I blame Wellens Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Well done to everyone who decides to stay and applaud our boys off the pitch tomorrow. Crap atmosphere: part of modern football. No balti pies: I can live with that too. Birch at half time: bearable. However the 5000 odd who sheepishly get out of your seats and head for the exit before the final whistle, hang your head in shame. It's like buying a lovely bit of sirloin steak ( yes we used to be donner meat) and leaving the best bit. Don't care what your reason: from broken leg; got to catch a flight to sh@g Beyonce; the wife wants you to pick her up from Asda. You know the real reasons: want to get home to watch a you've been framed repeat or you just want to beat that bit of traffic to get home 10 minutes early. The wife can wait our boys in blue are doing us proud.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Couldn't give a toss what people think of me for leaving a few mins early. Its very rare as I usually make my way down the stand and stand elsewhere til FT, then disappear. However a month back I decided for every game I'd stop and applaud the boys off the pitch and savour every moment of the rest of the season. We don't have many seasons like this, why not fcukin lap it up?! I've been ripped by my mates for doing so- though after Barnsley Tuesday the lads in my car who stopped and clapped everyone off still managed to beat our mates in the other car who didn't stop by about 45mins My point is that everyone has their reasons for getting home. I've come to realise I've paid good money as a fan for a number of years so I'm gonna lap this up!
Bayfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Mate I have to shag my Beyoncé look a like wife.............. Whilst she has a broken leg and can't run off. But no I just don't get it. Why pay that kind of cash then feck off what really is that important at 4.40 that needs you to rush off. Infact I need not to rush off home in anything. Love those people who leave the cinema 10 mins before the end of a film....... Oh no that's right they don’t.
Illusion35 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Have never understood this at all and find it really annoying! Always stay until the final whistle. No idea why anyone wouldn't!
Weller in Tights Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I do not understand the early leavers. Do you leave a film 10 or 5 mins before the end?? NO YOU DON'T So don't leave a city game early!! Oh, you live in London?? Wel MOVE TO LEICESTER!!!!
DennisNedry Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Leaving 2 mins early (usually leave when the forth official shows added time) saves me 30 minutes in traffic. Yeah I miss the occasional goal (like Drinkwater v Watford) but over the course of a season it saves me about 10 hours in traffic.

Leicesterpool Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Ain't we discussed this topic before? I personally on a 3pm day, i have to leave around 16:46 as my train back to Nunny leaves at 17:16 and takes around half an hour to walk to the station. That's the main reason why i leave early transport, plus sometimes mainly away games it takes forever to leave! QPR this season wasn't the longest I've ever waited to leave a ground, it took nearly 15 minutes after the final whistle to get out of the ground! On the final day of the season don't worry i'll be there to clap them off the pitch and watch them lift the cup!

SO WHAT??You have to be going home to the best shag in The history of humanity to justify missing just one goal
FrankieADZ Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Do it myself sometimes; everyone has there reasons for leaving early, personally i dont mind if they do or not, can think of more annoying things about LCFC "fans" and all that....kinda like the ones suddenly appearing now we are doing well being 1.

I'd happily spend ten hours in traffic in order to have witnessed Danny's goal.
Donut Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Some people show up 5 mins late so you have to get out of their way so they can find their seat. Theyre usually obese or thick. Then those who go downstairs at half time early to beat a queue to get a pint of watered down crap lager while watching a TV screen (when paying for a ****ing ticket to watch it for real not Jeff Stelling) Then youre shifted again after half time by twats oblivious that half time has always lasted 15 mins. And then people leave before the end, without care for missing a part of the game where a large proportion of goals are scored.
bovril Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I've only done it once, and that was Charlton away in 2007. I would happily sit in 10 hours of traffic to see a last minute winner.
davieG Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 What about the fans that go down to the concourse 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes and sometimes more before half time. One of my son's mates does it to get a coffee. Nevrr understood it.
TrentFox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Anyone found leaving early should have their season-ticket revoked, face a life-long ban and their children should be subjected to relentless taunts and bullying. I'd like to think I represent the moderate majority in this matter. That is all I have it say on this subject

Sorry but 'everyone has their reasons for leaving early' ? Like what? I do not understand. For example, tomorrow 4:50pm. On a Saturday, what is so pressing that you MUST leave at 4:45pm to get to ??? What?? The only excuse must be ??!!!?? Well lets be honest. something amazing on the sexual scale.

Nevrr understood it. why doesn't he just take his own. nicer coffee, cheaper and you don't even have to move. i left a few minutes early once, mill at home under sven (0-3) to get the early train and piss off back home and pretend the whole sorry show hadn't happened.
cambridgefox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I was in Chelsea a couple of weeks ago and decided to walk past the ground. They had kicked off 10 /15 mins when I went past and there were hundreds strolling into the ground not rushing. Now that IMO is worse,I stay to the end when I go,however I did leave Brighton away when the 4th official put his board up.Losing, shit atmosphere, park and ride bus can be a 30 min wait and the same when your at the park and ride site and as the Mrs was away I had to pick my kids up.

Well I know someone who had their flask confiscated and never got it back, this was about 4/5 years ago when Barclay was doing his worst.
Guesty Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I really don't get the fuss about people leaving a little early unless it's a close game or it's before the 87th min - but even then people might have there reasons. I stay if the scores close but if it isn't I just walk down on the 90/92 min and watch the rest on the tv - saves queuing to get out the ground and in traffic.
