jammie82uk Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 This hype is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year! There's no explosion of "WOW"s or people declaring that they're going to buy the shirt/pre-order. In marketing, especially sports marketing they need to be more creative! They've used their Kasabian connection for the hashtag, so maybe they should have let Serge wear it for part of their Leicester concert/Glasto. The silly thing about THIS particular pre-order is, you've not seen the product. So why should they expect people to pre-order it? Normally you preview the kit, then open for pre-order. I don't know if there is a defined schedule of teasers or not, but IMO they've not hinted at it (to create hype). Is there normally an explosion of "WOW"S I can't say I've seen any for our club or for any other in that matter Could have been a good idea but as they decided on the release date a couple of months ago it could be seen as being to long a gap between seeing and buying I don't think it is silly It is also common to have not seen the product before ordering in other sectors for example Xbox/playstation games which people are quite happy to spend money so why can't it be applied here
jammie82uk Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I don't think we're looking at the same picture. Well unless there is a second photo I just don't see how you can tell

Jace Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 First photos leaked... Kingy.... I thought it was Les-tuh?
Brooksy Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Well unless there is a second photo I just don't see how you can tell You must be joking.
RonnieTodger Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 You could see the reason for a wait if we had a bespoke design, but we'll just be fobbed off with the same template as any other team. Not that I'll buy it unless it's an absolute belter, anyway.
Matt Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I have never seen a football shirt made out of that material. Surely would be too hot to play in. More like a training polo The 2009(?) England shirt? Which I loved because I hate football shirt material, makes me sweat like mad, without even doing anything to give reason for sweating, loved that England shirt. I'm just watching the France v Germany game, the French shirt looks abit 'polo shirty' too, can't really tell though. Also I think Man City had a polo shirt type material once. I'd welcome a polo shirt material very much.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Next season the players will just be in pants and boots at the beginning while the kit comes out November time they get a square of blue polo-shirt added to them when the sneak peek is put up!
VLC86 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Can already tell from that 'preview' that the sleeves are gonna be too big and baggy. Well let's be honest the kit needs a bit of give around the elbow region for Wasyl
Dan Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Bloody hell we really are on a level of our own for some of the bizarre marketing when it comes to kits. Pre-order a shirt that we haven't even seen? I can't see there being much buzz over a blue version of Burnley/Wolves' template anyway.
Craig Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 If it's that template and the collar is blue then it will probably be the nicest kit we've had in years. If not, it could look awful.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 My wife couldn't give a toss and is ordering me one whatever.
VLC86 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 My wife couldn't give a toss and is ordering me one whatever. She is getting you a shirt instead of giving you a toss? bad deal mate!
fatmando Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Do we reckon pre-ordering now means you'll get on release date and therefore your one of the first to get or will they will actually post it to you on release date?
jammie82uk Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Do we reckon pre-ordering now means you'll get on release date and therefore your one of the first to get or will they will actually post it to you on release date? If like the DVD they will post it that day
StanSP Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Why would you want to buy it on pre-order anyway? It'll e on sale throughout the season and are people really that desperate to get a kit they have no idea how it looks?
65RosesFox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I can see it already. People who pre-order it will receive there's a week later than the release date because of 'unfortunate delays' as Leicester City did not amticipate more than three people pre-ordering!
MC Prussian Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Do we reckon pre-ordering now means you'll get on release date and therefore your one of the first to get or will they will actually post it to you on release date? It means you can already pre-order the release date.
lifted*fox Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 #canyoufeelitcoming Really Leicester City marketing team, really? Sounds like bad bedroom talk FFS.
