Devonfox1884 Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I think it will be 3-1 city, nugent (pen), vardy and dyer to bag. Will be surprised if we don't win the game, but you can't underestimate ipswich and the terrific job McCarthy has done there.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Ipswich are 5/1 to win. That's where my 10 quid bets gone
Deucalion Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/24679 Fantastic preview that.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I'm going to go for a 2-1 win for Leicester
Oxfordfox83 Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Fantastic preview that. Agreed, balanced and insightful. Only one poster talks about the money, and most talk of building a team, which is good. They seem a decent bunch TBF. Would be disappointed by anything less than a comfortable win, but we know nothing's easy in this league...

They seem a decent bunch TBF. Would be disappointed by anything less than a comfortable win, but we know nothing's easy in this league... The only time I have sat in the wrong end was at Ipswich. I had a girlfriend who was an Ipswich fan and I went with her. We were 1-0 down at the end of the first half and just before the whistle, Franz Carr (I think) scored from around 30 yards. I was determined not to draw attention to myself but instead kind of went into a spasm of half of me leaping up while the other half tried to be restrained while making gasping noises. Must've looked odd and pretty much drew attention to the fact I was a Leicester fan. Point being, the Ipswich fans were all very decent about it. Although, the 5 more goals Ipswich scored in the second half may have helped to calm their tempers !!
TJB-fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Schlupp did not 'boss' it at Watford. Anyone claiming this, go and watch the highlights please. He was good going forward, but he was caught out of position time and time again.[/quoteHis few defensive shortcomings were more than outweighed by his attacking contribution which resulted in a stonking win. Konch makes lots of bad mistakes that could have led to goals; you should judge him by the same yardstick. not really? Bar the mare he had at Leeds, hes generally been a 6/7 out of 10 player every week, which every team needs. Vitally experienced, I wouldn't want any other left back in the league apart from Aaron Cresswell.
norfolkfox222 Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 schlupp and dyer terrorised these lot down the left last year, id expect the same again!!
weller54 Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Dyer's due a good game..hope this is it!.. If not, get Mahrez on at halftime!!
ScouseFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 My first game of the season. If we lose I'm sorry.
CloudFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Me too ScouseFox. If we lose I'll take joint-responsibility.
ScouseFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I was a STH for years of failure and as soon as I stopped going we got good. I'm taking responsibility for that too not gonna lie.
Munshi Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Schlupp did not 'boss' it at Watford. Anyone claiming this, go and watch the highlights please. He was good going forward, but he was caught out of position time and time again. Personally, I think he did. Okay once or twice they attacked from the left side but that was because they saw him as the weak point. At home I believe we'll be more attacking and have more control of the ball so we won't be depending on to defend as much.

However, at home is the only time he should play left back! Not having a dig or anything but surely youve contradicted yourself? Saying that he bossed it but also that he was the weak link?

I'm saying Watford saw him as one so they attacked on his side more obviously making it more difficult. I get it yeah but at home Schlupp should play.
Raj Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Minutes applause for Len chalmers ex city payer. Any of the old boys know much about him?

Last year I found their commentary team very balanced and factual too, telling you simply and continuously what was happening on the pitch. As I am restricted to Foxes Player I will give them another go this afternoon - if it's the same commentary team I will find it much preferable to Stringer & ex-LCFC striker.
fuchsntf Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Ime going to bodge it up now..., I rate Ipswich and their manager, but unless city have another bad day, Ipswich will be off the pace. City 3 to 4 goals. Ipswich 0
