yorkie1999 Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 According to BBC WM , we've put an offer in for him from WBA. Edit Not an offer, on a free because his contracts up and he doesn't want to renew with West Brom
One Legged Beaver Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Hmmmm wouldn't say he's better than what we have already.
Tom17LCFC Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Fairly versatile isn't he?? Could be an alright signing.
Happy Fox Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 This lad is is very competent at RB and has been one of West Brom's better players over the past 3 seasons. Would be good competition for De Laet and vice versa.
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Up until this season, West Brom had a very good defensive record. He's by no means crap at all and has proven himself to be decent at this level, i'd definitely take him as a squad player.
Fox92 Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 I'm always for the idea of versatile players. Decent option to have, especially from the bench. Always liked Jones, another product of Crewe's academy I believe, and he could be a decent squad player.
cjslcfc Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 The exact player you want as a squad player. Versatile and very competent. May not be the flashiest signing but an important one nonetheless. Happy with him as back up
LeicesterBran Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 We need a back up right back and I'd say he fits the bill. Plus he is a versatile defender.
Babylon Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Their fans seem a bit annoyed which is a good sign. Very good on the attack, bit a bit injury prone, and a few saying a bit suspect in defence... So another De Laet then.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Their fans seem a bit annoyed which is a good sign. Very good on the attack, bit a bit injury prone, and a few saying a bit suspect in defence... So another De Laet then. I always got the impression he was the opposite. Reliable and committed but lacks quality. I seem to remember a link to him before he went west brom.
Simonb Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 Decent bsck up and can cover other roles which is vital in the prem and is the way most of our squad are.. would fitin nicely
Banks Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Got a friend who's a West Brom fan, says he's a very reliable defender. One of their better players. Would really like him here, De Laet at home and Jones who's more defensive on our travels.
Callabinho Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 I'd say Jones at present is better than De Laet. Don't get me wrong I love De Laet but he does have a tendency to do something completely brain dead, and sometimes completely balls up non threatening situations, such as Watford's second at our place. He needs a bit of competition to keep him on his toes as Moore doesn't provide that at RB, especially in the premier league.
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 Another player on our radar with a Crewe Alexandra background. Interesting.
Father Ted Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 Would be a steady signing on a free and competent at RB and CB I believe. I'd be happy with this.
