Bert Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 I agree. Pearson does seem to favour players who compliment the squad both as a player but also as a 'character'. If Pearson could control Morrison, however, he'd be good at this level. There's no doubting his talent. But as you've stated Pearson is very "pro squad" and that's the way he will always be. It's worked fine for now and if it's good enough for Nige then who are we to complain?
TJB-fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 One od the best young players in the country I would be absolutely astounded if he came here
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 There's no doubting his talent. But as you've stated Pearson is very "pro squad" and that's the way he will always be. It's worked fine for now and if it's good enough for Nige then who are we to complain? Spot on Bert. The bigger picture is always the most important thing at any club. I think this will continue if we get promoted. Nige will only sign the players that 'fit' even if, individually, they arent the most talented.
Corky Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 QPR are interested? I'm so shocked. He's a good player, triffic little player, lavvly balance, y'know, triffic ability. I'll talk to the chairman about it, hopefully something can be done, be a triffic addition to the squad, cracking little player.
Out Foxed Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 A lot of things to like about him just like a pack of revels. However you know that lurking in there somewhere is the coffee one.
Banks Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 If we got him then we may as well be confirmed as champions.
FoxG2 Posted 10 February 2014 Author Posted 10 February 2014 If we got him then we may as well be confirmed as champions.I agree it would be a massive signing, also it would piss Harry off big time
Leicesterpool Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 I seem to notice alot of London clubs seem to like to help each other out. Londoners stick together eh?
Happy Fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 NP very rarely goes for old bad egos, the likes of Danns, Gallagher etc, but with Ravel he is a young player and NP could improve his attitude because their is no doubting his ability, I think we may take a gamble on him.
FoxG2 Posted 10 February 2014 Author Posted 10 February 2014 Just watching Sky Sports, they think he might be going to sign for QPR, I expect it would easy for him to go to another London club
lgfualol Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 No thanks, we're fine as we are. QPR can sign him and increase their wage bill by something overthetop again. These people just include our name because of our position.
Simonb Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 id doubt we were in for him... but whats redknapp doing... thatrs now 5 loanees and you can only have 3 in a squad cant you? what a waste of money on wages and loan fees
dayday Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Would he not be quite pally with Drinks,James and De leat from his Man U days
Fox92 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 A good player, no doubt about that, but I question his attitude. I saw Allardyce say he needs match fitness after his injury so he might end up somewhere on loan, probably QPR, regardless of whether they actually want him or not.
Narborough_fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Gets dropped by West Ham and they start winning. I don't think it's a coincidence, either. He's not even been that good either? Granted he scored a heck of a goal against Spurs but apart from that I can't think of anything particularly special that he's done. He may have settled down a bit but if SAF releases him because he can't control him then I don't want him anywhere near a squad that is riding high at the top of the league. On a side note, so many better young English players who can play in the same position, especially Ross Barkley.

The team who's identity is put a long ball on Andy Carroll's head and play off the knock down. They've got better because Carroll's fit again.
Buzzell Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 QPR are interested? I'm so shocked. Surprised Forest ain't interested.
Native Fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Should be a limit to how many players QPR can sign, they're still rubbish mind.
Banks Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 As long as he doesn't join QPR I'll be happy. Would love us to sign him though.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Seems to have ironed out any temperament issues, going from that Allardyce interview a loan would be with a view to getting him fit rather than farming him out because he's being an arse. Surely he'd know James / Drinkwater / RDL as well? Could slot right in.* *I mean - NO THANKS HES PROBABLY RAPING A CAT RIGHT NOW THE WRONGUN
Samilktray Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I thought it was just his private life that was a problem in the past. Not heard anything about him being a problematic player football wise
Far Post Gerry Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I thought it was just his private life that was a problem in the past. Not heard anything about him being a problematic player football wise Alladyce doesn't sound too impressed with him in this BBC article (http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26120147) "Ravel is still complaining about the problem that's he had from before Christmas - that he's got a rumbling groin problem. Instead of gritting your teeth and getting on with it... he's not the type." I translate that to mean: "He's a whinging little shit who doesn't want to play". Skillful sure, but he doesn't sound like a man you'd want next to you in the trenches.
Dan Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 If he's so good then why are they loaning him out? They really aren't anything special and they're not in a position where they could be loaning out players who'll be of some use. Lets not bother. Been down that route enough times and it hardly ever works.
