Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Knocky wasn't having a better game than Lloyd. I think it was more in disappointment rather than having a tantrum. Pearson would say he's pleased his players are unhappy to be subbed. Nothing story. This
cjslcfc Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 He was just disappointed to be subbed. I'm sure the manager and assistant will have explained it to him. He certainly didn't look annoyed at FT
dayday Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 He cares and it showed, come saturday he will be on fire.
foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Good sub by Pearson imo. Sure we'll see the benefits on saturday! On a side note, what a season this man is having!
lavrentis Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Love Lloyd, been there through thick and thin. I will be glad for him personally IF OR WHEN we win the Championship, he deserves it. Always has knuckled down and got on with it.
Bayfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Actually didnt think there was much between knocky and lloyd to be honest. If anything knocky works much harder nowdays. dont mind a player being pissed at having to come off. however. What I didn't like was the fact he walked the other side off shakey and ignored marhez coming on.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I dont think this can just be ignored. Its most unlike Lloyd to throw his toys out. Don't be surprised if he's dropped on Saturday. Pearson will not have taken kindly to that sort of reaction, I wouldn't have thought.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Seemed fine at full time, something of nothing I hope for a player who otherwise has been very professional throughout his time here

Pearson will not have taken kindly to that sort of reaction, I wouldn't have thought. It wasn't particularly professional on Lloyd's part, but Pearson isn't going to drop him when we're doing so well.

C-man Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Think being subbed in his hometown disappointed him the most. Doubt this'll cause any issues between him and the management team, they're pretty tight by all accounts. NP made the right decision dragging him instead of Knocky. AK seems to be able to play every game but with Dyer gone 30 and in the form of his life, seems like NP is being very sensible in managing his workload. Besides, he looked buzzing at FT so didn't take him long to get over it! Quick apology to Mahrez and this will be done.
fazzyfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I hear that after the match he didn't join the others on the team bus and opted instead to run back to the KPS. Despite leaving at exactly the same time as the bus he arrived 20 minutes before the others barely breaking sweat.....
LCCFox96 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I see it as passion. He wants to carry on and do his best for the team and he was actually playing alright tbf to the guy. Probably RL making a big deal out of it but he should still be careful. We all know NP and his management team will not appreciate a negative reaction to being subbed and given he was replaced by a younger Mahrez who is both new to the team and English football, IF he has reacted it isn't a brilliant example to set. Almost certainly nothing though. Lloyd dyer is not that type of guy.
Simi Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 No major problem with him being upset at getting dragged. However he should have acknowledged the fans as he walked off. Although to be fair he did come over at the end.
Bayfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 It's not an if he did. He ignored marhez which i think was the worst part. he looked like he carried on arguing with shakey and stowell in the dugout. he was all smiles at the end of the ma5ch tho. So hopefully it will blow over.
Bert Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I didn't even see what he did? Didn't notice. What did he do?As he was walking towards Shakey he put his arms out to kind of say "why me". Like I said. This is a nothing story, something out of nothing.
MikeyT Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Lloyd Dyers having a Mardy, bring your handbag and ya Charlie. He scores great goals just like Vardy? No?
justfoxes Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Lloyd Dyer is having an awesome season he is destroying some defences with his pace, and when you see the likes of Man city put 2 to 3 defenders on him when he gets the ball really shows how teams know he can be dangerous on the ball. I don't think Lloyd was having a tantrum at all I think it's great to see players with passion who want to stay on the pitch and help their team win games,FairPlay Lloyd Dyer and may you continue to get greater as the season progresses !
Mack Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 He had the hump, walked slowly off the pitch, ignored Marhez and had words with Shakespeare probably because he ignored Marhez. With all the rain we've had lately it's not so easy for Lloyd to play his A game because the pitches are cutting up and getting bumpy. That said the movement and desire to drive into the box, recieve the ball and then rocket it into the roof of the goal should not be underestimated. He got upset because he wanted to continue to contribute to the match and felt he had more to give, that is a good thing, too many players will do as little as possible to earn their money these days. When Vardy scored Lloyd was up of the bench hugging and celebrating with all the others and his frustration has obviously passed. I cant help feeling his contract situation needs sorting now. He loves our club and what's more he is our most loyal servant in recent times and deserves a contract that reflects that.
foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Suprised some people are worried about this. I'm sure Lloydsl's over it by now and will apologise to Mahrez and Pearson. Move on
CosbehFox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I could understand his moans last night. He was playing well whilst Knocky was frustrating. He's a Brum lad, probably had a few scores to settle. Pearson will have a word.
Dan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 It's a shame he completely ignored Mahrez, didn't realise that. One minor blip shouldn't go against him. Love the man.
Callabinho Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I love Lloyd, I cried too when he was taken off!
????? Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Lloyd Dyers having a Mardy, bring your handbag and ya Charlie. Lloyd Dyers having a mardy, Bring your handbags big time Charlie.
Ric Flair Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Lloyd usually goes missing during the winter months but so far this season he's been regularly devastating. His finish last night was typically erratic where he blasts it from yards out and it could go anywhere. There's nothing wrong with him having a bit of passion about wanting to play but I hope it's just that and not because he's having contract issues and the fact we've signed a new rapid winger whose 8-9 years his junior. I don't think it will be that as Dyer seems a model professional and has knuckled down on many occasions to win his place back in our side, he's having his best season by a long stretch and long may it continue.
