Surely Derby going up would have been more beneficial to us?

Just reading through alot of the comments etc how they are glad derby lost.

Surely it would be better for us then QPR going up.

I understand the whole local rivalry thing.

But QPR have alot more buying power and influence over potential players coming in then derby.

For me that means QPR have alot more chance of staying up then derby would of. which means one less space filled in the bottom three.

Thoughts?

Completely disagree. Derby seem to have sensible owners and a slightly more sensible manager. QPR will spend money, but they've already proved that doesn't ensure safety. I honestly believe Derby would have done pretty well so I'm happy.

Derby for me had a younger squad that doesn't need completely dismantling and putting back together again. I feel they would have faired better, QPR may sign everyone but they need to pretty much completely replace the squad to stand a chance. This means it will take time to gel and we know what happens when you buy in a whole new team.

Fair point, i just think we have more chance of 6 points over derby then QPR. just see who QPR bring in could be interestig they are not gonna be relegated so easily next season  i feel

There is no recipe or guarantee for success, which is why sport is so fascinating. Derby are a far more stable club, so hopefully QPR crash and burn, again.

For me I just like being the only eat midlands team in the premiership. If Derby had gone up, everyone would say how they and burnley produced miracles and moneybags leicester bought the league. At least with QpR we dont look bad. Everyone is just taking the mick out of them.

None of the QPR players will really care though, Harry is supposedly a great motivator but most of their players look like they couldn't care less

QPR would have learnt something from there last spell in the premier league, but it won't stop there spending especially when Arry is in charge, putting the club in even more debt! I actually think next year will be his final year in management. As usual he'll leave behind the club in a bit of a mess with a squad full of over waged and underachieved players.

What?

Did you not the play off final? Defensively, they were throwing themselves in front of everything, Rob Green was immense and Zamora went potty when he got the winner.

They looked like a side far from being not bothered to me.

Rather than posting something you think you should because its mainstream, try posting something thats actually real.

Making out that those players didnt give a shite, both at Loftus Road and then at Wembley, for example, makes you look silly. Come on.

Don't think so, Derby seem a well-run, stable club with an exciting attacking line-up. QPR need major surgery this summer, have been less than entertaining this season and finished 22 points behind us having spent around £10 million in pre-season and brought in high profile loan signings.

They would, probably because of the £2 million promotion bonus they all got.

Sod off derby there's only one pride in the east midlands that's leicester up the city😃😃

I was hoping Derby would have come up. If I remember correctly, they came up with us when we got promoted under MON. Would have been a good omen!

The only one looking silly is the one with the constant and shortlived (one-year) defense of QPR because he put money on the team to win promotion and who then goes on acting silly by throwing his toys out of the pram when he is caught red-handed with own statements that contradict himself and statements in style he tends to hold up against others.

Zamora went potty because he couldn't believe he had actually scored again. His third goal in 17 matches, what a return for a striker.

Heck, who wouldn't go potty when faced with salvation from the tough league that is the Championship via playoff final?

You exaggerate QPR's defensive capabilities and fail to mention how poor Derby were at creating chances.

If QPR had give a **** all season, they wouldn't have finished fourth in the league table.

Its clear you still don't want to give either Redknapp any credit, nor his team.

Yes, they faltered. They lost their top scorer to injury at the same time that we took off and went on an amazing run. Burnley, like many said they would, actually didn't lose momentum. By the time QPR pulled themselves back round, we were long gone.

Then, QPR had to negotiate the play offs. Which they did, albeit luckily. Derby were never going to be push overs were they? They are a good side with good players and a great team spirit.

However, QPR did what they had to.

That's how I saw it. If you want to keep on banging on with your clear dislike of a club and manager because it fills your time to do so, that's up to you.

But I don't agree with you. As I didn't with all those who claimed that QPR had fooked it up three months ago, when actually they hadnt. There were still three months of the season left and they had good players with an experienced manager.

Don't get me wrong, congrats to 'Arry and QPR's overpaid bunch of lazy fookers for being oh so lucky for once.

Credit where credit is due.

I predicted QPR would win the playoffs.

They have big game players who stepped up when needed for the big occasion, Derby deserved to go up more so than QPR but it doesn't work like that.

And yes I agree that QPR will do better next season than Derby would. Money IS a massive factor in football like it or not. Because they failed last time it just means they're more likely to succeed this time.

At last, some sense.

Debating with MC really is like pulling teeth.

I don't think that h is right.  QPR will be less a threat to us due to the debts the club have.and the huge wage bill for a lot of very old and not highly marketable players.  They won't be able to compete for players in the same way we can due to their financial circumstance.

I think Derby as an organisation would be more of a worry to us as a more serious competitor.
