Leonardo Ulloa (Brighton) - Bid accepted

I mean, come on, coming to us with perfected bids then what do you expect. 4 or 5 bids and increases of £500k is insulting when you've hit the jackpot. We don't need the money and want to reach the premiership ourselfs and we'll not do that by selling our best players.

Good luck in finding someone like Ulloa. You'll be paying more than £5m for whoever.

Good luck to you, now bugger off!

Thank god for that!

He aint that special and not worth 5million in my eyes.

Move on.

Well lucky for us it doesn't matter how things look in your eyes.

This isn't meant as a personal attack on you mate.  It's directed to all those "know it alls" who think we should just move on.  If this player has been identified as a player that the management team wants then we should do all that we can, within the financial parameters laid down by those within the club, to get him.

We'll happily pay £10 million for a player, if they are worth that. Ulloa is worth nowhere near that and you've been a right load of Norris's turning down £5 million as he's not worth that either!!! We've dodged a bullet there, even if I do think he's half decent. Not worth the gamble in our position.

Palace offered us £5m last season and if we turned them down, then do you honestly think we'll say 'yes' to you for the same price?

I'd heard you were losing money so I thought you'd at least take the £5 million offered after you missed out on promotion. To be fair he's worth more to you than us as you're in the boat we were last summer. We had Kasper and Wes Morgan both in their final year of their contract and we turned down a few million for them each. I thought it was a big gamble, but it paid off.

We need proven quality which costs a lot or potential for much cheaper. Ulloa falls in to neither of those for me as he's 28 and would cost is a sizeable amount that could put him under pressure and flop.

Think you will find most people in this site are not 100% set on Ulloa.

Who else thought Ulloa was a main target for our new up and coming prem team?

Not many I would guess.

Brighton are trying to hold us to ransom because we have had a much better season than theirs.

Ulloa is still unproven in the prem so is not going to be worth top dollar to a prem team.

Lucky enough for Brighton they are a Championship outfit.

I bet you must think thank god posters aren't running the club and the playing side. If your manager thinks a certain player fits into his plans and will be a good addition and will benifit the squad then they should be supported.

Yes, and if our manager decides that a player isn't worth over £5m (which he isn't) then we will support his decision. We're not going to chuck you a couple of extra pound notes because you need the cash for your premiership campaign.

Yeah you would think.

This is Leicester mate. When our manager decides he wants a player half the fan base takes to Twitter to tell him why he's clueless. It's a club tradition by now.

It's nothing personal it would be the same if we were after Messi.

Vardy, Nugent and Wood must be worth £10m each in your world.

I understand. Anyway, seems like I've outstayed my welcome. Have a good weekend and forget about footy as that's what I'm doing till Monday and will spend another week wondering who our next manager will be.

All the best.

Really? I won't post you're quotes but you've totally gone over board, no need for it.

I replied to the banter your fans were giving me and then you lot got the mardies and banned me

Good luck next season, whoever your manager maybe.

I like Ulloa, he impressed me when you beat us 4-1 earlier this season. I'm just not sure he's worth £5million.

No they are not.  They are trying to get the best price for an asset that they own and we want.  It's got nothing to do with who had a better season.  It's basic bartering technique.

You sound like a Brighton fan in disguise to me!

No I'm a Leicester fan.  But they are doing nothing that we wouldn't do if one of our assets was wanted by another club.  Let's say that Derby wanted one of our players - would we say. "ok we won't try and get as much money as possible for that asset because you had a worse season than us"?.  No is the answer.  If we were willing to sell at all we would seek the best price regardless of who it was who wanted the asset.

We can afford to pay more than £5M, as fans, we didn't want to pay more for your chump.

Bizzle ma nizzle.

There is holding out for a sensible price Yes,

This is more like taking the piss and with a over valuation for a mediocre player.
