Happy Fox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Wasilewski Signs New Contract Posted: Thu 22 May 2014 Author: Leicester City Marcin Wasilewski Image by: Plumb Images Defender Marcin Wasilewski has signed a new one-year deal with the Club until the end of the 2014/15 Premier League season. The 33-year-old has appeared 35 times for the Foxes since joining on a free transfer in September 2013, following a trophy-laden six-year spell with Belgian giants Anderlecht. A Poland international with 60 caps to his name, Wasilewski’s experience and presence at the heart of City’s defence this season helped the Club secure promotion with six games to spare as well as clinching the league title. Wasilewski, who can also play at right-back, has proved to be a popular figure among City fans since his arrival, and has even had large contingents of Anderlecht fans travel to King Power Stadium to support him on several occasions throughout the season. MC Prussian Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Cue the signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak... MAKE IT HAPPEN!
billyn88 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Great news but I went to Brighton away and I can say the below claim is tenuous at best... Wasilewski, who can also play at right-back
Ashley Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/95183-marcin-wasilewski/ I posted this. HASHTAGITK
LCFC31 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Brilliant news. Will probably be backup next season, but a very good replacement if someone gets injured/suspended.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Can't wait to see him walk up to the camera with his scary match face when we are on TV.
LCCFox96 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Good move. Earned his deal and his experience on and off the pitch could be vital. Pleased with this. But if he goes next season without being sent off I will be very surprised.
LeicesterBran Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Good news to hear . He can be a decent player for us in the PL despite his lack of pace and will be a good rotation option to have. Plus the Anderlecht supporters will probably come again next season.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Delighted with this. Key reason for the success in the second half of the season and on a personal not for Wasyl he's realising his dream of playing in the Premier League.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 He's the only bloke in the squad I reckon I couldn't have
Lionator Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 On the same day that this news comes out, Suarez reveals a mystery knee injury.
Rusko187 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Get in! His name will be on the back of my shirt next season........... if it's on offer!
