Who will we most want to beat?

Stoke more so because of our relegation i guess, because I don't really consider villa a threat

Which team will I hate more than any other, I think others can answer that for me.

 

I think it's generally considered 'cool' and 'right' to go with the grain in hating Hull, Stoke, QPR and another 1 or 2 perhaps on here though.

We won't have any rival or derby.

 

We'll just play 19 other teams that I'm sure we'll have a great desire to beat. We don't need to invent some sort of rivalry, we don't have one with a Premier League team.

 

Personally I'd love to beat Chelsea most of all,

Think the games against Stoke and Villa should be decent. I can't see WBA being any more than a normal game though.

 

As for all the 'Chelsea rivalry' stuff - aren't we just kidding ourselves a little bit? I mean sure, there may have been some sort of antagonism between a small number of hooligans from either side thirty years ago, but that's hardly a basis for a real football rivalry. It wouldn't surprise me if a majortiy of their fans who are under 30 barely know who were are.

Chelsea - there are a few of their fans in the city.

This, outside the midlands these have been our biggest rivals for years for me, they hate us and even mention us in chants

Chelsea and Stoke spring to mind. Villa would seem logical. I'd love to embarrass Dyche by destroying Burnley home and away too.

i'd be more pleased to see burnley fúck it all up than anyone else. 

 

we just won't have a local derby for a year though. every other team who goes up or down without their derbies just doesn't have one for a bit. no point trying to create a fake rivalry, did norwich? did celtic? did swansea before cardiff arrived? etc etc.

Chelsea don't care. I've checked a couple of threads on their forum and most of them don't know about it or aren't bothered at all. We just won't have one but we'll probably take a few down to Villa.

We don't have any. Nothing wrong with that at all. Hopefully a few seasons in the premiership and a rivalry will grow between us and someone else, but for now, we've been gone far too long for anyone to be that bothered about us.

For me it will probably be West Brom and Newcastle. I wouldn't say we'll really have any rivalries though, bar maybe Stoke and a very tame one with Hull.
