfield. James and Drinkwater don't. They give you steel and control. Lansbury doesn't score many, he plays the withdrawn role often in front the back four. Reid mostly just sticks the ball on the forwards head from time to time. Yes, given half an hour on the edge of the box he'll belt it into the top corner but he rarely gets that time against decent sides. Incidentally, we've just signed a CB on loan for the rest of the season.
ScouseFox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 If Hobbs wants to play football and is given a choice between us, Wigan and Reading he won't choose us. He's not good enough to play regularly for us, in this league or the one above.
Out Foxed Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Heather Mills would do a better job than Matt Mills and she's only got one fookin leg. spelling out the joke lessens the effect.
Banks Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Hobbs would be a good signing but I don't want Liam Moore leaving. How on earth could we not start one of Moore/Morgan/Hobbs...
dmayne7 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Well, strictly speaking, one and a half. She's got a huge schlong? spelling out the joke lessens the effect. That was the point I was making
Out Foxed Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 She's got a huge schlong? That was the point I was making i replied before i saw your post, mayne.
katieakita Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Well NP clearly rates him as he has signed him twice. Never thought he did much wrong here so would have a problem bringing him back.
Bettsj2 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 If we signed him, the long term plan would surely be a Hobbs/Moore partnership? Morgan only has a 1 year extension and I doubt should we go up he'd get anything further.
