Fraser Forster? (Celtic Goalkeeper)

Craig Gordon.... was considered VERY good, then basically shit-out at Sunderland. Injuries I believe.

Yep. Constant injuries cost him unfortunately.

With Moyes there I agree, Don't think any other top 6 club would be after him.

I still have nightmares from that £9m keeper from Scotland that Sunderland bought, Wow he was shite, he was tipped for big things wasn't he? :dunno:

Why would a Sunderland signing from years ago even remotely bother you?

Craig Gordon was a decent keeper, got a few bad injuries though, and never really recovered.

Why do you hate the internet, because other people have a different opinion to yours?

I`m sorry but that`s life i`m afraid, your opinion is as valid as anyone elses, but it does not have to be the only opinion that anyone can have.

My god if we all agreed with each other, the world might be more peacefull, but it would be boring as ****!

I don't mind a disagreement or someone with a well informed opinion, but that was just ignorant. Would anyone really take Conrad Logan over someone Barcelona fans and Marca magazine named "The Great Wall"?

This bloke is ****ing quality. He's like Kasper except better aerialy, with more big game experience. Quite a few of the Barca boys have spoken about him replacing Valdes too, like iniesta and Alves

I've not seen much of Forster. But I know he's currently playing in a mickey mouse division. Lets see him consistently up against some good opposition and then see if he's any improvement on Kasper. I still believe we should embrace that we have such a good keeper.

So many experts on here saying "he's rubbish" or "he's really good!" Who have only ever seen him play 3 times on tv....

From my experience he's a quality keeper, IMO better than schmeichel, however he's weak in the bottom corners, needs to improve his speed getting down to the ground, in the air he's one of the best around.

The England game is a typical example, quality header to concede, however he didn't get down quick enough, and his reactions were not good enough to anticipate it going down the bottom corner...

But from someone who sees him play fairly regularly he's a quality quality goalkeeper.

I watch Celtic 10-15 times a year and I am subscribed to Celtic tv.

IMO he's better than kasper, but also has a few limitations atm

That said, the job of a goalkeeper is not varied as much in a lower league than a outfield player...

As an outfield player if they are 25+ in league 2 you'd think they are at their level...

But a goalkeeper no matter what league he is in is normally tested most games... A league 2 player can score a goal just as good as a championship/premiership player...

See some of the crackers on motd and the fl show...

I've personally seen Forster make some absolutely stunning saves against lesser teams.

However I agree whether he can do it consistently is the question, but I wouldn't realistically take the league quality Into consideration...

Rooney can do magical things with a ball but the quality he has to pass to do it is higher...

So less chance of it happening.

It's not really massively relevant I know... But I'm probably more qualified to make an opinion on a player I've seen more than twice ;)

Some people on here are saying he's rubbish after watching him once in an England shirt which is amazing really

Really? :o

You must have a high boredom threshold.

I genuinely think i'd rather watch paint dry, but fair enough everyone's different, whatever floats your boat.

I always remember a few years ago getting quite excited and interested in an old-firm derby, it was awful, had to slap myself for getting excited/interested in it.

He is a great keeper.

For those saying he isnt tested enough in the SPL, he was Celtics best player in the Champions League.

This. It's all very well saying he's playing in a shite league, but he's put in some incredible performances against top teams. England's 2nd best keeper in my eyes.

Good keeper but imagine he'd cost us a lot of moolah. There are a lot of decent prospects about should Kasper decide to move on (hopefully he doesn't).

Some Nice saves.... Good enough for the premier ship IMO easily....

Just because he is in a poorer league makes no odds... All it means is he has a poorer team covering him, which normally results in more mistakes and more saves having to be made.

12 consecutive clean sheets is good for any keeper

Presuming we keep hold of Kasper if we get promoted, I doubt Pearson will be looking to pay much for a new goalkeeper.  He'll be loathe to disrupt the balance of the squad and with a few new faces already being a necessity (a left-back to replace Konch who's not getting any better at his age, at least one more CB to deputise for Moore & Morgan, and one more winger to solidify on the Knocky-Dyer-Mahrez trio), they'll surely be prioritised over a GK, CM or ST where we already have talented and hungry players, and where Nigel's more like to bring in an old-hand with Premiership experience on a free to provide cover, experience, and a stable dressing room - a GTF signing if you will.

If Kasper goes though, I can think of worse replacements than Forster.
