Does anybody know Nigel's overall record as a Leicester manager including his first stint.

Yeah, he's the best manager we've had outside the top tier.

We've lost 59 under Pearson? It's been that long, I forgot what losing was like. In fact I'm not sure it's ever happened anymore.

In almost 40 years of following the club, I can only think of 5 managers who had a positive and lasting impact on the club.

Jock Wallace - motivated the players even though none of them could understand a word he was saying

Gordon Milne - took us up, kept us up and balanced the books at the same time

Brian Little - took over at the club's lowest ebb and turned it round straight away

Martin O'Neill - actually won us trophies, something I never thought I'd live to see

Nigel Pearson - old-school, second spell and a promotion in each

Maybe an honourable mention for Gordon Lee, the caretaker who kept us in Div 2 when all seemed lost.

The rest have been mainly chancers, wasters, talkers, has-beens and never-was-beens. The worst by far was Holloway. I really he hope he takes Millwall down.

No one will ever be worse than David Pleat but agree with everything else you said

In between O'neill and Pearson the only one who has done any good is Micky Adams. With all that club was going through he managed to get us up with a relatively poor squad

Sven was the worst, followed by Peter Taylor.

Holloway didn't stand a chance of keeping us up. We were already doomed and had been heading that way for a few seasons. It was the best thing for us anyway

I also still have a lot of time for Micky Adams.

The thing about these stats is: Pearson has won more games than draws and losses put together. That's pretty damned incredible.

Mickey Adams did well but used to kill us with those late substitutions he always seemed to make- he used to create havoc in our defence in the dying minutes of games by subbing them off! Middlesborough away and Wolves away are painful memories

NO!!!!!

Peter Taylor & Frank McLintock are the worst 2 managers we've ever had by some dstance.

Got to agree Micky Adams did a good job and a genuine guy !

Initially, but he set us back years when he put together the oldest squad in the clubs history.

Complete rubbish. We were outside the relegation zone (in about 18th-ish?) when he took over in November and he spent a good £2 or 3 million in the January transfer window.

It was a travesty to get us relegated from the position we were in and the money he had the privilege of spending. I remember when he was manager constantly baffled at some of his absurd tactics, substitutions and team selection.

He went and did well with Blackpool afterwards and had mixed results with Palace and Millwall, but make no mistake, he did an absolutely horrendous job while manager here.

He hasn't had mixed results at Palace or Milwall, he's been woeful at both.

We were skint though, he made about 11 or 12 signings when we went up all with a total transfer spending of less than £1mil. All he could really do was acquire cheap veterens who weren't considered good enough any more.

I actually enjoyed 03-04, we gave staying up a bloody good go despite not having any money and it's just a shame we conceded so many late goals else we'll have stayed up.

Then we hounded him out for being about 10th in the Championship the season afterwards. Hindsight, eh?

Then Craig Levein set us back years by thinking the SPL was a better quality than the Championship and signiing all these awful Scottish players.
