FoxG2 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 According to the Daily Mirror, QPR, Derby and Leicester are interested in signing West Hams 21year old midfielder Ravel Morrison on loan until the end of the season, apparently there's a tug of war going on that should be resolved within the nest 48 hours. Don't know if I can believe this or not?
ousefox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Seriously doubt he'd come here. Pearson wouldn't want to disrupt the team with a potential bad influence and we don't need any more players in his position.
MrSpaM Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 In early 2011, he received a 12-month referral order and was ordered to pay £1,445 in costs and compensation after admitting two counts of witness intimidation. After an assault charge was dropped when Morrison's girlfriend refused to testify, he was convicted of criminal damage for throwing her mobile phone out of a window and advised to undergo domestic violence counselling.[40] In February 2012, Morrison was involved in controversy after posting a homophobic threat on Twitter.[41] He was charged under FA rule E3, which governs use of abusive and/or insulting words including reference to a person's sexual orientation, and accepted his guilt. He was fined £7,000.[43] Doesnt exactly look like the sort of character Pearson would want around the squad tbh
Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 West Ham's Ravel Morrison will join Queens Park Rangers on loan within the next 48 hours, it is understood, after turning down the chance to join Leicester City and Derby County. CKB Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Surely utter bollocks? One report says he's got a niggling groin injury One report says he wants to be considered for England's WC team so needs game time but going on loan to a Championship team won't get you on that plane! Smells like bullshite...

GingerrrFox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Personally I think he would be an exceptional signing. He's calmed down a lot since he left Manchester and I was told we enquired about him. He's young and is still maturing but was brilliant for Birmingham last season. If anyone can get him performing to match his talent it's Nigel.
kingcarr21 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 dont really rate him he scores one amazing goal and everyone jumps on the bandwagon that he is the next big thing and should be going to the world cup. QPR are welcome to him Pearson wont go anywhere near him
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 He does look like a very good technical player, but yeah, not worth the risk of disruption for us.
suffolk fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 This is absolute rubbish. He is not even training at the moment as he has a troublesome groin injury. The likelihood of him going anywhere is zero. Lazy journalism again, close thread.
Poznan34 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Last time I checked he'd got his act together and was doing well in the Prem?

DB11 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 No way NP would go for such a disruptive bad-influence player. See Wayne Brown, when he left him out of the play offs vs Cardiff when we'd likely have own with him in the team. He won't compromise the morale over ability
Banks Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Absolutely brilliant player. Seems to have calmed down since Man Utd days if he was to join us then it would be brilliant to have another creative player.
Howard9 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Dont need a player thats gonna be doing things like that on the pitch were a team that run on high spirits and this notion of togetherness on the training field and you dont want a guy like this on our pitch.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 He's a superb talent and I'd love to have him, only problem is his attitude.
breadandcheese Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Maybe next season, he'd be worth looking at, but right now there is no point potentially upsetting the balance of the side.
GingerrrFox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 I just had a day dream of a 4-2-3-1 formation with Ravel playing infront of Drinkwater and James in the Premiership. Beautiful.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 A Ravel Morrison, kept in check, would be a superb addition to a very good squad. Is it possible? Probably not...
BrummieFOX Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Unlikely Pearson would go for him because of his apparent bad attitude but he does look a good player. Seems more likely he'd go to QPR. Harry Redknapp is purely in football for himself and if he can score him a few goals, he'll be happy regardless of what he costs and does off the pitch.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Don't get this, thought he was playing for West Ham this season and tipped as a dark horse for the England world cup squad. If he goes QPR, I'll be pissed off because I hate Rednapp with a passion. All he does is signs who ever he can and spend stupid amount of money on players who are well known. Hasn't got the eye like Nigel and Shakey to actually spot talent and get the best out of them.

Pearson does seem to favour players who compliment the squad both as a player but also as a 'character'. If Pearson could control Morrison, however, he'd be good at this level.
