Bert Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper 7 - Dealt well with some dangerous set pieces, commanding. RDL 7 - As solid and consistent as we've come to expect. Schlupp 7 - Decent going forward and dealt with anything he had to at the back. Hope his injury isn't serious. Morgan 7 - Rarely troubled. Wasyl 7 - Won pretty much everything in the air. Hammond 7 - Protected the back 4 really well. King 8 - Thought he was class. The Andy King of old. Perhaps should've scored but I thought he was brilliant today. Drinkwater 7 - Nice assist for the goal. Seemed a bit short of space but was still vital to the way we played. Mahrez 7 - Class when he runs directly at defenders. He'll be a key player for us next season. Knocky 6 - Overall he wasn't bad. But recently he's seemed to just want to try and do too much or that little bit extra which is annoying. Tried skinning someone in our box which could've lead to a goal. Nuge 8 - His best game for a while, capped off with a wonderful finish. Subs - Although none of them had any great effect on the game we are just a much better team when James plays.
Jimmy Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper 7 much better dealing with the corners today, assertive and took control De Laet 6 solid Wasyl 6 coped with Maiga well Morgan 6 as above Schlupp 6 along with De Laet both missed a lot of chances to overlap and attack like they did all season so both docked a mark Drinkwater 7 King 7 Hammond 6 Mahrez 7 Nugent 7 Knocky 6 not in the game too much and sloppy at times when he was James 7 turned to midfield in our favour when he came on Dyer 5 don't really remember much of what he did Moore n/a
peterborofox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 All 7s, but 6 for Knocky. Just a solid game from everyone
sdb Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 No one blew me away today. Knocky had an off day. Lots of 7's i reckon.
Guest Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper 7 De Laet 7 Wes 6.5 Was 6.5 Schlupp 6.5 Drinky 7.5 Hammond 6.5 King 6.5 Mahrez 7 Knocky 6.5 Nuge 7.5 James 6.5 Dyer 5
Tuna Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 How on earth were we able to get Mahrez? To find him and sign him for what (500k?) without bigger clubs noticing? Amazing.
One Legged Beaver Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper 7- Stepped up for set pieces today and for the first time in a while I started to feel confident towards the end when they were whipped in. De Laet 7 - Solid performance and got forward well a few times, crossing could be improved though. Wasyl 8 - Defensively sound and I don't think they managed to split us down the middle once. Wes 8 - See Wasyl Schlupp 6 - By no means bad but appeared to be pressed high up the pitch and didn't look too comfortable with it. Drinkwater 8 - Found it hard in the first 30 minutes but then took a grip of the game after that and was involved in most of the attacking moves topped with a fine assist. Hammond 7 - Unspectacular but efficient, kept things ticking and broke up play fairly well. Mahrez 7 - Some clever runs and through balls and could have won a penalty. Could perhaps have passed it more rather than shooting around the box though. King 8 - Linked the attackers and midfield well in the number 10 role but for heavens sake just drill in it after you've rounded the keeper! Knockaert 5 - Man marked by Karl Henry and don't think he had the beating of him once, pretty disappointing performance. Nugent 9 - Fantastic lone striker's performance, held the ball up well, hassled the defence all game and a composed finish from a difficult angle. James - Look a much better side when he's playing and he should be key for us next season. Dyer - Struggled to have much impact on the game and needs to use his pace more often. Moore - Didn't have much to do.

kingcarr21 Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 I thought Schluup was nowhere near his best today. Very frustrating performance from him. Thought Nugent ran his socks off today.
Stuliasz Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Think there are some harsh ratings in there. Thought we did well today. Not at our best but when we had our spells in possession, we always looked threatening. Schmeichel 7 - far more commanding aerially than of late De Laet 7 - defended well, not able to get forward as often as he'd like Wes 7 - reasonably solid Was 7 - as Wes Schlupp 6 - a bit too complacent in possession at times, but better defensively than recently Hammond 7 - the type of performance for which he was signed, allowed Drinky and King more room going forward Drinkwater 8 - at the heart of most of our attacking play and a sublime assist for the goal King 7.5 - much better in an attacking role, supported Nuge well Mahrez 8 - great to watch him running with the ball, always a threat, but needs to cut out the theatrics or he'll get a reputation Knockaert 5 - immensely frustrating, he needs to start releasing the ball earlier and limiting how often he tries to take on the entire opposition Nuge 9 - ran his socks off, held up play brilliantly, brought the midfield into play time and time again -- Dyer 6 - mostly ineffective James 7 - a touch rusty but did the same job that Hammond had been doing before they swapped Moore N/A
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Agree with almost all of your ratings Bert apart from King, I thought he gave the ball away a little bit too much but apart from that good all-round! Loved Wasyl's rugby tackle on their centre half with about 5 minutes to go
steveherbe Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Wont rate them all, just a few comments. Hammond was very good, he can play that role. Kingy can also do the no. 10 role behind the lone striker, bloody excellent today. Knocky was a bit frustrating, but would rather have him playing 46 games for us rather than 2 games against us for someone else. Nuge was bloody good, his link play is second to none. And then we have Riyad. Oh, what a player, reminds me of the great Keith Weller. As someone said earlier, how we got him for that ridiculous price I will never know. Just hope we can hold on to him. Would I swap him for gareth bale? Well, would you? Finally us lot. The whole ground standing up and singing, bloody amazing. Saw west standers on their feet, arms out, giving it everything. Way to go lads, top effort. Finally finally, great to see basingstokefox yet again, and to have a half time chat with soup nazi and emma. And to bump into my cousin yet again, last seen at the bournemouth away game.
XLM Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 How on earth were we able to get Mahrez? To find him and sign him for what (500k?) without bigger clubs noticing? Amazing. Remember how underwhelmed and uninspired we were when we saw his record on Wikipedia, and the single youtube clip of him looking bang average? Incredible scouting from the staff at Leicester.

dmayne7 Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper - 7. Excellent command of the box today. De Laet - 8. He was excellent today. Looking like he's found some form again. Morgan - 7. Back to business. Was - 7. Solid. Got to love the man. Schlupp - 7. Nice and tidy. Hammond - 7. - Did a good job. Drinky - 7. Cracking pass for the goal. Eye of a needle. King - 6. Did some excellent things with his usual off the ball running and made some lovely passes but it was probably the most error-strewn performance that I've seen from him. Was quite sloppy with certain parts of his game. Still, I think he showed that with a bit of practice, he'd be very good in the role just off the striker. Knocky - 6. Use your right foot! Not quite in full confidence at the moment shown by him needing an extra touch. Mahrez - 7. All the ingredients of a top player. The way he went down easily certainly counted against him for some decisions. Nugent - 9. Brilliant. Led the line so well. Ridiculous engine but he combined that with some very intelligent play, excellent link up and won a lot in the air. His goal was class; determination mixed with a cracking finish. Subs: James - 7. He's the man long-term. I've actually been a tad disappointed with him this season just because I rate him so highly. Touch is sublime and did a job on 'Ravel' when he was on. Dyer - 6. Did he play? He's lost his mojo. Moore - 6. Steady. Officials - 1. So bad.
MGLCFC Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper - 7 thought he showed greater commitment today and dealt with crosses much better RDL - 7.5 Good all round performance - needs to do the simple things some times though like putting the ball into row Z Was - 8 great display - strong, attacked the ball from defensive corners - just so much in the 'Foxes never quit' mould Wes - 7 - Much more the old Wes today Schlupp - 7 Thought he had a decent game - learning curve is steep, but is developing well Hammond - 7.5 In a 3 man midfield showed how effective he can be. DD 8 - Slow start, but what a player - great energy - player of the season for me King - 7.5 - much better when he has the freedom to get in an advanced position. A few dodgy passes, but lack of pitch time maybe the reason Mahrez 8 - So comfortable on the ball - I still say it was a penalty - you could hear the contact in the ground - maybe not intentional, but he had his ankle clipped by O'Neill Knockaert 6 - not his best game, but tries so hard for the team Nugent 9 Absolutely top drawer. Ran and ran and ran and took his chance so well. Subs James 7 Top player, great composure Dyer - 5 lost it at present, but had a good season Moore N/A did a job NP - good substitutions - scored within a minute of James and Dyer coning on
RobHawk Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Thought Was had an absolute blinder today! Was so solid in the air and on the deck. Made some great interceptions, just by reading the game so well and put his body on the line to make some great blocks. At one point he blocked a shot, got up and blocked the rebound too. Absolute hero!
BoyJones Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Kasper 8 RDL 7 Was 9 Wes 7 Schlupp 7 Hammond 7 DD 9 Kingy 6 Mahrez 8 Knocky 6 Nugget 9 For me Was, Drinky and Nugent were excellent today, made the odd error, but they were in control of their areas of the pitch. Though least effective were the two K's, but nevertheless they did a lot of running and closing down, definitely contributed to the overall victory.
weller54 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 All 7's, apart from Nuge 9!.. And 2 for Dyer when he came on.. He looks like a player resigned to being sold!..
foxesfan98 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Schmeichel - 7 De Laet - 7 Morgan - 7 Wasilewski - 7 Schlupp - 7 Mahrez - 7 Hammond - 7 Drinkwater - 8 King - 8 Knockaert - 7 Nugent - 8
Dickov22 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 From a bar in sunny Majorca.... Kasper 7 Untroubled De Laet 7 Solid game Morgan 7.5 Dominant Wasilewki 7 Few silly fouls but otherwise solid Schlupp 6.5 Gave the ball away a few times but decent enough. Much better than Monday night Knockaert 7 Everywhere as usual Drinkwater 8.5 MOTM for me King 7.5 unlucky not to score, confident performance Hammond 7.5 Been impressed with him. Does a specific job really well. Solid Mahrez 8 What a player we have here! Nugent 8.5 The determination he showed for the goal was magnificent. Worked hard all game Matty James was top drawer when he came one too. We look better with him in the side Thought it was one of the best games of football I've seen us involved in for a while. Two teams playing football the way it should be played.
Daz93 Posted 20 April 2014 Posted 20 April 2014 Kasper 8 - Some great saves, the goal mouth scramble he made two great ones. One even saved Wes some embarrassment! De Laet 7.5 - Has got surprisingly good in the air, was steady all game. Some fantastic last ditch tackles going in. Wasyl 7 - Such a beast, but he needs to be more careful with how he bundles into players. Wes 7.5 - Standard, solid Wes. Schlupp 7 - Reasonable game until going off. Hammond 7 - Better than usual in the 3 man midfield, but I still don't really rate him. Drinkwater 8 - Great as usual, really drives the team now and his through ball for Nuge's goal was perfection. King 7.5 - Very good game, proves he can do the job behind the striker in this formation. So unlucky not to score! First didn't sit up at a good height and he had to take it quickly, second he just didn't get enough power on it from a tight angle. Knockaert 7 - Gave everything, suffered from QPR's tight formation. Mahrez 8 - Brilliant. Just glides past players and he's so deceptively strong. Has that excellent quality of riding challenges. Nugent 8 - Led the line amazingly well. Came short, ran in behind, linked up with his team mates. Perfect solo-striker display. James 7 - Made such a difference coming on. He covers so much ground and just has that knack of winning 50-50s. The difference in our game before and after he came on shows how big a part he's played this season. Dyer 5 - Didn't do anything. Moore 6 - Came on.
