Billy Jones - Gone to Sunderland

According to BBC WM , we've put an offer in for him from WBA.

Edit

Not an offer, on a free because his contracts up and he doesn't want to renew with West Brom

This lad is is very competent at RB and has been one of West Brom's better players over the past 3 seasons.

Would be good competition for De Laet and vice versa.

Up until this season, West Brom had a very good defensive record. He's by no means crap at all and has proven himself to be decent at this level, i'd definitely take him as a squad player.

I'm always for the idea of versatile players. Decent option to have, especially from the bench. Always liked Jones, another product of Crewe's academy I believe, and he could be a decent squad player.

The exact player you want as a squad player. Versatile and very competent. May not be the flashiest signing but an important one nonetheless. Happy with him as back up

Their fans seem a bit annoyed which is a good sign. Very good on the attack, bit a bit injury prone, and a few saying a bit suspect in defence... So another De Laet then.

I always got the impression he was the opposite. Reliable and committed but lacks quality.

I seem to remember a link to him before he went west brom.

Got a friend who's a West Brom fan, says he's a very reliable defender. One of their better players. Would really like him here, De Laet at home and Jones who's more defensive on our travels.

I'd say Jones at present is better than De Laet. Don't get me wrong I love De Laet but he does have a tendency to do something completely brain dead, and sometimes completely balls up non threatening situations, such as Watford's second at our place. He needs a bit of competition to keep him on his toes as Moore doesn't provide that at RB, especially in the premier league.
