A) I agree

B) I have just tried going directly and I'm in a queue

Ah fair enough, it was working earlier. Clearly they've stamped that out.

they think it generates hype but really the fanbase who buy shirts isn't going to want to buy one more because of waiting, they want it for the summer like someone on here said

Well that sneak preview was well worth the wait really surprised to see Premier League badges on a blue sleeve

What happened to discount for STH as well and I agree with what people are saying you aren't going to order something u don't know what it looks like

The company that runs the website is rubbish, or maybe we need to buy more bandwidth with them?

Clearly, when they send out an email to a list, they can assume xx% of recipients are going to click on it to see a glimpse of the new kit. And when they post it on Facebook they can assume another xx% of followers will also click.

Add those numbers together and ensure you have enough bandwidth to not annoy your fans!

The release date was decided a couple of months ago and we know how the club love a tease and plus it seems to works

The website is currently unable to handle all the people wanting to buy

You and others might not get it but this is actually a good marketing ploy

I work in marketing - this is clearly a disappointing campaign so far. To release a picture of the sleeve with a PL badge on it is not the best strategy for generating the hype.

They should have just announced the launch date and not included the silly pre-order. Of course there will always be those fans who will buy regardless of price and appearance, but to get the masses excited? It's not exactly ideal.

A defined schedule of teasers should be in place to add excitement to the whole process, not just a statement saying "unveiled on 19th July"... that's not getting the fans' pants wet!

But it is generating hype people like us are talking about it

What's so silly about pre-ordering its been a common practice for years

How do you know there isn't a defined schedule of teasers

Can already tell from that 'preview' that the sleeves are gonna be too big and baggy.

Surely that can't be the shirt, far too baggy.

I'm Intrigued on how you can tell from that picture

I feel it unlikely I'll pre-order myself a short sleeved shirt for the winter which may not fit and I might not like.

There is no way that is the actual shirt in the picture. It isn't football shirt material for starters. Looks like a premier league badge stuck on a really cheap shitty blue polo shirt or t-shirt

This hype is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year! There's no explosion of "WOW"s or people declaring that they're going to buy the shirt/pre-order.

In marketing, especially sports marketing they need to be more creative! They've used their Kasabian connection for the hashtag, so maybe they should have let Serge wear it for part of their Leicester concert/Glasto.

The silly thing about THIS particular pre-order is, you've not seen the product. So why should they expect people to pre-order it? Normally you preview the kit, then open for pre-order.

I don't know if there is a defined schedule of teasers or not, but IMO they've not hinted at it (to create hype).

I think it is. On the version on the LCFC Direct homepage, you can see the ghosted remains of the badge in the top left, which they've rather poorly tried to hide. You can see it has gold trim around it, which none of the training wear does.

Also, I suspect the reason they aren't unveiling it now is because they've yet to have the players available for a photoshoot.

I have never seen a football shirt made out of that material. Surely would be too hot to play in. More like a training polo

Agree with Ricey about the shirt part, you can clearly see where the badge has been edited out for the picture
